First things first. I love vets that have resident pets. In the case of Clayfield Vet Clinic, they have Boss, their charming tabby and white domestic short hair, who you'll find on their photocopier, lounging about in their in tray, or trying to break into the treats jar. Don't worry about bringing your pets into Boss's territory, he's quite friendly. If anything, he just hasn't figured out yet that not everyone wants to be friends with him. The vets will intervene if he ruffles anyone's feathers.
There are four vets there who you can see, all of them have at least 10 years experience. You're onto the goods with these guys. I've only ever had an appointment with Dr Gray, and I'm happy to report that she gives down to earth, common sense advice. She's not going to suggest you spend more money than you have to on superfluous items for your pet if you don't need them. Her bed side manner with pets is second to none. She's relaxed, and she knows how to get things done. She won't waste your time. Also, she explains things in a way that makes everything seem as easy as A B C.
For any international travellers, Clayfield Vet Clinic can help you out with all the checks you need to go through before your pet can be exported to another land. That's a service not provided by the majority of vet clinics as it requires special accreditation. Bonus!
Clayfield Vet Clinic is quite popular, and so I'd advise making an appointment. You can usually get in the same day or the next day. Another good thing- it's an independent family owned practice- now if that doesn't get your vote, what does? Most importantly, It's obvious that all of the vets there are doing what they love. It's not the daily grind for these folk, that's fo' sho'. read more
