Stock is well displayed, and unlike the Halifax store, there are not copious amounts of shoeboxes within the displays or on the floor, which helps elevate the look and feel of the store. Staffing was sparse on my last visit, which was arguably at a lower traffic time. The one clerk was doing a good job of balancing the customers in the store, and helped me find the pair I was looking for. I think that the online store for SoftMoc is a great compliment to the offline stores, because you can check availability online and also order and get in-store pick up. I tend to do my research ahead if I know exactly what I want. SoftMoc carries dependable brands like Hunter, Clarks, Ugg, Keds and many more - good quality, good price.

I was very surprised to hear that although Cleve's is Canadian, most (if not all) of the items that they sell are American made. I asked whether they had anything Canadian and was not received well. The young woman who was working there did not appreciate the fact that I would not buy anything American and implied by her body language and eye movements that there was something wrong with me. I will not be entering any Cleve's stores in the foreseeable future. At the very least, the customer should be treated with respect.

Unsure, of exactly what I was looking for, I asked one of the young sales guys for help. He was more than happy to help and spent about 15 minutes with me trying on each glove, and letting me know, from a guy's perspective, the good and bad of each one. He also took his time to explain to me the difference between a baseball and softball glove, and was very thorough in helping me find the perfect glove. Most of the boots seemed to have a lot of the crocodile skin look in flashy colours. And other than boots, it was mostly strappy, open-toed heals, some of which still had the croc skin look. Not that I have anything against that look, some people can really pull it off. But it's not for me. The shoe pricing was still pretty expensive, even though there was a %50 off sale. I couldn't imagine seeing the actually cost of those shoes. I'm probably just jealous that I can't afford them though. I guess a lot of people can because the store was pretty full of women. In fact, there wasn't an open seat to try anything on because there were so many people in there. There was one really nice salesguy that I encountered. I was looking at some flats and he came over and told me that most of them had a built-in gel cushions or insoles. He took a moment to show me what he meant, then smiled and walked to someone else. I loved that he didn't stick around by my side and shop with me, much like some other salespeople might. It was just a nice experience that I thought I'd share with you.

I talked to the manufacturer, the afore mentioned, "trusted brand", they declined to address the rip. So I went back to MEC to check on there guarantee. They agreed that it was a defect, and with zero hassle replaced the boots. Thanks to the staff who were chill and used common sense to determine it was a defect. -Bless up it's 2024 baby!

They seem to carry a variety, ie: jewelery, cloths, hats, purses, socks and more socks, funky tops, etc, etc. You can get some good deals, like 5 packages of socks for $10.00.
