I only gave this a 5 star rating so you would actually read my review. My story trumps all of the other reviews on this site, and I don't care if you don't believe me, I just have an obligation to mankind to warn you of what happened to me when I bought a groupon to have my carpets cleaned by Clean Guy Cleaning Service. I had basically the same experience as everyone else: bought a groupon, couldn't get a good appointment time, settled for a weekday morning and had to miss some work, and waited forever. I got a confirmation call the day before but they had the wrong address and I called their fake number back 30+ times, leaving many messages, trying to get some kind of response, when THEY FINALLY SHOWED UP! But that's not even the most unbelievable part of this whole story. Of course their setup was bogus, they had some beat-up carpet-whacking device from the 1950's. The thing was rusty covered in grime, I had to look away as they drug it into the house. I found out later it was the owner, who's name is Guy, and his accomplice "Linda" (if that is even her real name) who were there and very obviously they were involved in some way because of their constant bickering. It didn't last long though because while Guy was just starting to fire up this ancient carpet-"cleaning" equipment, what do I see but 3 police vehicles whipping around the corner of my quiet neighborhood! They didn't even have their sirens on but everyone on the street was sticking their noses out their doors to see what was going on, and next thing I know Guy is booking it out my back door and over the fence! There was a freaking cop chase going through my house!!!!! Well, they ended up hauling Guy off to jail. The detective told me he couldn't tell me all of the details because of the sensitivity of the case but he asked me a lot of questions about gang/organized crime activity, of which I know nothing of course, and by this time a tv news crew had pulled up and I had to get out of there. What a scene, just to have some 20+ year-old carpets cleaned. I went to Kroger and got a rug doctor. My house isn't even 1500 sq ft lol I think I can do this myself for the trouble. The story ended up on the news that night. I think Guy might still be incarcerated, I haven't looked it up at all. Groupon, will you please do background checks on these "businesses" you promote? Once again this idiot didn't show up or call me to let me know if he was coming or not. All I wanted to do was get some carpets cleaned at my place in Columbus, but apparently that's too hard for this company. I have notified Amazon Local to let me know not to do business with this company. If I didn't have to at least pick one star, this company would get a zero. read more

Well, I just had a horrible experience with Clean Guy Cleaning Services, LLC in Columbus Ohio. I had ordered a groupon for the cleaning of 3 areas for $49. Once I ordered it and went to schedule an appointment, the earliest I could schedule was over 1 month later!.. I had to schedule for the Friday after Thanksgiving. We have 2 kids, a 2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old, so there are a lot of toys in the house. In order to get the house ready for my appointment the day after Thanksgiving I had to spend all day Thanksgiving cleaning the house and getting it ready for them to come on that Friday after Thanksgiving. The rest of my family were out of town 2 hours away, so I spent Thanksgiving away from my family to get the house ready. So Friday rolls around and I am waiting for them to come. I got a phone confirmation the day before and an email confirmation of the appointment. I was scheduled for between 1pm and 3pm. So after waiting and waiting, 3pm finally comes around and still no Clean Guy Cleaning Services. So I call them up to see what the delay was, and all I got was a voicemail. They have an emergency #, so I called that, and I only got a voicemail. I kept calling and calling and all I got was a voicemail. So I left voicemails at several locations but nobody ever called me back. Finally, Monday rolls around and I call to see what happened, and I finally got an answer. I told them what happened and they said they would try to figure out what happened and get me scheduled for today or tomorrow.. I told them I had to get this done by Wednesday morning because that is when the family was going to be back in town. So I thought things were going to be ok, but then I finally got a call from the owner of Clean Guy Cleaning Services, LLC, Guy Walker. Basically his explanation was there shouldn't have been any appointments scheduled for that Friday because of the Thanksgiving Holiday, that it wasn't his fault and the best he could do is re-schedule me for Thursday night because he was booked over the next 3 days.. I told him that would not work. I explained to him that I lost my Thanksgiving with my family to get the house ready for them on Friday and my family was coming back on Wednesday so it had to be done by then. He didn't seem to care and refused to come clean my carpets prior to Thursday. I find this level of service unacceptable for a company and because of this I would highly recommend anybody thinking about using Clean Guy Cleaning Services, LLC to find a different company. Any company that screws up as bad as they did should be jumping head over heals to try to fix it. I am very disappointed with Clean Guy Cleaning Services, LLC and the way the owner Guy Walker handled it. read more

You are insane if you use this place. I bought a Living social deal and setup the appt in advance. Like the other reviews say, I got a confirmation call the day before. The day of the appointment, I left work early for the appointment, and the person never showed! I left 2 VMs on an automated mailbox, but no call back. Today it is 3 days later and I have yet to receive a return phone call. No idea what happened. I'm currently working to get my money back. Not worth a reschedule or whatever their excuse is. I really hope that groupon, living social or anyone else does not put out a deal for this place anymore. I mean, look at the reviews people! read more

Wish I would have researched this company and read these reviews before purchasing my amazon local deal. I have left at least 4 messages to schedule an appointment and haven't had a response. I will not be calling again but will now try to get my money back. If anyone has been successful with getting their money back from a groupon etc. please let me know what you did to get it back. This guy seems like a joke. We had an 11-1 window but he didn't show. His schedulers can't get a hold of him and he's made no attempt to contact us. I also bought because it was on Amazon Local. I have no clue how he's still in business. read more

We had a 8- 10 am window yesterday. No show, no call. My wife finally got a hold on someone around 11:30. The owner said his schedule was open in the afternoon and he would be here at 3:00 pm. No show, no call again. Unbelievable!! I'm not sure how they stay in business, but I will never use them again. read more

I had the same experience yesterday. Never showed up and left 2 voice mail message and no one has bothered to call me back. Tried calling them today and now their mail box is full. I too used groupon and will now have to work on getting reimbursed. I wonder if they are even in business??? read more
