The entire facility is closed for the season. Huh?!? It's southern Missouri...what makes an entire store and cafe close 'for the season'? They sell everything you'd need to use the lake...bait, groceries, supplies, food, propane... but, they're closed. Just adds to the shambles of the entire Piedmont lake community. All lodging ratings are concerning (also difficult to tell who is still in business or not), most restaurants were not open on a Saturday evening (Sonic and Tequilas Mexican Restaurant were hopping, though), signage to help get around the community and lake are 'iffy', at best, and it was a challenge to decipher what was a legit business from a shuttered business from a run-down storage shed. If UFOs did ever visit this area, I understand why they left so quickly. read more

We love the Clearwater Lake Store. Get gas, get worms and bait, fishing gear ,the necessities if your camping at the Lake literally like 1,ooo yards away. Excellent food,daily specials,and a neat section to find goodies. They keep a poison ivy soap that is excellent! Indoor seating and outdoor on the deck. Need a glass of wine a bottle or any alcohol. The waitresses and owners are just great. Service is really good and fast. Friday nights is fish special, brown beans hush puppies, pickled green tomatoes,French fries. You can get an all you can eat or a 3 piece i think. Large pieces. It's a great place to sit and visit. read more

I very seldom leave a five star review. But my wife and I had dinner at the Clearwater café and Store in Piedmont Missouri. We're camping for the weekend and decided to come here for dinner. Danielle, the waitress was amazing. Offered fantastic suggestions and everything was absolutely delicious. I had to fish with the slaw and french fries, my wife had the black river burger with the Clearwater caviar and the black river fries. Everything was absolutely delicious and hot. My wife also did a little shopping at the store next-door and they were very attentive and helpful. Would absolutely frequent this place again. read more

Nice, quaint spot on way from Piedmont to Clearwater Lake. Good lunch offerings, the onion rings were especially good. Also, those of us who had fries or rings, they were "clean" - meaning the fryers had clean oils in them. Friendly staff, generous portions. Good burgers! read more

Food in the Cafe was amazing! The service is prompt and staff is very friendly. Pulled pork for me and the mushroom burger for the missus, could not be happier :))) Patio is great and they have complimentary Wi-Fi too. The store is well equipped and has gas too. Check them out if you are ever in the vicinity. read more
