UPDATE: After posting about this AWFUL experience also known as the TRUTH...The owner Anthony sent my husband an email calling me and my minor daughter whores. He accused me of sexually assaulting one of the onsite movers. And if that lie wasn't bad enough he accused one of my minor daughters with performing oral sex on an entire baseball team. Now I have 2 daughters so I have no idea if he's referring to my middle school child or my elementary school child. WHAT A DESPICABLE MAN!!!! He then offered me $350 to take down the reviews I put up. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I'd be willing to show anyone who's interested the pictures of the harassing emails he sent my family. These guys are swindlers!!!! James came to my house and quoted me a $3483 for 2 trucks, 5 men, and 12 hours. On move day they sent one truck. Lied to me and my husband telling us that the other truck they planned to send had engine trouble, but the worker put the owner on speaker phone and I listened to him say that he sent the 2nd truck to another job and they'd try to get the truck over to my house once it was done. Of course that never happened. They ended up packing up 90% b/c that's all that could fit, which is why I was quoted for 2 trucks. They make the 1st trip to the new house, and told me and my husband that we need to pay them $2000 in cash otherwise they will not be unloading us. Its like 5pm on a Saturday, where in the world are we going to get that kind of cash. Prior to the move we provided our CC for the deposit, reservation, and expected to use that for the balance. But they said they couldn't take CCs over the weekend. I offered to come to their location at that moment to pay with CC and they insisted on cash. The owner told us to call our bank and ask them to give us a temporary increase so we could take the cash out. We took enough cash out to cover what was quoted, b/c the owner also said that since they didn't send the 2nd truck they'd discount us and that we wouldn't pay one penny over what we were quoted...LIES!!!! They took our $2000 and never finished the drop. They left the remaining items at the old house and then of course stop answering the phone until my husband threaten legal action. Then the owner called us back and cursed us out. Told us he was from the Bronx, and we were DC Slicksters and we didn't have the money to pay for the job. He told us that if we think that he's doing this job for a discount (he offered a discount) that we were smoking crack like our president Barack Obama. He told my husband that I had a big mouth and he needed to put a sock in it. He was by far the nastiest person I'd ever dealt with. And James, the guy who provided the quote...NEVER answered our calls. But thankfully not all of his employees are crooks, because his worker Dylan, the one he spoke so highly of told the truth after he coerced him into telling a lie and taking the fall for the awful way the move turned out. He forced his employee to lie and say that he decided not to finish the move as if the company owner isn't the one that told him not to finish the move. Well the one honest thing that the owner said was that Dylan was a honest guy b/c I talked to Dylan after my long conversation with the owner, and after the 3-way call between Dylan and the owner and Dylan told the truth. Update 6/29/2017: After leaving this review, they contacted me. They said they never got my emails due to a server issue and they sent me a money order for the cost of a new drill. I'm giving them another star for making good. I went with Classic Relocation mostly because of the good reviews even though they were on the pricier side, so I felt the need to post about my experience. I moved mid-March of 2017 The move itself went well, but but my power drill and bits went missing in the move. I had it out for the guys, in case they needed it when taking things apart and putting it back together. I texted they guy who moved me, the next day and got no response. I also emailed my sales person, John twice and got no response. Previously, he was very responsive. Now it's June, I have fully unpacked and still no drill. I also went back to my old place to check for it there. I'm guessing it got left in the truck by mistake and I missed it when doing my final check. Things can easily go missing during a move and I find the lack of response unacceptable. It honestly makes me wonder if it was taken on purpose. Otherwise, the move when well. They were careful, considerate and nothing got damaged. I was charged way more than the quote but my move DID took a few hours longer than original estimate. I can not reccommend them because of their lack of response after the move. read more

Wonderful experience with this crew. Like another reviewer stated, the bid is the bid. There were no hidden costs or unexpected expenses. This was one of our biggest concerns. They were late on arrival, but really worked fast (but carefully) to pack out all our stuff. This job was a "multi- pick up and drop off" and they handled this extremely well. They had to drive into Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, so they got to see a lot of traffic. The crew was very polite, clean, and organized. Bravo! Con: They said they would be here between 7 & 8, but didn't get to us until 9. Communication could have been better at this point - we were sitting and waiting until 8:15 before we heard anything, when we called. Pros: They are professional. They are fast. They are clean. They stick with their price. They are nice! We strongly recommend them. We want to give 4.5 stars, but Yelp won't let us. Hire them! read more

