Later that…read moremonth, I did not believe we needed assistance from the Visiting Angels late in the evening, but that changed. One evening, Kathy fell and broke her arm right above her shoulder. She was seen in the emergency room and later she was admitted to a rehabilitation center for physical and occupational therapy. During her first night in the rehab center, she experienced severe delirium, and the staff asked whether I could return to sit with her, even though I had just left a few hours earlier. I called Visiting Angels at 7:00 p.m., and they arranged overnight support for her that same evening. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and compassion gave me peace of mind during a extremely stressful time. Every caregiver they send is well-trained, respectful, and helpful, and the office staff is always pleasant, organized, and easy to reach. Since Kathy returned home , the scheduling has been reliable, the pricing has been reasonable, and the quality of care has been excellent. I am very grateful for the support Visiting Angels has provided to Kathy and our family, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of dependable in-home care. Over the last six months, Kathy continues to improve, but I have become dependent upon Visiting Angels as I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. I walked out after 10 days of physical therapy & occupational therapy without any assistance. I assume it's a protection of privacy issue, but it's a shame because the place is impressive. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The food is very good. They offer quite a few options and the portions are plentiful. Literally, every single person my mother and I encountered were wonderful. The nurses, doctors, therapists, transporters........Every one of them was professional, patient and cheerful. Impressive hiring standards!! The "gym", where they do all the physical and occupational therapy is huge. They have so many people in there at one time yet it is very organized. They had tables with groups doing critical thinking activities. Groups doing physical exercises and also lots of one on one physical therapy. Again, I was impressed with the level of patience and kindness these therapists showed their patients. The doctors and nurses were so patient explaining the diagnosis, prognosis and plan to rehabilitate. I've heard horror stories about rehab centers and I personally have dreaded ever having to go. After seeing how my mother, and all the other patients, were treated I would recommend this place to everyone. Bottom Line: Encompass does a great job of rehabilitation in a pleasant environment.

The staff made her birthday very special, celebrating with cake and ice cream, as well as picking up a special treat at the bakery. This is just one example of how wonderful the TT experience has been. Mom was very active and social before she needed assistance. At TT, she continues to function in a similar manner. Recently she was able to host a luncheon at TT for her church sewing group. The staff was wonderful, and the guests appreciated such a lovely facility and wonderful meal. I live out of state and I have peace of mind in knowing that mom is in good hands.

I am now in the recovery field myself just got my foot in the door as a recovery coach in the commonwealth of Massachusetts and I'm thankful my path in life brought me to them

She was in the memory care unit and never smelled when I saw her. She was gaining her weight back and was beginning to interact again after a considerable downturn at a horrible place in Jacksonville Florida landed her in the hospital. He had been in and out of intensive care while being bedridden in a different rehab and skilled nursing facility. After many months in that facility he had recovered enough to eat and swallow soft food but he was still unable to walk. Then he came to Lynmoore, just before Christmas in 2023. My wife and I live in California, so we can't visit him in Florida that often, but we did visit for a few days in June, 2024. What a difference! We walked in one day just after his physical therapy session ended; he was walking back to his room with the therapist by his side, not in his wheelchair! That never happened before. This alone would rate five stars, all gold, but there is more. During our visit we interacted with many people: the nurses, the therapists, the community engagement director, the records office, the business office, even the dining hall staff. Everyone was friendly and professional. Residents coming and going were greeted by name. The buildings were clean and well maintained. The food was good; I ordered the same thing that my brother had when we ate together in the dining room.  The affiliated home healthcare and pharmacy services are excellent; I continue to interact with them. However, there is even more to the story. My brother was in such bad shape when he first came to Lynmoore that, during our June visit, a couple of staff members admitted to me that they didn't think he would last in assisted living; he was that bad off. I truly believe he was admitted and flourished because the Wellness Director believed in him, motivated him from the very beginning, and everyone took good care of him around the clock.
