They left us stranded in a rural part of Mallorca with no way to get our baby and 4 year to lodging. They ruined our trip. Abusive and unjustified charge - lack of transparency I was charged an administrative fee by Click Rent Mallorca for allegedly handling a parking violation that had already been resolved and paid on time. Click Rent never provided any proof that there was a second or additional violation. Despite several requests, the company refused to send the official police notification that they claim to have received. Without any evidence of a new infringement, this charge is unjustified and abusive. The lack of transparency and the refusal to provide documentation is unacceptable and leaves the customer without any means to verify the legitimacy of the charge. I WAS CHARGED €480 FOR ALLEGED DAMAGE I rented a car from ClickRent in Madrid, Chamartin, and on the rent form, given to me when I picked up the car, ClickRent indicated that the car already had damage to the lower front end. After returning the car, the employee inspected it and told me everything was fine and that my deposit would be returned shortly. However, they charged my credit card €480 for "damage to the lower front end" (which ClickRent had already indicated in writing as pre-existing). I received no prior notice or proof, only an invoice 6 days after the charge. I have tried to contact them at customercare@clickrent.es several times without receiving a response. A word of caution! (Please share this post). I don't usually publish articles like this, but I'll make an exception this time. This topic concerns the car rental company @ClickRent, which operates in the Spanish market. NEVER AGAIN @ClickRent https://clickrent.es/ I've rented cars from many rental companies, large and small, and I've never encountered such disrespectful customer service and a complete lack of professionalism. Our entire group was treated very unfairly/We were severely let down by the service, and our sightseeing plans were ruined. Description of the incident: I booked a 9-seat minibus for 7 days with @ClickRent (through their online booking system) to explore the island of Gran Canaria. I did this about two weeks before my departure, paid in full in advance, received confirmation of the reservation, and even completed the online check-in. Everything seemed professional. On the day of our arrival at Las Palmas Airport (LPA - Gran Canaria), we all went to the meeting point in front of the airport terminal, and within a few minutes, a shuttle bus took us to the rental company's office. One of the ladies, initially pleasant, took care of our reservation, took our details/checked our driver's license, prepared our documents, and finally went to get the keys. She returned a few minutes later to inform us that there was no car for us! I was a bit shocked, but politely asked, "What next?"--expecting a response/help from her. The lady informed me that I would receive a refund on my card within a few days, and THAT WAS IT. Nothing more--no acceptance of responsibility, no willingness to help, no willingness to arrange another car, not even from a different rental company--simply NOTHING. I asked to contact the manager, but was informed that it wasn't possible because it was Sunday (no comment). I asked if they could arrange two smaller cars instead of the minibus, but that wasn't possible either (there were many other cars parked in the lot next door). At this point, things got awkward, and her colleague from the next stall joined in on the discussion, and things got quite nervous. When I took a few photos of the place/office we were in for documentation purposes (without any people/faces visible in the photos), the second woman demanded that I delete the photos and started threatening us with the police. It was simply a scandal! NEVER AGAIN @ClickRent, or specifically this office: "Practicante Casto Moros, 35219 Ojos de Garza, España" (I have no idea how this company operates, what its structures and offices are like, or how they work together - I'm just a customer and I'm not interested). So, I emailed someone who runs the @ClickRent booking system. I also received a reply that there was no car for us and wouldn't be - without a word of explanation or any willingness to help! I asked for the matter to be escalated and contacted a manager - I received a reply that the matter had been escalated and someone would contact me. Today, two weeks have passed since this report, and absolutely NO ONE has contacted me! In the end (thankfully), we were driven back to the airport terminal and left there (they refunded us 5 days later - phew). We lost a few hours, but luckily we managed to find a car at another professional rental company at the airport (for a similar price), so NEVER AGAIN @ClickRent! read more

