I was Rick Busbees first employee at the 1091 HC. He seemed like a nice caring man but I soon found out, on the contrary. I got sick under 4 days of construction in the office I sat and worked in (he knows this in his heart). The 1st day they sanded the ceiling which pretty much snowed particles on me. The 2nd day they placed a thick, pasty substance all over the ceiling which literally pained my eyes. The next morning I woke up with all limbs severely swollen. The 3rd day they sanded (again dust particles falling down) and the last day they painted. It was too much for my body to handle. It turns out I got stage 1 kidney disease, chemical poisoning which has affected my lungs till this very day. Because I loved my new job and am a loyal worker, I continued to go to work because that's my character. Little did Rick know, I would go straight home and sleep the rest of the day for months. My family lost me as a team member in the home. Rick never genuinely cared. He literally said in front of me and under his breath to another employee of the factory that was visiting the home center, that he didn't need a workers Comp case. The conversation took place because of my visible swelling. This is when I started to see RICKS true character. About 4 to 6 weeks later, Rick then hired on another female by the name of Brittany as a Home Center Consultant. She is just as ruthless and money motivated as Rick Busbee. She had the audacity to tell me that my basic supplements that I've taken for fifteen years could have caused the,"all the sudden" swelling in all my limbs and illness. She was not working there at the time of construction and injury to my body. Sheaf no business song such a statement. As time went on, I learned about the business and watched how much money they tuck away in order to profit. They make a great team there because money is their #1 goal. I understand wanting to make money but they people fly way higher than that. They seem authentic and caring but please know what their #1 goal is. This has been a huge life lesson working at this place. I learned how heartless people can be in the world. They lack empathy and human decency (not all that work there but those mentioned). There number one goal is sales which produces money. They smile at you as you walk in but when you walk out, they cheer at the money they've just made off you. Lastly, I wrote a comment back when this all happened and took it down because of the emotional rollercoaster of seeing how heartless people can be. I most importantly had to take care of my health. I watched how after my initial review, they asked people to write reviews on their behalf in order to pull their rating back up. Many of these ratings are not authentically done but done as a favor. It's been a few years now, I struggle with lungs mostly but have grown to be a stronger individual. I've waited for quite sometime to write this review. Because of my lung issues, Im reminded of the incident that took place there and the lack of human care and decency. My wife and I have not never worked with a company like this. Clayton Homes is the best and have very knowledgeable staff. Matt Osborne that my wife and I have been working with on our home needs has been so helpful and very, very knowledgeable. He has very good people skills and should be commanded. The General Manager Dave was also the best to work with. Sharon and Alicia were also very knowledgeable and helpful. Now the project manager Jay meet with us out at the property and showed us different options and recommended things to us and we went with his suggestions and advice.
