This is a nice town to live in most of the locals have shortened the name to E-town. It's next to…read moreRadcliff they keep it real no shortening it R-Cliff & Ft. Knox. This area has a Main Street old section and a modern shopping mall along with plenty of chain styled and franchised places that most will recognize. I've met a few snowbirds down in Naples, who have land here it is a good days drive to SWFL. 1000 miles. In 15 hours. The traffic here gets a little crazy at times. But rarely ever a real rush hour like the big city ie. Chicago. 34/2014

We Came across this giant gumball machine sculpture made out of straw in Bardstown and had to stop…read moreand look. It's quirky, unexpected, and honestly pretty fun to stumble upon in an open field. The colors pop against the natural setting, and the creativity alone makes it worth a photo. Not something you see every day, but that's kind of the point simple, playful public art that makes you smile. Go check it out

Although our trips to and from Ohio have never allowed us time to explore Elizabethtown much at all, we have certainly enjoyed the conveniences offered at the exit off of I65 including the White Castle (closest thing we have to WC in Alabama is Kystal) and the BP gas station across the street. Here I would stock up on postcards, snacks, drinks, and scratch off lotto tickets! The BP also has clean restrooms, and makes a nice area to walk the dogs if they came along on a trip!

Plenty of construction and shopping as we speak even during the past 4 years. This year was the first/ inaugural (BBB) BBQ blues and bike festival. On Saturday May25 of memorial day weekend. Plenty to do and see. It is a family oriented party to celebrate the beginning of summer showcasing bikes music and food. I hear it did quite well with around 20K people attending. Didn't see any wild or crazy activity. Who knows maybe next year?