Basically in a nutshell stay away - every negative review on here is 100% correct. We told Vince exactly what we need and then they show up nearly 9 hours late with a truck that is already 25% full and now tell us that they have to charge us for 2 trips if they cant fit everything. The owner gets on the phone calls my wife several names which cant go on here and then the funniest is part is that he says the problem is that she is a democrat and that due to vinces age of 70 he does not know how to update a deal properly and that it doesnt matter. BEWARE THESE MOVERS ARE SCAM ARTISTS This company also operates under the name Excel Carriers which is also run by Anthony and John. I also had the experience where they came with a small truck instead of a normal one. They had to do 2 shifts and refused to unload the second shift unless I went to the bank and got them additional cash! Please know that if a mover does this to you, call the Police immediately. The workers took a looooong lunch break and left their garbage everywhere. They also broke a few of my belongings and even came back to pick up a wardrobe they broke as they claimed they would get it fixed. This company helped me get my friends 3 bedroom house done. The job was two trucks and the other movers completed full packing and protected my furniture. If it was possible to explain how great the foreman and movers worked, I would. Hire these guys for a righteous move ! It was between 4 companies and we happily selected the best one and are happy that everything worked out excellent. I would hire them again and expect all tellers to do the same . Don't use this company. They are the worst of worst. They damaged my stuff, overcharged me by $1000. They will give you a lower upfront estimate and on the day of the move, they will tell you their credit card machine is not working, they will only take cash and will refuse to offload your stuff until you pay them. Here is the full story of my experience with them. I took them to the court and won the case but trust me you don't want to go through that so avoid them at all cost. On the day of the move, classic showed up late and also with a small truck. They couldn't fit all the stuff in the truck. They tied my mattress outside of the truck and left quite a lot of stuff behind. This is after I had packed two cars with boxes/stuff but their small truck still couldn't hold everything. I had to make multiple trips later to pick up the stuff left behind. Please note, I had packed almost everything already in the boxes. Classic relocation despite getting paid all their demanded amount did not deliver the services as promised. They overcharged me by almost $1000, held my stuff hostage, harassed us and their owner threatened to come to my place and harm me and my family. Movers also stalled in between and wasted about 2 hours of time sitting and doing nothing. I called the cops on them for holding my stuff hostage. While the cops were still at the location, their owner (Anthony) called me again and this time acting very nicely and told me that please come into my office next day and we will refund you any overage charges. Previously, Anthony had refused to even speak to me professionally. Please note up until the move date, I had spoken to John and all of a sudden he became unavailable to speak on the move date. Anthony pretended that his employee (Chris) wasn't listening to him, apologized, and assured that they will make amends. However, soon after the cops left, movers left all the remaining stuff in the garage. I called their owner (Anthony) again and this time he did a 360 again. He was furious that I had called the cops, said racist things and threatened that he would harm my family. Classic relocation also never unloaded some of my furniture, damaged certain items and left many items un-assembled. I wish I had read the reviews earlier because many other reviews shared similar experiences. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. read more

SO BAD - CAN"T EVEN RATE THEM!! I did a move from NJ to PA with these guys and I have to tell you, they were HORRENDOUS! On-site quote was given by one of the owners, James, for a great price of $4950, including partial packing. Of course we signed up. It started with the first call that they were too busy to deliver in PA on the set date and would wave the overnight fee if we extended delivery. No worries!!! BUT, upon delivery, they came 2 hours late and short-staffed. They started at noon and at 7PM they decide to tell us we have to pay for the extra day holding AND we had to pay for OT, which was 1200 additional!!! Of course, we pointed out the signed contract, which was paid in full and agreed upon!!!! They decide to hold the remainder of our things hostage until we pay up!!! Don't even think that is legal!!! But one of their workers stealing Michael's go-pro isn't!!! Long story short - we negotiate to $400 just so we can get our stuff and at 9 PM they finish by throwing our stuff all over the place, not putting anything in the room it was designated for. So now we have boxes in the garage, all over the living room and even on the lawn!!! NEVER RECOMMEND THEM - in fact, reporting to the BBB. And as a side note, they advertise themselves as military so of course you want to patronize them, but military personnel are more respectful and highly organized professionals - these guys weren't! read more

This was the worst moving experience I ever had. We moved from NJ to FL and by the time they came down to FL most of the stuff was broken and some stuff was missing. The people were stupid and the owner was to. The people also cheated us to. I will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Overall the experience was very good. Guys arrived on time with the truck and we went I we r the estimate but it took longer than expected. They worked hard and were very polite. The only problem was that I could not reach the company on the weekend. I would use again. Besides charging us over $1000 more than "maximum price" we were told we'd be charged, the movers did not listen when asking us what rooms items belonged. We were told that they would take care of packing hanging clothes in our closets using wardrobe boxes. What they failed to mention is that suits would be rolled into balls and thrown in the bottom of said boxes with a vacuum cleaner piled on top upside down. Just an overall bad experience. I don't know how they have stayed in business this long. before I tell you my story because they won't answer or return any of our calls. we have to come together so they can't keep doing this to people. we are calling every agency out there. they can put the word out there, to all the agencies that do referring letting them know how terrible. to all that have been screwed over by them, they could keep getting FINES, until they make restitution. I intend to notify every agency, and