Yes, I followed all procedures as stated in the manual. Went back to the store, and all they initially would say is "sorry, nothing we can do except process a warranty claim," which doesn't help for ice storm purposes. Later, a nice friendly assistant manager did agree to take it back and refund my purchase price in full, with no restocking fee, which I appreciate. So, I assume the blame should lie with Harbor Freight, and not the individual store.
