After being involved in a car accident that left me with lateral whiplash in 1991, I was diagnosed with two bulging discs in my thoracic spine and two herniated discs + two bulging discs in my cervical spine, this action was like a big sprain on the ligaments and muscles along my spine. A friend suggested that I seek Chiropractic care (best advice I've ever received), and the Chiropractor that I saw at the time told me that as long as I kept getting adjustments and took care of my spine that I would be just fine. I also had a neurologist tell me that I would have to have neck surgery within 10 years, because it would get to the point that I would be in too much pain. I moved to Texas around six years ago and found Dr. Sharla shortly after that; I am an X-Ray tech, and am always have to push or pull stretchers and wheelchairs, as well as having to lift or move patients on or off exam tables. I first came here (in late 2009)with a headache that had been persistent for a week, I had also been having night sweats and chills for several weeks. Other than that I had no other symptoms except back pain from a previous injury. I went in to see Dr Sharla and she adjusted me that day. The headache immediately lessened and within a few hours it was totally gone. My other symptoms resolved within three adjustments. After a few months I was able to stand for long periods of time without back pain (something I had been unable to do since I hurt my back jan 2009). Normally as a fresh, new patient I would be hesitant to review so soon, but after four visits to Dr. Sharla I am highly hopeful for a future success story. I have had lower back problems for as long as I can remember. After an epidural injection in 1961, the pain intensified. I was given pain meds and muscle relaxers.
