They stayed top of mind and that's what ended up making the difference! The team member arrived behind the provided schedule, but wasn't a problem. Their details noted that nobody needed to be home so I was working in the basement, and didn't hear them ring the doorbell. I didn't realize they needed to come in to take the screens off! It appeared the person didn't get my phone number, so poor guy had to wait until I noticed the ring camera notification to be let in. It would be great to have the onsite team member get our contact info. He was quick, efficient and professional - and the windows look amazing! This company has been doing my lights for a few years. Service isn't always great but it is adequate and Ive had lights for the holidays. They have traditionally been more cost effective than some competitors. This year they started the job and came back with a price hike to finish the job which was nearly a thousand more to do the job. They are no longer cost effective. When I balked at the change of life quote (remember they have been doing it for a few years) they immediately sent me invoices for work to date in email and text and followed it up just days later with a second invoice. I have had this company clean my windows twice. The first time was after moving into my home and they were so dirty. They did a great job. The second time I was disappointed. Screens were put in wrong window , one where the window did not open. One put upside down and one on my sunporch was bent leaving a nice place for bugs to come in. I had to remove it. The good things about my experience was that the two workers were very friendly and accommodating. Prior to them coming, I had been told it would take 2-21/2 hours. During the job, I noticed that 4 windows had been skipped in my living room and there was another one with a streak. I told Worker 1 and he immediately took care of the streak and washed two of the living room windows from the inside. As he was finishing, Worker 2 told him not to wash the other two living room windows because he was going to wash them with a spray. They continued to finish the job that at this point had been over 3 hours. Worker 2 later told me they'd have to leave and couldn't wash the two remaining windows in my living room which contradicted his earlier statement that he would use a spray to clean them. I pointed out that the other worker had washed them from the inside, so he then washed them. Because they didn't have the mechanism for a credit card, he said I would receive an invoice, which I appreciated. After they left, I noticed a few window sills and a screen that hadn't been cleaned. I had also been quoted a price in an email that was confirmed twice by Worker 2. I then received an invoice for a higher price than what I had been quoted. I contacted the company and they sent me a corrected bill. I explained the issues I had run into and even though he apologized, I felt the tenor of his email failed to show any concern or actual interest in the problems I encountered. I would've expected him to be much more interested in talking to me to make sure he understood my concerns and that he was taking them seriously. Worker 1 did a great job, but Worker 2 seemed to be the lead worker and I was dissatisfied that he would've actually left without cleaning two of the windows. Also, the job took about 4 hours, not 2 1/2 as I had been told. Because of all these issues, I could not recommend this company and would not use them again. read more

The were fast and efficient and discussed other possible solutions to gutter clogging, like gutter guards, in an informative and non-confrontational manner. They've cleaned my windows, pressure washed my house and cleaned the gutters and the prices were very reasonable. They're my go to for getting the windows cleaned they do such a good job and they even take off the screens and wash them and do the windowsills. I put a 1 star because there are no zero stars. The windows were not clean. Supposedly a cleaner was there because the company allegedly tracks their workers but that worker must have sat in their vehicle because it was raining that morning & my windows are not clean!! I had MY project manager checking on the jobs that day & he didn't even think the outside window washers showed up that day! My project manager was there that same day in the afternoon, while I had an inside crew doing inside windows & he said looking from the inside out, the windows were not clean. Real estate agent came by later & did not think they had been cleaned either. They may have showed up but did not do the work! I DO NOT RECOMMEND. There's a lot of other companies out there. Do not recommend the gutter cleaning service. Was quoted a cost of 217 because I the screens that had to be removed for cleaning. When the team came out they brushes a few leafs off the corner and told me I had screens. When I complained about the cost the team was sent back out at which time the guy just went up on the roof and took pictures to show me everything was clean. read more

I scheduled a window cleaning at our lake home weeks ahead of time. Our neighbors also scheduled the same day to have theirs cleaned. We both received a confirmatory email giving the date and time they would be here - between 8 and 10:00. At 8:30 ON THE SCHEDULED DAY, I was waiting for them to arrive when I received an email that they would not be cleaning our windows because we were out of their service area! I had taken time off work to be at the lake place to let them in to do their work. We had scheduled this weeks ahead of time. Very poor business practice, I would say RUN from this company. Would give 0 stars if we could. Charged more than our estimate. Lifted up our mesh leaf gutter guards to clear the gutters and then didn't put them back down beneath the shingle. When we called back to request they come and put them back under the shingle, they came out and said "there's no way we would've lifted the gutter guards, so we're not going to fix it". When I asked to speak to the owner, he simply said "we usually instruct our guys not to lift the guards, but I can't confirm with the worker who did your gutters because we fired him". He then asked for photos to prove the guards were under the shingles when they were installed, which of course we don't have because we can't get up to our roof (hence why we're paying YOU to clean them!). So now we'll be hiring another company to come out and fix the problem. read more

