Great experience when recently purchasing a pair of green patch boots. When I visited I was greeted within seconds of entering the store which I always appreciate. A staff member, who was quite knowledgeable, answered the questions I had regarding the Blundstones that I was looking for. We had ordered some uniforms for a function and there was several issues: - The Uniforms came in about 2 weeks after they should have. - We called and left messages about the issue but received no response. - When they finally arrived, they had overcharged us by about $150. - They refused to acknowledge that it was their fault, and refused to fix the invoice for us. - After about an hour of trying to reason with them, they realized that they had overcharged us and that it was their fault - but didn't apologize at all. Bad, bad experience. I absolutely do not recommend anything here. Owner seemed to be one of those people who had just inherited a business and didn't care about running it. read more

I've had great experiences with Murphy Gear! Full disclosure: I now know someone who works there (ask for Katie, she's awesome!), but I've had great experiences before that as well. My brother is a masonry apprentice. The first couple things he needed, when he started, were gloves and a hard hat. So we headed over to Murphy Gear to get his stuff. Well, he got it, and a couple other things. And ever since we've been going back. I'll head there for Christmas to pick up new gloves for him, or for his birthday to grab a gift certificate. They've got great quality and a wide selection of what he needs. Last year, for Christmas, I was trying to find work gloves for my husband. He's a rather large man (6'4"!) and has huge hands so it was VERY difficult. Finally, I headed over to Murphy Gear, and Katie showed me a couple great options - all in his size and ranging from low to high price ranges. I got him a nice heavy-duty pair and he LOVES them! The same Christmas, my mom got my brother a pair of steel-toed rubber boots for our rainy spring seasons. They were perfect and fit like a charm! He was the envy of everyone on the work site...for a few days. Then they split, a huge hole in the toe and on the seam. No reason as to why, they just did. He took them back and easily exchanged them for a new pair. He'd had them for almost a year now, and no problems. The gear is great, but if it doesn't work - they'll make it right!
