The staff are lovely and friendly and it is very central to the town. They have always been helpful if I had ever had a problem with my eyes. I went for a test a few months ago when I got told I needed glasses - I had a quick look around and the prices amazed me for anthing other than a pair of nasty NHS ones I was looking at paying above £150. At that point I decided to take my prescription and leave. I would recommend this opticians if you only want sight checks with them, I wouldn't recommend them for getting glasses from.

After changing my schedule to attend and a half hour drive, Vision Express said that they had not "confirmed" the appointment; neither had they informed me that I did not have the slot. So they have taken a page from the airlines and now double book people so that they are not inconvenienced with a cancellation. Most time slots are not available, I assume because they are already double booked. My mistake thinking an open slot was an "open slot" -- no where does it say that it's a "Waiting List", but every VE employee will explain it as such, even customer service. At the end of their email, they state: "We look forward to seeing you." Never again.

TINY mens section, TINY electrical section. They do have an opticians and a chemist though which is a plus. Although the queues can be absolutely awul for the chemist in here. When I went in there yesterday, something scanned at 1p. In all other shops the prie tag has been 1p and have let me have it as they are discontinuing his product. Bedford Boots felt the need to make up an elaborate lie about it being a free product with another product so I couldn't have it. Oh well! There is a new Boots at the Interchange in Kempston which is much better!!
