Many years visiting this pancake house and this most recent visit still rings true. Food was faster to the table. The orders were correctly delivered and the hostesses were on top of their work and service and quality was still at the top of the scale. I was watching and taking notice. My husband and I stopped for a late afternoon lunch. I had the catfish dinner with baked potato. The catfish & delicious hushpuppies were perfectly fried with awesome crunch, but not overcooked. The hushpuppies were some of the best I've ever eaten. My husband had the hamburger steak which was ground sirloin. He thought it was pretty tasty with the brown gravy. Iced tea was excellent. Sadly we were too full for dessert, but looked like they had several cheesecakes. Maybe another trip. read more

The food was amazing. It was the best bacon cheeseburger I have had in ages. The appetizers were delicious. Our waitress, Diane, was absolutely amazing. We didn't wait for a refill, etc. She was on top of it all. My kids absolutely loved her! We didn't have room for dessert, but everything looked and smelled delicious! It was a very family oriented atmosphere. There was even a little band of the sweetest senior citizens playing music and singing in the side room. It was very heartwarming to watch and listen to them sing old country music songs. Such a great experience! read more

If I could give a lesser rating I would. Don't go here unless you have time to waste and don't care about quality. The waitress has the personality of a board. Unfortunately choices of eating establishments in the area are few and far in between. First time I went, I wasted twenty minutes for my food, it was fair. Second time I went for breakfast it took thirty minutes, the food was fair. Don't get the bologna, puke. Third time, last time cause my job is finished, after 45 minutes, I left. Did I mention the waitress has the personality of a board? Save yourself the headache and go to McDonald's or drive to poplar bluff. I usually like giving places a chance or two. I give this place zero stars. The inside decor is straight out of Gunsmoke, the old tv series, gross. No wonder they switched locations, the previous town probably ran them off. After waiting 45 minutes for our food I found a long black hair in my mushroom and Swiss burger before I had even touched the burger. Called the waitress over who brought her "manager" over and she wanted to make me another burger. Well the outside is a little rough and without Yelp we might have passed it by. Even the sign on door to check your attitude didn't stop me. The breakfast was delicious. Log cabin special consisted of 2 eggs, choice meat, hash browns or fried potatoes and 2 biscuits with gravy. $8.99. Not sure what women at next table had but I could over hear them raving about their meal as well. Only 4 stars because slight concern they could care less about covid other than sign posted to say if your sick don't come in. Stopped in on the way home from camping in Eminence. Pulling a 39' 5th wheel we had plenty of space to pull through. Not overly busy for a Sunday morning. Breakfast was hot and delicious! Don't waste your time stopping for it is a waste of time to eat here. Stopped because of the reviews. I got the patty melt. The burger was processed ( probably frozen) and the onions were not caramelized as said or the menu. My wife had a hot dog that was ordered well done but wasn't. Our friend ordered the white bean soup that had no taste. The tea was something you couldn't describe. Just plan terrible. We had to stop at McDonald's down the road for some drinkable tea. A little hole in the wall is right, but oh my goodness best breakfast I've had in all my 61 years! Hubby and I shared the western omelette (absolutely huge, Hashbrowns and one large pancake. YUMMMY -- I had veg beef soup - fresh tasting, not overly salted as soup could be - definitely homemade - i wasn't feeling to well so this was JUST RIGHT ! my sister had hamburg steak with mashed potatoes and she was impressed with the freshness and homemade flavor -- then i just had to try homemade blackberry cobbler-- fresh fressh fressh tasting -- no overly sugary - what a nice surprise!! I had to just eat slowly to savor the mix of flavors!!! i almost had it again for breakfast -- we enjoyed supper so much we had breakfast there in the morning - again - freshness, no aftertaste of chemicals or preservatives -(that seems to happen so many places when you go out to eat) -- and yes the coffee was GOOOD !! we'd definitely go there again-- oh yes, prices great too! Great Place! I'm and Executive Chef in Florida and always love my lunches there when i visit. My mother lives in Williamsville and I live in Florida. Its definitely a must stop at least a few times for excellent food, friendly atmosphere, great service. Homemade Pastry turnovers are amazing, catfish dinner is to die for, burgers are great, and the fried chicken is the closest to Granny Hendrsons Ive ever had.
