This is a nice enough apartosuite hotel that is conveniently located close to the Royal Palace and…read morethe Plaza de Espana.
We got a suite, which is one bedroom, one bathroom with kitchenette and sofabed in the living room. Our suite was non-smoking, but someone in the hallway had obviously smoked, and we could smell cigarettes pretty much throughout the hotel. The suite was fine but hardly luxurious. The bathroom was large, and the shower had good water pressure. The beds were comfortable. There were two televisions, but the one in the bedroom did not work, and the maid they sent up to help us was unable to make it work, even for local channels (and there was no plug for Chromecast). The pillows were pretty thin, and the towels were scratchy.
Being March and rainy, the rooftop lounge was closed, but I can see how that would be a lovely place to watch the sunset in the evening.
We did not have breakfast in their buffet, but in the afternoon, the breakfast room is open for free coffee and snacks. There's a Carrefour Express a block down the hill, and we went there to get fresh orange juice, fruit and yogurt to start our day instead.
Would I return? Maybe. The location was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But I did not like the lingering smell of cigarette smoke, and the room was barely ranked as mid-range in decor.
