They perform as advertised. Not quite sure why they never have the 2nd tunnel operating. On busy days/times the line wait can be 20 minutes.

As a former CleanTown customer, I joined here when this ownership took over a few years ago. To their credit, they immediately updated the dryers & added a tire shine machine. Ultimately they updated the entire wash and entry gates. To their detriment, they haven't used the other car wash tunnel, except at the very beginning. Typically one wash tunnel is enough except on those awful slushy winter days when cars need washed again within 30 seconds after being washed. The wait can be 40 minutes even with two lanes widening to three lanes, but ultimately becoming just one at the end. I recently cancelled here due to a snarky employee who I decided wasn't worth dealing with any longer. A few months back I pulled-up & after about 90 seconds with no one appearing, I gave my horn a little toot to get someone's attention - - it can't be EXPRESS if you can't get started. So he came out & immediately let me know how much he didn't appreciate my beep. I saw it as harmless, so I let it go. Then more recently on a drizzly Saturday morning, I saw a car coming out of the wash while driving north on Rt8, so I got over to make the left turn into their complex. Upon arrival at the entrance, once again no one was on- duty to guide cars in. I did see two workers inside the machinery doing maintenance, but neither saw/heard me, so once again I gave a brief horn toot. And who should re-appear but the same guy who was clearly upset to have to leave the repair work to start me in. This time he said "You're welcome for me being here on a rainy day." OK - it wasn't my decision for Clean Express to open that day, nor did I schedule him to work that day or that shift; I was just there to have my car washed as I didn't foresee being able to go later that day + I actually paid for the service; I wasn't requesting a freebie. When I got home, I checked when my billing cycle charged the monthly fee & cancelled a day before. Why pay for grief when there's plenty for free elsewhere & if my patronage isn't appreciated, there are other nearby options. But despite my situation, I'll say that this location is the best of the three I've used. The two others - Mt Nebo & Lower Burrell are newer facilities, but very short; too much happens too fast with virtually no pause between the pre-rinse/wash/wax/drying cycles IMO. And the drying time is much shorter than at Gibsonia, that used the old longer wash tunnels than these two newer built-from-scratch locations. read more

CAR DAMAGED(DEEP SCRATCH) AND THEY WOULD NOT FIX! Don't go here or it will scratch your paint! Tried to work with 2 managers and they kept blowing me off and not returning my phone calls. I stopped into the location 3 TIMES and then they said they would have a district manager call me but of course he never did. They told the insurance company to decline my repair but wouldn't show me the video where they supposedly saw the mark before I entered. My car looks brand new and I know for a fact the mark was not there before I entered the car wash. I always get out after going through car wash and manually use rag to dry it and that is why I know for a fact it happened there. In the end don't play their game they will just lie and say the other manager looked at the video and then you talk to that manager and he just says no the other guy looked at the video. The person who responds to these reviews don't even respond because its all fake, you don't take care of cars that are damaged at your location. Avoid this carwash, best bet is to use touchless carwash. Might not be as clean but at least your car won't be damaged! read more

Back in Dec I asked when they would open up the 2nd lane since everyone wants to wash all the salt and road grime off their cars once the snow starts. The answer I got then was , "its broken now waiting to get it fixed" Its now March--back at the car wash again and same weekend long lines--same only one lane open. I am cancelling my membership today. I join this one because of the two lanes and when the line backs up like it does and still no 2nd lane, sorry time to take my business elsewhere. My husband has a monthly subscription on his company car so we both are very familiar with that program's costs and potential savings over purchasing individual washes. I have tried going there for an occasional wash for my personal car and have been subjected by the same employer to their hard sell to try and get me enrolled in a monthly subscription plan. The first time this happened, I let her go through their options declining each offering and told her a couple of times that we did gave a subscription for our work car but did not want that for this car. She kept going through her required spiel. VERY aggravating!!! The second time, I tried to head off this interaction by telling her (same employee has tattoos on her face) that I was aware of their options but would not be buying any of them and just wanted to buy a car wash. She insisted that she had to go through their options whole selling pitch and would not deter from that. She even made comments along the way like "you don't want to save money?" Which implies my stupidity in not understanding their sales proposition. VERY insulting! I then asked for a manager and eventually a young man came over and I tried to explain how the interaction went and the employee kept interrupting me trying to communicate the interaction. He then just said the employee was doing her job and walked away from me. She also walked away leaving me trapped behind their gate. I honked briefly to try to get someone's attention so I could leave. I was ignored and eventually had to lay in my horn to be able to leave. Absolutely horrible experience! And, their car wash has scratched our work car in the past. There is a new place called Mod Wash less than a mile away. Very different interaction and I would recommend trying them if a car wash is needed. read more

She definitely should not be working in customer service aggressively yelling at people for not buying the pass or for putting our own zip code in on the screen. Just ridiculous. Where to start?! Today everyone wanted a car wash. They have two lanes. Left for average Joes like me. Right for members. Two lanes became three when premium members veered off to the right and their original lane became a second regular lane. THEN members and both regular lanes had to alternate into ONE lane leading to ONE car wash. I asked why the other car wash wasn't open, a worker said management always says they have to sell more premium memberships before they will open up. Once they reach that number management raises the stakes. So all the poor sucks buying premium memberships really aren't getting much for their money. And my car wasn't well cleaned! I always pre clean my jeep before going to clean town so I know there were no scratches on the side. After going through the wash I got out and circled around the jeep. Driver's side was scratched almost the entire side. Went in to get manager to show the damage. He wrote up report with pictures and forwarded to their claims department. After almost two weeks I got a call that there is no proof their car wash was responsible so they denied the claim. Beware using this place. read more

