Had a VERY unpleasant experience at this business. Came here to return quite a few cans, as soon as i even walked through the door, the young man behind the counter was not welcoming at all and in fact rather rude and had an attitude problem stating that they close soon. In the middle of me unloading my cans into the machine he disables the machine and kicks me out saying we're closed, talking aggressively being an asshole for no reason. I never came off ignorant or disrespectful. I advise people to stay away from a business who VERY POORLY treats the customers willing to support them. STAY AWAY, and if the owners read this, I hope this employee has a short stay because I hope nobody else is treated that way. read more

I went to return a couple bags of bottles. I walked in and saw one machine down (boxes stacked on it) & the other one running with NOTHING in it. I asked the employee, is this machine being used, he snapped back, Yes it's being used with a pissed off look on his face! I then asked is the other machine with the boxes stacked on top of it working, he again snapped very rudely, NO with the same pissed off look! I've been going to this recycling center since it opened and never had an issue until I had the misfortune of encountering this employee and his BAD attitude. If you don't like your job, get another one. Don't subject patrons to your attitude because you're miserable. I'll be taking my recycling to another center from now on. read more

Super impressive place. Bring your bottles and use one of the 4 machines they have to count them. The machines are smart enough to know what bottles aren't actually recyclable for money. Then you take the piece of paper that you get and you bring it to the counter where they cash you out. They will even give you a huge bag for your bottles at home. Super easy parking. A new recycling redemption center located on Elmwood Ave back near Hyatt's. This is a self service redemption center where you can bring your plastic, glass bottles and cans for NYS redemption. Walking in you will see bright signage and wide open space. Machines are built into the walls and and spaced along the left side and back wall. The process is easy enough, for the machine we used you simply drop all of your items into the bin that will pull them them on the conveyer, sort and tally your totally. Keep and eye to the right of the machine where rejected bottles and cans will come out. Before stopping the machine by pressing the red button you may want to drop them back in, in case of a bad scan. Overall this is an easy, user-friendly experience with people on-site to add in questions, usage and redemption and because it is so new it's not sticky! read more

It should be renamed Dirty Loop Recycling. The place is filthy and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. All of the machines are out of order except one. The one machine that works kept breaking down so there was a lot of down time waiting for an operator to fix it. The man behind the counter was rude. Some of my bottles were not accepted by the machine even though they clearly are listed as NY 5 cent deposit. Instead of offering to give them back so I can bring them somewhere else, he simply threw them out when my back was turned. I asked when the manager will be in and he stated that he was the manager and the owner. read more

I've been going to this place since it open, Overall I've been satisfied. Always pleasant staff until lately. Staff refused to accept one of my bottles, when I ask why, he stated "you didn't get it from us". Huh? I thought this was a redemption center. He (the staff) aggressively stated "why should I pay you when you didn't get it from us"? Okay, for a nickel, I can go elsewhere. 2nd visit, he rudely stated "this is a Canadian can". I love coming to this place! Clean Loop Recycling is as the name suggests, clean, fast, and efficient. I dropped off over 500 cans and was out with cash about 7 minutes later. It's satisfying to just dump all your bottles and cans and watch them get sorted instead of manually inputting them into a machine like at a Tops or Wegmans. Terrible place to take back bottles. When I walk in the usual conveyer that I usually use is broke and there's a customer waiting for it to get fixed. I see a machine open so I start putting my bottles and cans in there when I finally get all my bottles in the idiot working there tells me "It's not working, it's black" whatever that means. Why not close the door on the machine and place an out of order sign genius? Ignore this place at all costs, I knew I should have stopped going here after last time I tried taking my bottles back and a lady in a car stopped me before I got to the door and told me they are closed for lunch lol read more

This is the only place to recycle your bottles and cans. They have specialized machines that consume your containers in bulk so you don't need to add them one by one. It's actually fun to watch you glass, plastic, and aluminum all march up the conveyer belt together in an integrated fashion and even more fun to watch your cash balance continue to grow on the screen. Best of all, when you're all done they give you an extra cent for each redemption. That's 6 cents each! Can't beat it. read more

I've raved about this place to people, no more standing in long lines, no more sorting just cool advanced machines where you dump it all and it does the work for you. Well I went in today and asked for one of their handy recycling loop bags as my plastic where ripping and I still had more to bring in. The guy in a gruff who seemed like he didn't want to be there said they had no more. Minutes later a woman not of color walks in and ask for one and it was handed to her. I am so happy to have found this can recycle place. I found out about it through a mailer I got at home. If you have this mailer make sure to bring it in for their really nice big recycle bag. The entrance was a bit hard to find but I found it. It is set back from the road by Hyatt's on Elmwood. When walking in it didn't have that old beer smell the other can returns places have. I couldn't get over how clean this place was. It was so quick and easy. The machines are huge and can handle up to 100,00 cans and bottles a day. It was very impressive when it comes to bottle returns. This place is great! read more

My husband and I waited.... 6 months to actually get it up to return our cans and bottles. Needless to say we had a laughable amount of returns to make. What started as a day of aggravation - loading up the car, driving to grocery store on a Sunday, finding the return area MOBBED, loading the car back up, googling for a place open for us to just drop off - ended up being a HUGE game changer for us. Clean Loop was not only clean, but had a ridiculously fast self-serve system (seriously, what would have taken 30 minutes at the grocery store took 5 - you just dump everything into a shoot and you're done!), kind people working, and was -duh- SUPER clean inside!! This place was so nice and clean when it first opened. Now it's so disgusting. It smells of spoiled food and EVERYTHING it sticky. I've gone in there at different times and it's still the same disgusting place. The workers are too busy on their phone to care about the place. On two separate occasions I was the only one in there. The worker could have changed out the trash and wiped down the machines.. I've decided to not go there and I've heard the same complaints. I usually go to Wegmans for can & bottle returns, but it was closed so I found Clean Loop Recycling on Google and was very impressed with all the reviews. Unfortunately, I tried going and the place was completely closed. I double checked the listed hours and it is supposed to be open until 6pm. It looked really nice and clean inside like everyone was writing in the reviews, but I was disappointed that it wasn't open even though it didn't say anywhere on social media, the website, or Google that it was closed.
