We chose to pay the extra $100 to have Jamie pick it up for us because it would have had to just be me on the way back to the marina and there's a pretty tight bridge between here and there. We were surprised to receive an email several days later that he would indeed be charging us for the week. With the mechanical issues alone, although the family was disappointed, machines break unexpectedly at times. For Captain Mannis to look us in the eye, commit to something, and later default on that is inexcusable.

You are aloud to bring a cooler on the boat(with adult beverages if you wish) , but there's also a huge cooler with ice on the boat if you'd rather. Captain Christy was extremely patient and attentive with my two girls. My youngest was a bit scared at first, but Captain Christy made her feel comfortable and by the end she was practically driving the boat! We caught three keepers but the fish biting all day and Christy put us on them early! When we returned to the dock captain took us over to the cleaning tables. She cleaned and filleted the fish for us and packed them on ice. We had a great day! If you're looking for a small intimate fishing charter, these are the folks for you!!

We have rented boats down here before, but the day is not nearly as enjoyable when you are trying to navigate, learn the waterways, and follow safety roles. Captain Benny is absolutely amazing. His boat is set up wonderfully for cruising, even though it is primarily used for fishing. Captain Benny knows the waterways and was able to navigate the wind allowing us to hit everywhere we wanted to hit (even though the wind was a factor that day). Cruising with Captain Benny (or his other captains) is a fabulous experience. They know where the dolphins are, where the fish are, and are extremely entertaining/helpful for learning Florida's waterways. I cannot recommend Captain Benny and Jump on Charters more highly. This family run, veteran owned business is such an asset to our community! Do yourself a favor and if you have family members coming in from out of town, book a charter with them. Personalized service, fun captains, and a very safe day of boating. Trust me, you won't regret it!