every where I see them mentioned. they screwed us over, claimed if there were damages their insurance would take care of it. NOT TRUE another SCAM. e are partially to blame for the price, but trust me we still got screwed. the best is the way the man we spoke to kept telling us he was a VET, honest, honorable etc. disgusting that he'll use that to get business)), we were told they would p/u our stuff at our house and then proceed to a storage locker to p/u the rest of our stuff. we kept adding boxes to our original count (they never came to see what we had they just gave us a price. every time we called we were told no problem and don't worry about items we didn't know how to pack they would take care of it. they showed up on time on a sunday. they were professional and my brother who we left in charge called during the move stating what a great job they were doing. we made an agreement to pay 800.00 at time of p/u. we get a call a few mins later stating they want 3200.00 or their stopping. My brother doesn't carry that much cash and it was sun so banks were closed. we called vince and we got him to let us wire the money on mon. after the house they went to storage, they didn't have enough room so they were given the key to the locker and the code and my brother stressed over and over that come tues we would be closed out so they had to p/u mon. of course they yessed him. on tues morning we kept calling trying to find out when we would get our stuff. now vince wouldn't p/u or call us back which made us nervous. on FRI we get a call from our storage company telling us that a juan was here to p/u the stuff in our locker. we no longer had the locker so to make this short we had to pay for the mo. $258.00. we talk to vince and he advises our stuff will arrive tues. we get a call mon from the driver who tells us we have to have 3000.00 in cash or p/o check. my husband flipped and called vince to remind him of the storage fee and how were we now paying 6000.00. he reduced and we told the driver we would give him cash. well now the horror really begins. when the driver arrived, he told my husband he wanted the money before he would even open the doors. he unlocked the truck and told us 2 guys would be there shortly to unload. when the doors opened the inside was so filthy I almost cried because its a new home with new carpet, the boxes. were just thrown into the truck weather they were fragile, this side up, boxes not to have anything on top were now on the bottom. my jewelry box was upside down, the covers on mattress was torn off and the dirt from the trailer was now all over them. now that I am emptying boxes I have more broken items than I could even want to think about because i'm not done and I've cried enough over the unreplaceable items. I do have to say the 2 gentlemen that showed up to unload were exceptional and there couldn't have been anyone better. I guess that's because they don't work for the company. Do not use this company. After assuring me of safe packing of antiques and valuable items, they overstuffed a truck and thereby damaged many pieces of furniture and valuables including an 18th century oil painting. After spending thousands to repair the painting and other pieces, I received no compensation despite reassurances that by Mr. John McCullen that I would be made whole for their mishandling of my belongings. Although friendly as could be prior to our contracting with him, he failed to even return calls after these problems arose. I continue even months after the move to discover new damage done by Classic Relocation movers. I strongly advise against using Classic Relocation. read more

I read several Yelp reviews on different moving companies before making my choice because moving is stressful enough as is and I wanted to have this done as simple as possible. What I read was that a lot of companies had reviews about nice customer service over the phone but terrible movers, who were late, rude, and overpriced and was very hesitant before choosing the right one. However when moving day came my new landlord gave me 1 days notice and my options were cut short. I called them on a Sunday and within 1 hour had a time and estimate confirmed ready to go for when I needed to move in. When it came to price they actually overestimated me on the front end conversation and I ended up paying 150$ less because they didn't stay as long as they precedented. They also called and updated me on the exact time they'd arrive and were very prompt and polite. Everyone I worked with at Class Relocation was courteous, respectful and did whatever they could to make my move seamless. As a woman who moved alone, I would 100% recommend to anyone!! I have never seen people like the workers from classic relocation. The first time they moved us they were awesome and very helpful. When they came back the second time to move me into my new apartment they were rude and damn near threatening. They demanded a 20% tip and refused to take the check from the state for the moving expenses. The check had already been approved by Vince from classic relocation. They were throwing things into the truck and just downright wrong. When the items arrived at the apartment they just dropped them anywhere they wanted and ended up breaking many of our items. Collectibles that were from my parents that cannot be replaced and we still haven't found the microwave that we know was in the storage bin and my glass TV stand. I have left messages for Vince regarding this issue and have gotten no reply. I would never ever recommend this place again and as far as the foreman Igor he's a freaking jerk who obviously has no respect for anybody especially not women. He tried to intimidate me into giving him a 20% tip and they left half of our stuff in the storage unit because they said they didn't have to move it. The previous movers from Classic Relocation were awesome and very kind and helpful. This asshole Igor and his crew were unprofessional, rude and downright worthless. We are going to be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau because of business like this shouldn't be. Every box we go through we're finding more broken items because they obviously were not careful when they were moving our things. So long story short and