Took my two children there and they had a good time fishing. Definitely needs some upkeep and updates on the property. Owner was very nice.

Even though we got there super early, because of the holiday, there was a HUGE line getting into Devils Fork Park with the park rangers checking in with every vehicle - the rangers were turning away everyone without a parking reservation. I called Eclectic Sun and the nice lady on the phone said to show them our kayak reservation confirmation and that she would have a parking spot saved for us. Because we were in line for 1+ hours, we didn't get in until way after our reservation time but everyone was super nice and adjusted the time for us. The guys at the life jacket rental and down by the water helping people get in and out of their kayaks were also all very nice. All kayaks they had seemed to be in great shape, we had no problem using ours. Once you're out in the water, you can just dock it at any beach area you find around the lake (even though it was a busy day at the lake, there are so many beaches, you can easily find an empty one). We will definitely come back and rent one out again!

Affordable and bring your bathing suits if you want to swim! Sidenote: parking is convenient if your their early and there's a separate charge for that. $8 per person! Sidenote 2: the water is a beautiful turquoise.... Close to the color of the water in the Caribbean!

Spending time along the Reedy River in Greenville is such a special experience. There are several…read morebeautiful spots to sit and relax, especially near the Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville, and the bridge is a wonderful place to stroll while enjoying the soothing sound of the river and waterfall. What makes it even more meaningful is the history behind it. Beginning in the late 1700s, water-powered industries clustered along the Reedy River, including trading posts, grist and corn mills, a sawmill, an ironworks, the Gower, Cox and Markley Coach Factory, a paper-making factory, and an armory. A century later, textile and apparel mills were established along its banks. Unfortunately, the mills discharged waste and excess dyes into the river, and the Reedy began to suffer from the spoils of progress. By the mid-20th century, downtown Greenville's stretch of the river was so severely polluted by upstream textile mills that the once pristine and popular falls became desolate and unsafe. Seeing how beautiful and vibrant the area is today makes you truly appreciate the restoration and revitalization efforts. It's peaceful, scenic, and rich with history -- definitely a must-visit when you're in Greenville. Cheers!

If you were at the boat show this weekend and thinking about purchasing a boat or watercraft, you…read morereally need to avoid this place like the plague! If I could give zero stars I would... DO NOT PURCHASE A BOAT FROM THESE FOLKS!... They will butter you up just to get your money, then hang you out to dry... After owning 3 previous boats I purchased a brand new 2023 Yamaha 195S from these guys because they could not provide a 21-23 foot model at the time, which was fine... Scott Ryerson did a fantastic job and is a great person for answering detailed questions. Nothing but praise for him, as well as Amanda that is behind the service desk. They are the only two good people at that establishment. Scott Maxfield (service advisor) is just a liar, plain and simple. He told me things that were not true, and his own family working as a tech even corrected his statements to me. He then lied to my face when some minor issues needed to be corrected... I purchased the boat in January of 2023, but it took until July for them to get me an anchor to fit my hull. Minor rubber trim around the glass windshield was cut way too short. Maxfield blamed Yamaha when it was his own staff that cut it incorrectly. Chris Abrams (parts/warranty) is just a fat obnoxious jerk. Probably couldn't bend over to pick up a donut, but will always avoid your calls and tell you why you are wrong and why they will not help you... Actually, nobody at this business will answer your calls after you give them your money... But Abrams intentionally ignored a warranty issue I had with blisters on my Yamaha hull for over a month, then neglected to inform me once Yamaha approved the repair since it had to be completed at a different location... I had to take matters into my own hands and contact Yamaha directly because the folks in Greenville MarineMax didn't care enough to do so... I had to do all the leg work to get my boat repaired while the idiots in Greenville couldn't be bothered with helping me. When I tried to contact the manager he refused to return or even answer my calls, which is a microcosm of the problems at this location. I finally sold my boat because they were the only service provider for Yamaha jet boats in this area. And I just didn't want to do business with these idiots any longer... They say that the best 2 days are when you purchase a boat, and then when you sell it... I disagree, because I always want a quality craft for water use... But it really was a great day once I knew I didn't have to deal with these folks any longer... I honestly don't know how they are still in business. ... I had read poor reviews of this place but thought it was just a few disgruntled folks. Unfortunately I found out the hard way that the poor reviews were all spot-on in the description of this ill-managed location. You'll find me motoring around Lake Hartwell, and stopping in Portman Marina as well as Deep Water Marina... I will be loudly proclaiming just how crappy the MarineMax Greenville operation is, and giving ample examples as to why to avoid them. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Consider yourself warned... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE FOLKS!

They did not follow proper etiquette by announcing their arrival or ringing a bell. They even passed on both sides of me and my little dog almost hitting us within inches! Then laughed! How RUDE! If you run or bike, this is the trail you want! This section is smack in the middle of downtown Greenville. It's very much similar to the Beltline and Silver Comet Trail in Atlanta. If you start from this section and head away from the city, you'll eventually get to parts of the trail where you don't have to worry about cars. Pros: - there's a children's park at this section - rubberized side section of the trail for 1/3 of a mile - great scenery (runs beside a creek, hits a big green space area, has some shops right off the trail about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile down heading away from city) - fairly flat - wide enough for runners and cyclists Cons: - no bathrooms (the green space further down has a bathroom but it's not opened yet) - first 2 miles do hit intersections where you'll need to be cognizant of cars - no quarter mile markers or markers in general Overall, it's the perfect spot to get most types of runs in (long, tempo, easy). Would highly recommend!
