A couple of days before the scheduled date, I phoned to confirm the basics. We agreed on an arrival time, and the call was both professional and polite. On the day of the cleaning, a team of four arrived exactly as agreed. After a quick walkthrough, they got to work. Over the next three hours, they cleaned places I would never have even considered. My apartment had a lot of dust, and now there is none. This was, without question, the most expensive cleaning service I have ever used. I have hired cleaners in San Francisco, Vancouver BC, and Singapore, and for similar services the cost was roughly half. The total billed was $605, which included a discount I believe covered oven cleaning, an item I had been told would be extra beyond the hourly rate of $55 per cleaner. The overall cost was not a surprise, as we had discussed the pricing beforehand. I expected the total to be around $600, and it was. After the cleaning was complete, the invoice was sent via email, and tipping can be added at that time. That said, I am very pleased with the results. Everywhere I look is spotless. I wasn't sure exactly how much work I needed or how long it would take, but Bill was very understanding. What was thought to be a few hours of work turned out to be all Saturday. He was at my apartment from 10 AM till 8 at night. There were several times where I needed items from Home Depot and Ace Hardware store and he left and picked them all up for me. He is a phenomenal handyman. He mounted my 47" Flat screen tv up on the wall. He put 15 different shelves . He created a pot rack , by using material he purchased from the hardware store. He created a system to store and display all of my mugs in my kitchen . I have a studio apartment and he helped design a closet system that doubled my space. Bill carried up all of my shelves and some furniture up two levels of stairs for me too . Bill was kind and I felt safe and happy to have him in my home. He was extremely meticulous, paid close attention to every detail and I swear my apartment was spotless when he left. He cleaned and mopped all of the dust left from the walls and helped take the garbage and boxes downstairs for me. The second time I hired Maid in heaven Shonda came to clean the apartment. and Bill came to do a few more shelves. The previous week I made homemade potpourri and boiled it on the stove which caused there to be many stains that were left on my ceiling and walls. When they were done cleaning the walls were spotless the ceiling was bright and white. Everything was perfect. All of my items were dusted and handled with such care. They are kind and trustworthy people and I am so glad I found them!!! I would recommend them for any kind of handyman help you may need in your home and fantastic cleaning service. We are under going several severe changes in the house as my husband is newly in a wheelchair. The quote for the initial clean was up to $300 for the whole house. As it turned out the only areas cleaned were the two bathrooms (one of which only the sink and toilet are used very little). Our master bath is cleaned daily if not more due to our current health circumstances. The kitchen/Living room in which there is hardly any furniture right now and our master bedroom which has a tiled floor our bed and one bureau. I had fried some food the night before so the stove top was dirty with spray or splashes. I personally have all the cleaning tools and yet it took the lady over two hours to do the stove top. Her daughter took over 3 hours to do bathrooms. Rooms untouched were two bedrooms, an office, the dining room and the laundry room. They billed me for 6 hours plus for their efforts. Personally I find that ludicrous and unethical. When I questioned the billing time, the CEO, Cooper informed me they felt it was warranted time for the rooms they did. I think it is a sham. I am nearing 70 years of age and as a business owner have employed many cleaners throughout the years. I would never recommend anyone or company that practices "scalping". Nor would I ever use them again.