They always do a great job. My car always looks great. I recently had an indoor and outdoor cleaning. My car had not been cleaned in a while. They took their time and did an amazing job. It looked like night and day different. It smelled and looked great. They also had great covid protocols. The benches were separated. You are required to wear masks. read more

Just Plain Awful! What a terrible car wash! I take pride in my car and bought their unlimited wash service. Every time I went through the wash the wheels came out dirty. I complained and they said that's the best their machines can do. Their machines simply do not wash off brake dust. They do not hand dry the cars, and there are water spots everywhere. They have no interior cleaning service, so I have never been able to get my car's interior cleaned - it is very dirty. I am 82 years old and unable to clean the interior myself. This is a waste of money and I have cancelled my unlimited wash plan. Don't waste your money on this car wash - go somewhere else where they know how to clean cars. Ugh! read more

This place is horrible, what a rip off. I paid extra to have the center console cleaned and it wasn't even touched. Dirt inside the car, the rear view mirror not cleaned, the glass over the gauges not wiped, the windshield not wiped. There is loose dirt on the outside of my car, that was never touched, the wheels look like they were never touched. I paid over $30 and I get a better job if I drive through the Get Go car wash, what a joke. I even complained and my car still looks like crap. Horrible customer service. My car was dirtier than they liked so the attendant told me to proceed to the power cash area and then circle back around for a wash. I was ok with that until they it was a $7 extra charge. I understand not wanting to "contaminate" the brushes with dirt but um it's a car wash and that's why you go! I have been a loyal and happy Cleantown customer for over 9 years but NO Longer! I have noticed a change in service over the last few months. I drive over 30 min to have the exterior/interior cleaned only to be told they don't have time to clean the INSIDE of my car! Today for the 3rd and final time I was told they were busy and it would take 45 min- for a basic interior clean. After driving through the wash, I see only 2 INTERIOR cleans in front of me! When I complained to the staff that this has happened too many times to me this summer NEW management came over and was rude and told me to leave. I will NOT go back to Cleantown! I made the trip for the interior clean which I loved and the free coffee, water and gift shop was a fun touch to the business which new owners are eliminating. So sad to see Cleantown go down hill. Hello! I just left this place and my car is still filthy. There is sticky coffee left all over and crumbs everywhere. I'm not sure what they did with my car for the half hour they were supposed to be cleaning it. They must have been just running around with rags pretending to clean. I called and they said they do not refund because my car was still cleaned. Well...it wasn't cleaned so I'm not sure what their idea of interior detailing but it is certainly not what I paid for! With a name like "CleanTown," I was unsure what to expect. I never expected the reasonable price, easy scheduling, and friendly customer service, not to mention the unbelievably BEAUTIFUL scrubbing job of the interior detailing job (read: they cleaned every orifice of the car's interior including air vents, scrubbing of car seats, and polishing everything) that CleanTown accomplished. Ninety-nine pretty dollars later, our car was as good as new. Maybe even better than that. ;) They also have basic, mid-level and of course, the interior detailing job described above; all for reasonable prices. I highly, highly recommend CleanTown. read more

Friendly staff, they do any excellent job, and have a waiting area that is actually comfortable and clean as well. Detail Services: I had a lot of road paint on my car courtesy of PennDot. After several estimates from around the city, Cleantown offered the best rate. They did an excellent job on my car and provided excellent customer service. Car Wash: I've had numerous car washes here and sometimes the level of service/attention is less than others, but largely I'm pleased that they do a better job for the price than all other places I've been to. read more

This place, since it opened years ago, had been filled with love hate feelings for me. Sometimes, they do a fantastic job, more often than not, they do a so so job and don't seem to care. A helpful hint is that they will not do your trunk space if you have a sedan unless requested, but that is automatic with an SUV. Also, the interior seating area was very cold on my last visit, as if the heat wasn't in in December. When checking out, the attendant said that the wash package of "Wash & Go" was not included although the website states it is listed as a "wash package". Spent 40 bucks on my sedan for the ultimate wash. The 40 bucks included the 27ish bucks for the interior/exterior wash and then the cleaning of my weather techs and trunk. My car is done and all of my weather techs have squishy bouger like things on them. I asked the kid what it was and he just stared at me and my fiancé. So I said fine I will get it when I get home. On the way home I notice that the interior is barely cleaned and my mirrors have water spots on them. I get home pop my trunk to put my stuff back in it and the trunk is not clean. This place is an absolute rip off. Take my advice and just wash your vehicle at home. This place is the biggest rip off I have ever visited. "The Works" is close to $30 and they do a half-assed job. The car is never dried completely and I don't think they change out their drying towels as your car has dirty marks from where they dried it. I can go to GetGo and get a better wash for $8.00 and $1.00 for their vacuum. If you want to waste your money this is the place to go to. The current owners don't care. Worst car wash I've ever had. The automatic wash scratched sections of my vehicle (areas around my windshield especially). The wash left dirt and grime on all around my wipers, which is somewhat normal, but also on my hood and all across the plastic frame between the windshield and hood. The "hand dry" at the end of your wash is worthless because only one person was there to do a poor job. I will never use Cleantown USA to wash my vehicle ever again. It's good for a quick wash to get off the road salt. But I would avoid for windows. I don't know what it is, but they use something to clean the windows that not only make them worse, but very difficult to get them really clean afterwords. Your best bet is Invisible Glass and do the windows yourself. read more
