The interior of the place looks recently renovated, and its beautiful with white and marble decorations everywhere. The other attendees were walking around taking photos of the place. As the name implies, it does have a crystal fountain. It's a little bit underwhelming, but it does make a great centerpiece. We had a buffet style continental breakfast and lunch, and food was served along the edges of the fountain. I read a comment on here about how the chairs were nice enough to not be decorated and I completely agree! Their tables and chairs required very little decoration as it's already really nice. The only thing that was a bit strange was that the main washrooms were upstairs, and they weren't particularly nice either. They do have washrooms on the main floor but they're quite small (two stalls each).

While food was being served, the server handing out pieces of the lamb leg behaved in a way that I found extremely rude and disrespectful. She essentially threw the piece of lamb onto the plate of the person in front of me and then did the same to me, with a very unpleasant attitude and absolutely no smile, courtesy, or welcoming behaviour. I was so uncomfortable with the way the food was being served that I put the piece back. Several people behind me also refused to take the food because of the way she was treating guests. I later approached her politely and asked if I could speak with a manager. The manager was standing nearby, and she pointed me toward him. I politely asked him to step to the side so I could explain what had happened privately, as I did not want to discuss the matter in front of other guests. Instead of accommodating a very reasonable request, he rudely told me that I should speak to him right where he was standing. I explained again that I did not want to discuss the situation in front of everyone, but he still refused. When I asked for his name, his response was essentially, "Go find out." I later learned that his name was Dean. What made this particularly disappointing was that this was a wedding for people very close to us. Guests attending a wedding should feel welcomed, respected, and treated with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, the behaviour of both the server and the manager made the experience uncomfortable and left a very negative impression. I understand that events can be busy and stressful, but being busy is never an excuse for treating guests disrespectfully. The way a venue handles a concern says a lot about its management, and in this situation, I felt the response was just as disappointing as the original incident. I would strongly encourage management at Crystal Fountain to review how their staff are trained to interact with guests, particularly during weddings and other important events where people expect professional and respectful service. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the venue and am giving it 1 star.

This is a beautiful facility with several ballrooms that can be scaled to one's desire and budget. The main foyer is huge and bright. The convention centre is conveniently located off Hwy 401, 407 and 410. There's plenty of parking onsite. Our ballroom was elegantly decorated for the evening occasion of music and dance to celebrate the forthcoming wedding. All guests were notified that the theme was Bollywood night, bright colourful attire which made things light and extremely fun! Everything was nicely planned for cocktail hour followed by an excellent dinner. The convention staff were helpful and provided great service.
