I visited last year for my first full-length eye-test, and the Optician, a very gentle and entertaining chap, really did a fantastic job. He went into great detail to explain various conditions to me, not just the symptoms but the scientific causes, and seemed to enjoy sharing information. The price was good, and the service was excellent.

They even helped me no problem when I wanted to order my contacts in the US (they had to send my prescription) rather than through them because it was cheaper. When I broke said expensive frames (that colour was sadly discontinued), they offered to order two pairs of the same frames in different colours so I could try them out. Sure, you can get inexpensive glasses elsewhere, but this is a small, privately owned optometrist that will really take care of your vision... stylishly!

Now I have to pay again for new glasses, and the second pair I bought is wasted You can investigate this with the Bedford branch to see what happened with me. The manager said that you should come, we will do your eye test again and we we dont charge you. But when I went, my eye test wasn not done because they said there is no need to do it again and they also said they wont charge me.

Not only did I manage to get 2 pairs of nice glasses for £100, they also had them ready in time for my driving test which was a godsend as otherwise I would've failed! I have had the glasses a year now and they have lasted well and nothing has gone wrong! I can't praise Specsavers enough.
