Before I start, a silly reminder to mark down or write down which port you are leaving from. This…read morewill be important to know when you are going back and exiting the island. There is not one but several ports of entry. I followed Google Maps and that's the port I used. Another tip that will save you some $. Drive one more street (Yong St. toward Kibo Sushi) and you will find a parking lot that charges $20 from 6am-6pm versus the one near the Jack Layton Perry Dock that charges $20 for 2 hours! Come really early as initially we had difficulty finding a parking that would fit our SUV (w/o scratching ours and others' cars!) When we complained and were about to leave, the parking attendant found us a better space that had more room. We came with our toddler (2.5-ish) just for her. I agree with sentiment of some other reviewers that the rides could use an upgrade. If it's first time your kid is riding, I would sit with them on slower rides. At least they had some animals (rabbits, donkey, horses, sheep?, goats, and Llamas). Food is the same that you would expect anywhere in an amusement. Pizzas, burgers, fries, etc. etc. Important note: When going back, you will see "Water Taxi" signs and "Ferry". Do not stand in massive line for Ferry. We waited almost an hour then decided to ditch the line and it didn't take us much time to get a water taxi instead. There were few people and in very short time, enjoyed our ride back. Kudos to the water taxi companies. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Grossly overpriced. But this is what you get when no competition. The sign says celebrating 55…read moreyears. Looks like they have not replaced the rides in 55 years. I was laughing when I saw cobb Webbs on rides and fences. It's so old! Outdated. We went on a weekday so at least it was not crowded. However, not worth coming here and waiting in long lines. It's old and outdated and expensive. Basically those are the 3 adjective describe this place! It's for kids 10 and under I would say. You can go in and do splash pad for free. No tickets needed to enter, only to go on rides.

Tip - if drive out of the lot and turn right, there is a lane way that takes you to the parking. The process for check in was smooth and we were led to start of the trail. They only allow a handful to go in each time. Here is my honest review. Do I think it was worth the price? Hm some aspects yes and others not so much. The story is you are in the future etc and through out the walk the story really was not captivating. Some features especially at the beginning were absolutely mesmerizing and others not so much. I have done a similar experiences else where and this was underwhelming. Overall, it was a calming experience but I will not return to experience again.

COVID-19 has been hitting many people hard. Among the hardest...the influencers. No more travel…read morevlog pics. No more #sponsored events. Life is hard as a pandemic era influencer. But fear not, what if I tell you of an event with unlimited photo opportunities and filter friendly imagery, while being outdoors and compliant with all social distancing restrictions. Terra Lumina is a marvelous lightshow, perfect for taking and tagging photos. Located within the Toronto Zoo and run by Moment Factory, it's 1.5km of beautiful light effects that glitter, glow, pulsate, and illuminate. It is a night walk experience that surrounds you with video projections, immersive storytelling, and ambient sounds and music. This year's theme centered around being the change today for a better tomorrow. There were light fixtures that made you feel like you were in a future world where nature rebounds and thrives, while music created by Indigenous artists created the perfect backdrop. While we couldn't see any animals, the zoo was the perfect place to convey the message about saving the earth. Even if options weren't limited right now, this was a wonderful event with a poignant message in the perfect setting. For $30, we had a beautiful experience for about an hour and a half...and of course, some really fantastic pictures to post on social media.

We enjoyed exploring the variety of rides, though because our visit was at the end of the season, not all rides were available. Regardless, we had a great time. The Viper and the Predator were favorites from our visit. Lines were barely forming when we first arrived and kept moving nicely throughout the day. The kids area is very cute with a nice variety of rides. The staff we interacted with were all pleasant and helpful. The park has a good-sized parking lot with some EV charging stations available.

It's always been a charming, manageable park with reasonable wait times. You can easily hit both the amusement park and the waterpark in one day, which is a huge win. Compared to Canada's Wonderland, which I also grew up going to, we definitely prefer Darien Lake now. Wonderland's crowds are out of control, and it's just not worth the hassle anymore. At Darien Lake, you actually get your money's worth. The coaster lineup is solid for a smaller park, with highlights being: Ride of Steel Tantrum Viper The Predator Plus lots of other fun rides scattered throughout the park. As for the waterpark, it was just okay this time. The Lazy River is fairly basic, and two of the more popular slides were running slowly, causing bottlenecks. Not sure why, but the water was freezing cold, especially on slides like Tornado, still a great ride, but would've been more enjoyable with slightly warmer water. Yes, the park is a bit dated in areas and could use some TLC, but despite that, Darien Lake continues to be a lovable and worthwhile spot. Whether you're going for nostalgia or just want a fun, full day without the chaos of bigger parks, this place still hits.
