John Gagnon put a new top on my 16 year old convertible a few weeks ago and fixed a rip in the…read moredriver's seat. He did a great job and only needed the car for two days. Before my car when in, he was just finishing a Mustang and as I was picking us my car, he had started work on an old Mercedes SL. If you've ever wondered where you go to get a convertible top replaced, Gagnon's is the place. Next year I'll have to work on making the rest of the car look as good as the top! Quick update (10/21/16): The new top is great, no leaks and no problems. The only thing I didn't realize was that in the beginning, I'd have to gently help the plastic window to learn how to fold and I might have gotten it off to a bad start if I had known that. But it's late October in Maine so the top probably isn't coming down until next spring and I'll work on it then. I still love it.

After I chose from his recommend fabric sample I went to his shop ( which is located in his house) and after he told me 'great choice in color and in fabric ' somewhere in the time after meeting me . He was sure the fabric was 'too expensive' for me. Even after I assured him that I was aware of the price and told be that I wanted that fabric Because he was reluctant to order the first fabric base on the price I did compromise and asked him to order a cheaper option (at his suggestion) which after 5 days he never even ordered that second fabric- After 10 days with no fabric order because he decided on his own not to order it . And not even an invoice for materials. I was left feeling insulted and ignored throughout the ordeal . Despite his excitement over the phone , upon meeting me he expressed longer wait time and the need for less expensive fabrics He did not participate much in discussions. Saying 'no phone contact and 'he didn't like to handle people money' After almost two weeks of this I asked to just have the chair back. He did at least bring the chair back ( still needing to be reupholstered) waste of time . Little to no communication . Difficult experience. Do not recommend

His snow blower quit during the last storm, and TK made an appt to go and pick it up at his home. He completely forgot about it and was not there at the agreed upon time. When they called him to reschedule, and to explain he would be billed for the missed pickup, my brother was very unpleasant and hung up on them. Later, when I was paying his bills, I contacted TK to ask about the fee (I didn't know any of the above occurrence). I spoke with Steve who was very understanding and very kind. He understood the difficulty we are having, and the "awkward" stage between independence and losing freedom to manage things himself with dementia and he credited the fee back to us. I cant speak to their work - but I can speak to their humanity. I will speak highly of Steve's integrity and service to anyone who needs small engine repair!!

In most cases the furniture is ordered and delivered to your home 30-90 days out depending on what it is. Our couch took 90 days because they are built to order. You can choose from a ton of different fabrics that vary in durability and ease of cleaning. We recently visited to check out bar stools and fell in love with very comfortable, but very expensive lounge chairs. We opted to go elsewhere for cheaper bar stools so maybe we could better afford the chairs in the future. High recommend to everyone!

Stitch lines in the leather that were abandoned, and then restitched above the first line leaving the holes that were abandoned still there. Seriously? - Patched pieces of the wrong color used. Looked like he just chose a scrap piece that was nearby, instead of making the attempt to find a matching color. Lazy. - Mismatched pieces of patch used for the same area on each shoe. Why not make an identical looking piece for each shoe? When the shoes are seen together the oversight is easily seen, and it degrades the finished product. Everyone who has seen it is appalled at how poorly the work was done. That is your advertisement for your shop Mike, and the work you do?? Bottom line: Mike took a custom made shoe and made it look like crap. Returned for correction and he quickly states he can do nothing more. Funny, but two other cobblers saw his work and were flabbergasted by his extremely poor attempt at a repair. One of those shops now has the task of fixing Mike's mess. (At a cost to me!) Step one for the new shop? Choosing the correct color patch! Look elsewhere for a cobbler who takes pride in his work.
