I directly asked if there were going to be any surprises and she said "All good, see you soon." When I arrived at the dealership, Stephanie was 'busy' and I was greeted by some other Sale person. I again asked if we were aligned on pricing and he pulled up on their system the numbers Stephanie confirmed with me earlier. Then everything imploded when 'the guy' behind the glass wall (sales manager) produces pricing that was literally '000s of $$$ more per month AND '0000s of $$$$ more down. I brought my vehicle to the dealership to address an oil leak that I was told would be covered under my extended warranty. Initially, the service department informed me that the required part was on backorder, but assured me that all repairs would be covered the following day however, I was told the repair was no longer covered because the vehicle was still protected under the original drivetrain warranty and that I would now be responsible for a $200 diagnostic fee. The conflicting information was frustrating and disappointing. I explained that I did not believe I should be charged for a repair I had previously been told was covered when I requested to speak to the service manager the interaction became increasingly unprofessional. The manager was condescending, and during the conversation made an inappropriate remark asking whether I made a habit of stealing money from people when discussing the disputed fee, recognizing that the discussion was no longer productive. I I requested that they bill me and return my key so that I could leave. The manager refused to do either. I've been informed the staff that my husband would come retrieve the keys and that I intended to leave using my spare set at that point the situation escalated significantly to members of the service department. Use their personal vehicles to block me in while another employee aggressively banged on my window and yelled at me feeling unsafe. I called 911 after hearing the disturbance in the background, the dispatcher advised me to remain in my vehicle into law enforcement arrived. Once the police arrived. The manager's demeanor changed entirely. The responding officer escorted me back into the dealership so that I could retrieve my keys and cancel my warranty coverage. This was one of the most disturbing and unprofessional customer service experiences. Stay away from this dealership first of all when I went to buy a car I actually signed papers on the wrong car. I was looking at the Hyundai Santa Fe and the medium model didn't have the garage door openers built in, so I said I didn't want that car so he showed me the limited. Didn't really discuss prices with me. He just said oh it has the garage opener. Let's go and do the numbers sat down you know had the great rebate so everything looked good on the car that I had just test drove with the garage openers a lot of little extras of course cause it was a limited signed papers and then a couple days later they say oh, you sign papers on the one that didn't have the garage opener. Can you come back in and and we'll sign papers on that one Well, I get in there they don't negotiate. I'm like I think you need to mark something off, they gave me four oil changes I traded my car and I kind of felt like I was trapped then I asked for more money off and they just pretty much flat out and said no and they said well you can take the car that you signed the papers on really so that that's when I got the oil changes *Now looking at my payoff on my app, they haven't even paid my car off. My car is 19 days from late fee fees. I can't even believe that they couldn't even get that right so I would I had so many dealerships trying to call me to give me deals. I didn't get any deal here. I felt like I literally got nothing from this dealership. I would stay away and then when I went to pick my paperwork up, they said oh would it'll be about seven days ended up being about two weeks just to get my second key never had that happen before so I would just stay away. So end up paying $5000 more and they couldn't even knock anything off of that I end up not getting the extended warranty, but I did end up with a lot higher payment that I wanted then they couldn't even negotiate that pretty sad.. read more

A terrible dealership to purchase a vehicle from! I inquired about the advertised sale price on a vehicle and the out-the-door figures. Raleigh, the internet salesperson, added $1200 of products to the sales price before the normal state taxes. He blamed this on Cars.com website. I explained this is not good business....I inquired about an advertised price and am not able to buy it at that price? He said no. This is there normal practice. In a latter email I explained that the could have mentioned the $1200 of products were required in the "Notes" section of Cars.com. He stated if I went to the dealership website it's explained. I told him I was shopping a site that the dealership paid for and it should state all the stipulations. He was very defensive. Horrible service dept and a useless warranty. Got the 30 yr 300,000 mi warranty and paid extra for the clement warranty. 4 years later and zero claims. Transmission starts acting up, took it in and they couldn't find a problem. Paid a diagnostic fee and limped out, trans started to severely fail 2 weeks later, took the car in and heard nothing for a week. Called and they said yes it was bad. Have been fighting with them for 2.5 months and was told today they simply weren't going to repair and they needed me to remove my car to make room for PAYING customers. They even bounced my phone calls to answering machines and I had to call them from another number. Dishonest people who once they get their money you're just an annoyance. read more