something like this I could talk a long time about. I am a Marine who did a tour in Afghanistan and when I got home I was really banged up. I went Through a hell of a lot and my family included. I brought them through the storm too. I came up with Backpacks for life after I got my self better. I find organizations that help out Veterans and put their information In a backpack and go out to the streets and hand them out to homeless Veterans. If you are reading this you got it. This is one organization I am proud to say they will be in the backpack. I had a Veteran call me asking for help moving. He had a couple medical and financial problems. I said I would call around. I called about twelve moving companies and the all said no except for this one. First spoke to a man named Nathan and he said he would talk to one of the owners who was a former Marine. Sure enough I got a call that following morning from James saying the would be honored to help this Marine move. So they moved him for free. You want to talk about amazing service! Beyond that, these men kept their word and were on time for everything. If you want a company that has honor like this to help out a stranger that just called to ask them something like this and take it on the following week.....well this is the company. These people are crooks. They promised me a capped price, but intentionally omitted that detail in the contract. After 9 hours , the boss, Anthony, and estimator Nathan started calling me constantly, threatening to call police on me!!! if I don't agree to pay the movers overtime. When I refused, trying to remind them that their explicit promise to cap my price was the only reason I agreed to hire them, they said "Show us where it's written in the contract". So I realized that it's their well-used scheme to misrepresent their price, lure customers in with cheaper estimates and then to verbally insult and threaten them to make them pay more. I was outraged at this fraudulent scheme and refused to pay them more. And they just ordered their frontman to unload the truck that was already loaded with my belongings!!! Movers just left!!! They did not finished the job!!! They said they will make a second trip (the move was only a 20 min ride)because they couldn't fit everything in the truck, but they just left me with the moving only half-done. The movers themselves broke legs on two separate pieces of furniture and badly scratched my gorgeous new floors. I hired this company on the advice of the manager of my storage facility. John the sales rep seemed very responsible at the time and I felt I would be treated fairly and not subjected to the usual moving scams. I explained I did not want anything wrapped as a lot of my furniture was going to be donated, but the boxes in the unit needed to be moved. I got an estimate for the packing and moving of 950 dollars, The moving crew arrived and started wrapping stuff that was for donations which I told them was not necessary and did not even have to go that the boxes needed to be moved. They said there was enough room on the truck to take everything. They continued wrapping and an hour later the leader came to me with a bill for 550 for wrapping after a short discussion he called the owner Anthony who cut the bill in half for blanket use and tape which I did not want to begin with. They could not fit a 14 foot truck worth of my belongings and I was required to hire another flat rate mover at a cost of 400 to complete my move.The move took longer than estimated due to the wasted time wrapping and I was hit for another 450 before unloading at my new location. Upon unloading they dropped a case containing expensive wine and liquor valued at around 500, they put a cut in my leather sofa removing the unwanted wrappings and because they took it apart it now has to be against a wall as the base is loose and recliner is not working properly. The top of my Thomasville dinning room chair is missing and is not replaceable. They tried to hit me for more money before they finished unloading as they complained they were not getting paid for the extra time. I told them the only money I had left was 350 dollars and that included their tip. I told them if they wanted a tip great otherwise put the money toward the move I did not care. The end result was they finished later than they were supposed to and everything was left in my living room and garage. Total cost including tip was 2000 out of which 1650 was paid to Classic. I called and asked for my Veterans discount 12 times since July. John is polite but does absolutely nothing. I have never filed an insurance claim for any of my damages or f which would be more than the cost of the move, or file a complaint with the BBB. I only wanted my 165 veterans discount, if you say you offer a veterans discount my feeling is honor it. After all the BS stories and promises given by John I no longer care about the 165. I just wanted to see if they were a reputable company and kept their promises, they are not. If you use them ask for flat rate and beware of their scams they are not the veteran friendly honest company they claim to be. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. Although the movers were nice and nothing got damaged, they are a rip off with no customer service. Original quote was for a 2 1/2 job with an hour travel. Pack up was only an hour but travel for them was over 2. Funny how I left after them, traveled the same path and made it to the new house is less than hour. They said there was a lot traffic! BS! When I go to give them a check from an estate account that Vince approved, driver won't take. He calls his boss (not Vince) and they say no. Called Vince but not available. Then the driver says the job was sold off to him and even if Vince agreed to a check he won't take it. BS! I go to ATM and get part in cash and tell him I have to pay the rest by check. He wants to check written out to him personally. BS! I comply, as my furniture is still in the truck until he gets paid. Unloading takes 45 minutes. In the haste & confusion I did not get a receipt. My bad! I sent 3 emails and spoke to Vince twice asking for a copy of the receipt with the new amount via e-mail. I've yet to receive anything. Horrible customer service. So unprofessional.