It was my third time hiring Clean and Clear to wash my windows, and the second time for this house. Athea quoted me at $215 plus tax plus $2 per screen, which was the price when they cleaned my windows last time. Our house is an average 2000 square foot house. Clean and Clear's website states that the prices are $150-300 for the "average" sized house. First, the cleaners came at the wrong time frame. We agreed to a 1-3pm window, but I got a text at 10:10am saying they were on their way. I had a lot of houseplants to move, which is something I had told Athea via email when I booked the cleaning. I was almost done moving them when the cleaners arrived, which was unfortunate, because when the cleaners came, they did a bait and switch on me. They said it would be about double the estimated price to clean the windows. They said that the estimate was based on google maps and that they didn't know we had storm windows (in Minnesota!). I was confused because Clean and Clear had cleaned these exact windows before, so the estimate wasn't based on google maps. It was based on my previous window cleaning. They were asking for double the price (or so I thought) because I have 10 storm windows. So, I had a choice. After an hour of moving 150 plants, I had to agree to the price or waste all that time and work. Also, it was the day before Thanksgiving, which is the perfect opportunity for a bait and switch. I wasn't having guests, but the time it took me to move all the plants made me cave. Had I known it would be more than double, I would have sent them away. The actual cost was $480 plus tax = $518.52. One would think $518 to clean 13 windows and 2 doors would result in a high end cleaning, but that's not what I got. All the windows inside were left with drips under them, both on the windowsills and on the floors. I had to go around, remove the screens, and clean dirty gray water drops in and around all the windows. Also, some of the windows were left streaky. Then, when they were done, I noticed that the top part of one of the blinds was on the floor. I questioned the cleaner about it and he said that it fell. I picked it up and saw that it had shattered. It was just sitting on the floor after having fallen and broken and he wasn't planning on letting me know. Also, they didn't clean one of the windows because of a small crack, but wouldn't give me any discount. They also didn't clean my egress windows. Having looked around at other reviews, I saw that this company does this bait and switch thing and the owner stands behind it, so I paid my bill and am going to spread the word wherever I can to encourage people to use a different window cleaning company. read more

I was very impressed with Clean and Clear right from the start. They were quick to come out and quote, the price was less than the other quotes I received, and I was able to set an appointment time that was great for me. Our office has glass walls and doors and our cubes have glass on them as well, but Keegan and his crew managed to clean our windows (inside and out), and all the glass in the office in about 8 hours. I have an extremely large home with 3 stories and very steep roofs on Lake Minnetonka. I have used multiple gutter cleaning services and none were as good as Clean and Clear in numerous aspects. (1) They were very prompt in responding to my request--almost immediately (2) Where others would decline my home because of the challenges, they viewed my home on the internet and told me they could do it (3) They completed the job quickly and thoroughly (4) communication and customer service was top of the line--better than even big companies who have been in business much longer (5) cost was very reasonable. We had a bit of a misunderstanding as to appointment times, but once the team arrived, they did a great job. I just moved into a new place where I don't think the windows had ever been cleaned. The runners were filthy with black dirt or mold - not sure which. I was doing lots of other cleaning so I hired Clean & Clear to take care of the windows. I have 3 windows that are very tall and they had no problem with those. The crew cleaned until the runners were white again and the windows were sparkling. The service I bought from this company was to clean my gutters. On their website it says that they will do before/after photos as well as do a gutter flush to clean everything out and make sure my downspouts were not clogged up. I did NOT receive any before/after photos. They also did not flush my gutters as advertised. I felt it was way overpriced to simply pull weeds from my gutter. I paid for everything else as well. I contacted Clean and Clear to powerwash and seal my front porch. They assured me that they could powerwash my porch and then seal it 1-2 days later after it had dried. However, their first attempt at powerwashing my porch was incomplete and not to my satisfaction. They had missed spots under the railings and next to the house that were still dirty. They came back two days later to redo the powerwashing with better results. It then took them almost three weeks to come and seal the porch. Their communication was terrible. They would say they were maybe coming out to do the sealant, but then not show up or communicate with me that there had been a delay. They claimed rainy weather was a major factor, which I understand, but the inability to commit to a time or at least contact me if they were not able to come was extremely frustrating. When they finally gave me a solid date and time, it was almost three weeks after the powerwashing. My porch was now dirty and dusty again. They assured me that they would clean it (again!) before they sealed it. The guy who came to do the sealant was unprepared. He had to borrow a broom to sweep the porch clean and an extension cord from us in order to complete his work. If we had not been home, I doubt the work would have been completed. Less than a week after the sealant was applied, it rained and it became apparent that the sealant had not been applied properly. The areas of the porch that were wet turned a milky white, the sealant was bubbling up and peeling away from the porch. I had already paid the invoice, but emailed Clean and Clear with pictures of the issue and asked for a refund. I've contacted them twice with no response to my request. Their silence indicates to me that they accept this as their standard. Do not sink to their standards! Find another company to work with! read more

My exterior windows were "done"- definitely not cleaned- on 10/30/19. I promptly received an invoice on 10/31/19 via email to which I replied that I would pay the invoice when my windows are actually CLEAN & explained that my windows are worse now than before they came- the streaks & smudges are terrible. I received an apology and was told they would make it right and that someone would be back in my area 11/8/19. On 11/12/19 they sent me an email stating that temperatures had been too low but that I was still on their calendar. By 11/23/19 I had not heard from them again and my windows were still streaked. I emailed again and said that temperatures had been pretty warm, were they still coming or should I find someone else. I have never heard back. I had people over for Thanksgiving and had to explain why my windows looked so horrible:/ I guess I do need to find someone else. I have not paid the invoice as I hired them to CLEAN my windows which has never been done. read more

I am a PM of a large apartment complex. Clean and Clear was responsive and cheap. Their crews were polite. That's the good. Here's the bad and the ugly: They did not perform as promised, as they said cleaning screens and tracks were part of the service. The screens and tracks only got done if the resident's pointed out that they missed them. If they couldn't pop the window they skipped it rather than contacting management/maintenance to request help - as instructed. There are enough ripped screens to keep my maintenance crew busy for a day. I have had to contact professional carpet cleaners as their crews placed dirty windows directly on carpet, soiling it. They climbed on furniture rather than moving it, an in one instance broke part of a bed and soiled pillows and bedding. They also missed two units and had to return. Was told the carpet would be cleaned at that time and then was told two stories: 1) that the crew wasn't informed of that and 2) the company had to go purchase a steam cleaner to do the work.