Their salespeople are LAZY we actually had to go seek out a salesperson as none were actually working the lot. After talking with our salesperson they seemed inattentive to our needs and wants in a vehicle. We were continually shown vehicles we were not interested in and we found the salesperson was just showing us the most expensive vehicles on the lot instead of actually showing us a 3rd row seating SUV with a fully loaded options package like we asked for numerous times during our trip. We ended up leaving that day and heading to another competitive dealership in the area that was helpful, attentive to our needs, & left us feeling good about purchasing a brand new car from them. This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. The buying process was ok but the second you walk out the door don't expect help from them. They do not answer calls or call back when you leave a message. We bought a used truck with an extended warranty. I asked a lot of question purchasing the extended warranty because theirs seemed high in price and I knew I wanted to check my local Chrysler dealership for what they offer. Clement said it was no issue to cancel if we decided we didn't want it. The week after we bough it we called to cancel. This started in August and we finally got the refund for it the beginning of December and it wasn't the full amount! We got such a run around from the dealership. I kept asking for a breakdown of why they deducted money off the refund and never got it. This is just one issue we had with them among many. They give you money off the vehicle to finance through them but the banks they use are very high interest rates. Once we finally got the refund for the warranty I refinanced and the rate was over half what the original bank was. read more

My wife and I went to the dealership to buy a car, we knew exactly what car we wanted and they had it out front when we got there. We walk into the dealership and are greeted by a salesman, who takes us out to the car to test drive it. He rides along with us and all he talks about is how he has a "Range Rover that is $800/month and a Escalade that's $1200/ month" and all the houses he owns. We get back and get to the dealership to sign paperwork and all Dillon (the salesman) could still talk about was himself. Including how he is the best salesman there and has only been there 4 months. I asked multiple times what the interest rate was and Dillon stated he doesn't know and can't tell us as he's not in finance. We are then asked to sign a paper still without knowing the interest rate. Then Ben, the sales manager, came to the desk and gave us a spiel about the four keys to a car sale. Turns out the 4th key was to leave a review and he pushed that we do that before going in to meet with finance. (We were also told by the salesman that the review is "how he makes his money".) The finance guy Jeff was very rude and wouldn't back off the add-on warranty after I stated we didn't want them. After we signed all the paperwork Jeff made a snarky comment about me not buying the add ons and that I "don't believe in them". While the transaction was fairly quick, it was painful and not at all customer focused. After all, my wife has her dream car and that is what matters, but they can keep their $1000 loyalty money because we will never be back. read more

