After calling their 833 number and working through the call director, I finally got connected to new patient services. It was extremely difficult to understand the representative due to their limited English capability. After providing preliminary information, they had to go off the line to apparently consult with someone. He came back on the line and got a little more information and off he went again. He then came back and said that I couldn't get an EMG scheduled unless I got discharged from my current pain management provider. Any consideration I had of switching to them has now gone out the window with such poor representatives. When I questioned he why I had to be discharged from my current provider to have an EMG done, off he went for a couple more minutes. He came back on the line to tell me that he could continue adding me to the system. He asked for address which was provided and he said that he had to put it into the system, and off he went again! After he came back I told him that I had more than one insurance plan and, you guessed it, off he went again, and I'm back to the awful techno music on hold. He apparently comes back again because the techno music stops and the next thing I know is that I have been disconnected. If this is the way that they train their administrative staff, I want nothing to do with them since they obviously have no quality control or concern about the impression they are giving to potential new patients. There aren't a lot of pain management choices in this area, but anything is going to be far better than dealing with this practice. Forewarned is forearmed! read more

I was referred to this location because it was the closest to me. I filled out multiple forms , online and in person, indicating where I had chronic pain. Every doctor I saw said I had fibromyalgia and at the end of 2021 to through all of 2022, I have lived with chronic pain. I will give the nurse practitioner here credit for recommending physical therapy and for a new medication. But who fills out tons of the same paperwork to be told you can only pick ONE area to complain about? So, I picked my back, she said it was my posture. Told me I needed an X-Ray and that I would get a back brace. i got the X-Ray, my spine is fine. I didn't get a back brace, I was mailed a medical brace and was warned by family medical professionals NOT to put that on and then doctors unless told by an orthopedic surgeon. I got a huge neck brace, yet that's where I don't have chronic pain! How would she know? She only focuses on one thing. Lidocaine patches? Well, I'm sure they're helpful if you can lift your hands over your head, but I can't. She's not patient friendly, she pushes her side business of medical marijuana, and she yells at the office staff in front of patients. I've gotten worse, not better since I first saw her this past fall. She'd know this if she didn't focus on 1 thing. So, I listened to my gut and the advice of others- I found someone else. I shouldn't be overlooked as someone with a back injury when I have pain all over and am falling down. That's not quality care. Please do NOT go to this location, or the nurse practitioner named Shauna. Go elsewhere! Clearway Pain Solutions is a big company, frankly I'd go to the CEO on someone like her. Had a 9:00 AM appointment and was told to arrive at 8:20. Due to traffic, we walked in the door at 8:26, and was immediately told we would have to reschedule and could not be seen that day because we were late. Had I read all these other one star reviews prior to going I probably would have never even scheduled. The lady at the front desk was curt, rude, and unprofessional. read more

I could not agree more with the negative comments below. This place is awful and you end up worse off. Zero physical pain relief and only added stress. If you want to be treated poorly, this is the place for you. Repetitive, unnecessary, never-ending questions, discourteous/unprofessional staff, and condescending Doctor. The staff at CPS Leonardtown has been fantastic! Not only have they been treating me for lower back pain but recently Shonna noticed i didn't look myself and asked me if i was getting headaches. I had recently been getting migraines and they were getting worse. I told her my story and she put me in for botox and that day gave me a Nurtec that made my migraine disappear. She fought the drug insurance to get me my meds and continued to provide samples until i was able to get the med on my own. She also sent me for an MRI which just showed multiple levels of disc degeneration and nerve impingment. I would just continue to be in pain if it weren't for Shonna and the team at CPS Leonardtown. read more

I had an appointment for 1:00 pm and was sent a confirmation for 12:20pm and 1:00 pm. I call the main line and ask why I have two confirmations and they said because I needed to be there 40 minutes early. I had already did the pre check in online and only had to sign one form when I arrived. It is now 1:30 pm and I walk up to front desk and they are all eating lunch. I ask how much longer will my wait be due to having been at the office over an hour and haven't even been seen. The lady continued to eat her lunch and told me she didn't know. Turn and burn. Absolutely zero compassion or empathy. Like you are in health care. If you don't like people you should get another job. Zero pain relief and ridiculous protocols. Wanting to schedule me for more appointments to talk about stuff we already discussed just to bill me more and literally do nothing. Absolutely worst patient care I have ever experienced. I have been going to the Leonardtown office since I was referred by my primary care doctor a few years ago. I have been to pain management doctors before, but never have I had the compassionate yet professional care that I have experienced here. Javonna O'Brien is very thorough & knowledgeable in pain management. She is also personable and caring. I leave her office feeling very well taken care of. Also, the rest of the staff is very polite and friendly. I am treated respectfully by everyone and that is so very important to me. I appreciate the quality of care I am given and the opportunity to show it. read more

Would be new patient, was told a time for an appointment, their automated system called and stated a different time for my new patient appointment. When the appointment was set up, my first call to this place no less than 15 minute hold to speak to someone, the second call same 12 to 15 minute hold was to confirm the appointment time. I asked a simple question is this the type of service that is to be expected from this place is long hold times and conflicting information and the person on the phone became very agitated and disconnected the call without verifying anything. My recommendation look elsewhere for treatment seems this place is way over booked and understaffed and they do not care about there patients. This was their Leonard town Maryland office location. Regardless to what the owners / staff may say avoid them. read more

Horrible bedside manner. No compassion or care for their patients. The doctor sat on his cell phone during my visit. The nurse practioner attempted to prescribe me medication that interferes with medication I already take, (yes they have a list of all medicines), I had to point out that it wasn't okay to take together. They cancelled my appointment 2 times in a row because they felt like closing early. Terrible attitudes, I felt like a number. The doctor wouldn't answer my questions. Rude staff. Attempted to charge me for appointments their own staff didn't cancel properly. read more
