The response was, "You've had your check-up for the year, you can either pay $144 for another check-up tomorrow or go to Hospital Emergency or an "After Hours Clinic" now". In COVID times, this is not what you want to hear, and isn't why you ran there for help. I ended up calling my GP, who referred me to an Urgent Care Centre in Brampton, which turned out to be very safe and well managed. In addition, I found a great Opthomologist in Orangeville through a friend, no thanks at all to Bolton Vision Centre. I'm cancelling my next appointment with them.

She is very patient and has a cheerful personality which puts a BIG smile on my face during my visit :) I felt very at ease in her hands. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable - overall, a very pleasant experience, thank you :) During the comprehensive eye examination, I got my pupils dilated. Be sure to bring a pair of sunglasses with you if you're driving - you will be sensitive to lights! Or you can purchase a fashionable pair in their dispensary. The clinic carries a great selection of brand name eyewear and sunglasses! We also did something called Optomap wide-field retinal scan, which carefully and thoroughly checks the inside of the eye for any hidden eye diseases, monitors suspicious areas and changes from year to year, and confirms that everything is healthy! During the visit, I also learned that Dr. Tang specializes in contact lens wear, LASIK consultation, and Ortho-K (AOK) overnight corrective contact lens for myopia control in children. You can also make an appointment online anytime using their real-time schedule - very convenient and easy to use. I went to a trendy DT Toronto spot for my glasses and while the styles were great and the service was thorough, there was a disconnect with me having to go somewhere else to get my eyes tested before choosing my frames and lenses - a Wal-mart no less. I walked in and wanted to ask about the headaches I'd been having since getting my new glasses and Dr. Allyson took my glasses and ran them under a special machine to examine exactly what my prescription was and what they were comprised of. Thankfully everything checked out and Dr. A explained that because this was a slightly stronger prescription than I was used to that headaches were normal and to be expected. While I was happy with the individual service I received from both the Wal-mart optometrist and the store I purchased my glasses at, I think in future I would prefer to visit Dr. Allyson so I know that every part of my experience is in-house at one location. I usually settle on a frame and leave with a lighter wallet. I end up with something I like, but definitely not something I love. If this hasn't happened to you, then that's great - good for you! But that has been my experience countless times at other optical stores. But then I found Pearle Vision. What an amazing experience, every time! I can't get over how well Sal and Suzanne jive together. They are such a great team and it makes me happy to be a part of it, even just for a little while. It just so happens that every time I go in, it's them two. I'm sure the other people working there are amazing too. Suzanne's wonderful with glasses. She helped me find the right frames without any problems or second guessing. Just a little FYI - I second guess a lot of things but her frame suggestion wasn't one of them. When I go to get new frames or contacts, there's usually a promotion going on which helps if my insurance doesn't kick in the same year. This Peale Vision has a lot of great frames to choose from including the affordable brands and the not so affordable brands. You might read this and feel like I'm being too positive or perky. Truth be told, I sat there while Suzanne was filling out my insurance direct pay and thought whether or not they've been rated on Yelp. I saw there wasn't anything for this location and felt like they deserved to be recognized for their outstanding customer service. I had purchased a couple (pricey) sunglasses online; when I received them, the arms were too wide. I googled eyeglass repair shops and this place was among the first couple establishments suggested. Desperate for any form of help and/or advice, I stopped by the place. The owner (sorry, I forgot his name) was so incredibly helpful. As challenging as it was to make adjustments due to the style of the glasses, he was able to figure out a solution. I was so ecstatic!!! Not only did he amend the alignment of the temple arms so I could now wear my glasses, he did so expecting NO COMPENSATION! I was so eternally grateful, I persisted to INSIST he accept my offer of payment. Afterward, he gave me a lovely token (glasses care products). I'm am in AWE of his kindness and professionalism! I cannot recommend Amazing Optical more!!! You will not be disappointed!

Update! I had an emergency happen when I somehow scratched…read moreone of my eye glass lenses 2 days before a 2 week trip to asia. I dropped it off and was told that they would try their best to get it done by the next day. When I called the next day, to my horror and not their fault they said that the work was not done because their courier did not pick up my glasses due to the big snow storm we had the previous day. Clarence the owner assured me that he would drive up to Richmond Hill ( where the lab was) and get it done and drop it off to my house that night. And he did at 10pm, 6 hours before my flight! The fact that he went above and beyond my expectations totally blew me away! I offered to pay extra for his gas etc and he vehemently declined.... This is 5 star service in my books!!