I went in there to look for a replacement car for one I had recently sold. I had a good salesperson who guided me toward a Tucson, which was a perfect fit for my needs. I stepped away to take care of another obligation I had (wife needed our car) and I used the time to do some more research. As a part of that, I checked inventory and prices at some other dealers, including St Charles Hyundai. Later that afternoon, I returned to this dealership and told them what other dealers had, their pricing, and the monthly payment they quoted me on a lease (best for my situation). I made it clear that I wanted to buy here if they could just match that, since they're closer to my home. Unfortunately, these guys can't get out of their own way. They're so insistent on charging a $2500 market adjustment that they couldn't get the monthly payment anywhere close to their competition. They laid on a sob story about how they aren't getting any bonuses from Hyundai because they don't have enough inventory to meet their sales goals. It's all Hyundai's fault, according to them. No... they could sell a lot more through orders, etc, if they weren't overcharging people. The icing on the cake is when the sales manager, who was operating from a desk in the middle of the show room, loudly announced to my salesperson and everyone in the building, that I just had no intention of buying a car since wasn't willing to pay MORE here. I felt bad for my salesperson. It wasn't his fault. He was working uphill against a brainless manager. After playing their games all afternoon and being insulted, I left, went straight to Steve Williams at St Charles Hyundai and drove off in a beautiful new Tucson in about an hour's time for almost $100 less per month (same terms otherwise). On top of that, St Charles Hyundai threw in a protectant coating on the vehicle free of charge to apologize for it taking so long (it didn't) to get the paperwork ready. If you buy here, you'll overpay and you won't get anywhere close to the level of service you'll get elsewhere. I had taken my car to Firestone in O'Fallon and they kept it for 3 weeks. Each week I was told that after they ordered the parts, it would take one week to fix. But they didn't keep their word. Even the manager of Firestone pretended to be a "tech" to reassure me it would be complete. So, after 3 weeks I took my car from Firestone and brought it to the dealer I purchased it from. They found so many more things wrong with it than Firestone, I couldn't believe it. But Clement Hyundai ordered the parts and fixed my car in a timely fashion. Another homerun for Clement Hyundai. NO ONE called me back. I had to be home by Monday, so I left. I got home and called 4 times today (Mondy), and left messages, both on answering machines and with humans. Again, NO ONE has called back, even though the last person that took a message said they would tell the next available Finance officer to return my call. It is 5pm in Virginia and I can do nothing more today to get this resolved. THEY HAVE BEEN HORRIBLE. I went to the local Virginia Hyundai dealership and they instructed me to call Clement Hyundai up and cancel the extended warranty and Gap insurance policy to bring the payments down while she is unable to make them. It's honestly sad how their customer service drives people away. I bought this brand new 2022, and I already want to trade it in and go else where, because I've had multiple bad experiences with this company. 1 example, I was on my 3rd oil change and I had a guy in the service department tell me I needed to flush my engine pretty soon. Also they claim they're booked months out for an oil change and stopped doing walk in's. It's basically making it easy for them to make your warranty to be voided out. They're a Freaking joke. Several months post-purchase, and a simple issue such as a missing key has cost me +6 phone calls and multiple dealer visits, only to not be resolved. Full details below: The purchasing experience was great and went smoothly. We were given a good deal on our trade, as well as the Tuscon we had purchased. However, the service following the car purchase has so far been the worst of any new-car dealer I have done business with. 1. I was told that I needed to return to the dealer after purchase to obtain the cert. of origin and spare key for our Tuscon (all other new cars I have purchased - Dodge and Toyota - provided this info the same day, but not a huge deal.) 2. When I arrived a couple of weeks later, the 2nd key was the emergency key only, without the remote/fob. I had asked the parts counter attendant about this, and they referred me to my sales associate. 3. I reached out to my SA, and he stated that he no longer worked there but confirmed that I indeed should have received a 2nd key fob with the car. He referred me to the sales mgr. 4. I had called the sales mgr, and left a voicemail with my name and number to return my call. After 1wk I received no call back. 5. I called the sales mgr a 2nd time, and was able to speak to him - where he also confirmed I should have received a 2nd key fob, and stated he would track it down and call me back. Another week later, no call back. 6. Days later I drove to the dealer on my lunch break, and spoke to a manager. They checked the key box then referred me to another person in parts. 7. Parts had a spare remote with no emergency key, however, needed my vehicle to test it (which was at my wife's business). I drove to her work, swapped cars, and returned, to which the remote did not work. 8. Parts took my name and phone number and promised to call be back by EOD with the key status. Days later, no call back. 9. Meanwhile I called Hyundai Corporate, who stated there was nothing they could do and I had to work it out with my dealer. 10. I was able to get in touch with the service mgr, who said they could order a new key with approval from sales. Delivery would take a couple of weeks and they would notify me when it was in. 11. Over a month later, I still have not received a call that my key is ready. I have bought new cars from both Lou Fusz Chrysler and Lou Fusz Toyota, and in both instances the experience was top notch and everything I needed was taken care of the same day as purchase. I'm honestly shocked at how a simple issue such as a missing key has cost me +6 phone calls and multiple dealer visits, only to not be resolved. I highly, highly recommend shopping around at dealers if you are looking to purchase a Hyundai, as once you purchase the car it is clear that Clement Hyundai does not care about the customer service experience whatsoever. read more

