I just hosted a bachelorette for my…read morelifelong bestie this weekend so needless to say I felt a tremendous amount of pressure to host the perfect night for her. I booked NudeTO like 8 months in advance like the super type A human that I am and they were nothing but gracious, professional and quick with their responses as I changed details, dates, constant questions, etc. throughout the process. The day of the event, the crew of 3 (manager, instructor and model) showed up early as promised, quickly got to work setting up and were ready right on time. Of course, we weren't. While we waited for the rest of our guests to arrived the NudeTO crew patiently waited for about 30-40 minutes with ZERO complaints. Our model Carl literally hid in the bathroom the whole time so as not to ruin the surprise. When we finally started the instructor was SO amazing. We had a group of 25 girls drawing and she kept everyone on track. Our model Carl. Omg. He was something out of this world. I wish I could write all of the hilarious comments I was told about him after but they are not PG13. So good looking. Now, let me get to the best/worst part. In the middle of the class (which was set up in our basement) the upstairs toilet leaked into the basement causing complete chaos. We had to take like a 30 min break while things got cleaned up. Again, no complaints or stress from the NudeTO crew. Once we were able to restart, they got everyone focused again so quickly and the toilet was forgotten. I was SO impressed and incredibly grateful to them. In the days since, I have received numerous compliments on how much fun everyone had, how amazing Carl was, best bachelorette ever, etc. Do not hesitate to hire NudeTO. Not only do they deliver an amazing experience, but they role with the punches of an unpredictable event with so much professionalism. Thank you to the whole crew!!!

I rented the backyard package with some add ons, and I have nothing but the best things to say…read moreabout AllCargos. There are so many benefits of renting from AllCargos that I'm a little bit at a loss as to where to start... Firstly, they have awesome packages that include delivery! Secondly, they offer site inspections free of charge, so that they can advise you on what kind and size of tent to rent! They deliver/pick up the day before/after the event (for free) so that you don't have to be in a panic on the day of the event! They promise a window of time within which the rentals will be delivered/picked up, and THEY ACTUALLY ARRIVE IN THE WINDOW. We got off to a slightly rocky start, as they missed the originally scheduled site inspection, but they made up for the error by providing a discount on the final bill. As the day of the event grew near, I contacted AllCargos more and more frequently with half a dozen order changes. Every time, I was treated extremely professionally, without a hint of exasperation (I would have been annoyed by me). Thank you, AllCargos for making my wedding a perfect day.

Edited based on subsequent outreach from Co…read more Not a great experience with AllCargos. We rented from them recently, and had multiple issues. 1. We reached out to cancel the tent 2 days in advance of the event, received no reply. Followed up with "urgent" note and was told that because no one had "gotten to our email" before the 24 hour deadline, and because they had a higher volume of emails, our cancellation was not logged before 24 hours, so they would be charging us 50% cancellation. They subsequently pointed us to a clause in the terms that highlighted that this is the case if you don't reach them directly, but never in my life have I come across a cancellation policy being conditional on when the company read the email. 2. When they DID respond, they told us not only did we have to pay 50% of the cost, but we also didn't qualify for minimum delivery anymore, so we had to pay the difference to minimum delivery or pay to rent something else. 3. They forgot 4 items at delivery and had to come back again. 5. They could not give an accurate window for pick up, so we had to remain onsite all day the next day. When we followed up to get an update at 6p.m. the next day, they said they couldn't get there until near 8p.m. "because of long weekend traffic." 6. After complaining about our trouble, the only thing they offered was a discount of $9 on one of the tables. After this review, they were in touch to offer us an additional discount to make it right. On the positive side, the tent was nice, and tables were in working order.

After all, worst case scenario was that I'd get a lot of wine for my trouble. The Metropolitan Centre in Scarborough is a fascinating event hall that wears its heritage proudly on its sleeve. It was a bit overwhelming - and a bit humbling to walk in here for the first time and take everything in. This is a sprawling space that offers some of the best food I've had at an event hall in a very long time, and the event was an interesting and fascinating experience. We enjoyed salmon, salad, roasted red peppers, mini potatoes and all the bread and wine we could handle. And the baklava. OH MY GOD THE BAKLAVA. And it was the nice, light baklava that was handmade. I ate like half the plate when they brought it - don't judge me, I'm a growing boy. I will be the first to tell you that I am not literate in Greek culture, so it took some time to acclimate to their customs. When in doubt, kiss the hands of your elders and hug everyone you can. It was very interesting to see the reverence the assembled guests (including several politicians) had for the academy, which is affiliated with Saint-Paul University and teaches young men to be priests. This was definitely an experience I won't soon forget, and the venue was classy and filled with good times and great food. If I ever have the chance to attend the Metropolitian again in the future, I'll be there without delay. Highly recommended.