Buyer beware. been dealing with them for over 3 months now trying to be done. started with a predatory loan and them taking advantage of an 18 year old and giving him an insulting amount for his trade in to rip him off. Then it was an argument to get the service contract cancelled which isnt even needed with their warranty, they just want more money. Then, it took forever to get the refund so that the loan could be financed through a reputable lender. Now I have to argue to get the GAP insurance refund. They are less than helpful and extremely rude when you call. They aren't even checking on who they are giving a loan to or if it's doable, the sales manager full on admitted he had no idea they did what they did. I promise you they will screw your over the second they see the window to do so. Garbage. I wouldn't send an enemy to do business with them. And god forbid you need to utilize the "complimentary maintenance", you can't get in within any kind of reasonable timeframe. Even the bank we refinanced with says they're shady. I never leave reviews online with my experiences at places but this one I just had to. My first car purchase experience has been miserable since spending almost $30,000 at this dealership. Our sales guy was great, was helpful and extremely nice. Finance was also really nice and helpful. Everything after has been an absolute nightmare. Also don't ever expect to get a phone call back from this place. Just keep calling and keep your fingers crossed. The car had a crack in the windshield on the dealership lot the day we bought the car, and before purchasing it we made sure the dealership would fix it. I am from out of town almost 4 hours away and was told this would be done 3 days later while I was still in town. The day I was told to come back to the dealership no one knew what I wa talking about and then proceeded to tell me to come back another 2 days after that. So that rolls around and they tell me I have to come back AGAIN the following week. So the third try of going in to get my windshield fixed I drive four hours back into town and back to the dealership. I show up at the scheduled time that I was told in person, over text, and email confirmation. The guy working in service was completely rude and told me I should have been there two hours prior and that I will probably need to reschedule. Then says he can try to get someone to come in and fix the windshield. I leave my car there all day and no one calls with any updates on if it's even getting fixed or not. So we call and the first windshield they ordered showed up damaged, so they had to go and get a new one that same day from somewhere else I'm assuming. So the windshield has been replaced but we were informed they were not able to recalibrate my windshield and that I will need to schedule service AGAIN. When I picked the car up there were shards of glass all over the inside of my car, in the vents, in the seats, all over the dashboard, and all over the floor. We had to use a shop vac to get everything out. With part of the warranty I have it states that maintenance is covered at the dealership. If you fail to keep up with service on your car it terminates the warranty which is completely understandable and normal. Well I am due for an oil change and I tried scheduling one for next week along with trying to get my windshield calibrated from back in July. I can't get my car in until the middle of September... for an oil change? So I then asked the girl I spoke with if I went and got it changed somewhere else (and paid for it myself) and just kept the paperwork would it effect my warranty at all since it wouldn't be done at a dealership.... since I live four hours away and need to drive my car. She wasn't completely sure so she transferred my call where it then went to voicemail. I called again a few different times and left a voicemail and no one called me back. I have called a few different times on different days as well and no one can get back to me on a simple yes or no question about an oil change. So am I just not supposed to drive my car until they can get me in four hours away next month? Save your time, money, and sanity and buy a car somewhere else. read more

Was supplied a new engine under warranty (took 3months) when originally was told would take 2 weeks. I get the car have it for a couple months to find out I need a new turbo. Bring it to dealership guy says if they swapped out engine they should have swapped turbo aswell. They call me a week later charging 2,500 for a 600$ part. I bring it to an autoshop and they tell me my engine was barely even connected hand tightened and due to half of my engine being barely connected, had caused damage to the turbo and a bunch of interior damage in engine. I will be filing a claim against this fraudulent place of business don't give them a penny read more

Bought a car from them recently, the salesman, (Kurt Gieselman) promised to give me a set of locking lug nuts for my concern for security of the rims. He promised he would send them to me at no cost to me. Well since we left his lot and brought the new car home, he refuses to answer any of my e-mails. Tired of being lied to by cars salesmen. Doesn't make any sense to blow me off. I could refer several people I know looking for a new hybrid car like mine due to the high gas prices. I will not refer them now. And these people are retired Air Force Officers and are serious potential car buyers. Very disappointed in the poor treatment I've received since we purchased the new vehicle. read more