We rented a car from Clickrent at Barcelona Airport to travel to Andorra. Despite knowing we were heading to an area where it could snow, they provided us with a vehicle in completely unacceptable condition. The tires were so worn that a mechanic (whom we had to stop to inflate them) told us they wouldn't even pass the NCT. This is gross negligence, endangering our safety and that of other drivers. Additionally, the car had dents and damages that were not reported in the damage report. So, if you're not careful and document everything thoroughly, when you return the car, they might charge you for damages that were already present when you rented it! After all this, I sent a complaint email to their customer service over a month ago, and to date, no one has responded. I have come to Europe, at least 50 times and have rented a car every time. I recently moved to southern France and would rent a car from Barcelona. I had the worst experience with click Rent than any car rental. I've had in all of the world. It was worse than India Asia, South America, Africa. They are the worst people I've ever experienced and the worst company. Only go there if you are looking to end up paying four times your car rental price because that's what they think they can do. I rented a van which cost over €400 for two weeks. Upon delivering the van, the awful woman at the desk told me she was keeping my €500 deposit because she saw another person in the driver seat. To explain we had parked the car to return it, but because the location of the rental is right off of a main circle, the car had to be moved for a vehicle to enter, and I was in the office talking with the woman. She chose to charge me €500 because my boyfriend moved the car all of 10 feet. I had emailed with them arguing this for weeks for them to just tell me it's not their problem and they're keeping my money. Do not use this rental unless you are prepared to pay all of your deposit and they're going to make you pay €60 on the spot for an international drivers license even if you already have one from a different company because that's how they are. read more

Similar to others, DO NOT RENT WITH CLICKRENT. We arrived late because our flight was delayed and they had cancelled our reservation. We had to pay for another car which was twice the price of our original booking (and they never confirmed we would be reiumbursed). Staff at the counter were less than helpful. I made a booking redirected through Ryanair website. My pickup time was noted at 19:30. The rental agreement states the shuttle service runs every 15minutes. I waited for 15 minutes and no shuttle, so I rang their number at 19:45. Main number, redirected to airport office, no answer. Website says office closes at 20:00. Rang again at 19:59, no answer. Took a taxi at a cost of 21€ to their offices and arrived at 20:10. Unhelpful receptionist at BCN airport office said the office is now out of hours and I need to pay an extra 22€ for arriving late. I said I required compensation for the taxi, she said it was not her fault. I said you did not answer the phone, she replies she was very busy despite me being the only customer. We booked and paid for a car online and this morning my husband went to pick it up. When he got there, they refused to give him the car because he didn't have his NIE on him. He presented them his drivers licence and a national ID card from an EU country, as requested on their website, and they just wouldn't accept, saying he needs to have the NIE on him (photo was not enough). He said he would come home to get the NIE and return (even if this would mean 1.5h wasted), but they said that no, they wouldn't give him the car anyway?! They said that we will receive the money back for this car and then we can book another one if we want, with minimum 24h in advance. Our plans were for today! That's why we booked the car. We promised our little one that we are gonna take him to snow, we have all the luggage, food and everything prepared and now we do not have a car. Absolutely horrible experience! read more

We got baited & scamed!! Click Rent daily rates were the lowest but that was just a ploy to get us in their rental office where the offices were setup like a Car dealership and the agents were trained to upsell insurance and other useless product/services. When they are unable to upsell insurance products and toll transponders they will get you with fake damage to the car. Our rental bill was around €150 but when we returned the car they tacked on another €870 for a minor damage/scratch that was obviously a cosmetic damage that we didn't cause. Do yourself a favor, under no circumstances rent from Click Rent! Also, see other 1-star reviews. There's a pattern to how this scam company runs its business! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!! Their goal is not to provide services... but car rental is just a means through which they want to "cheat" and deceive tourists as much as possible. At the very beginning, they were not willing to add or change the name of the driver. Just administrative nonsense! I had to cancel the entire order and since it was already on the spot and not 48 hours in advance, I lost the price of the reservation!!! And instead of the price of about €135, I paid €360 for a new car, plus a canceled order!!!! When I took delivery of the car, I received NO list of previous defects and scratches (it was part of the documentation elsewhere). Click Rent will NOT deliver this, and they pretend to hand you a Flawless car. And then they wait for which mistakes, scratches, knocks tourists will not notice. And if you don't notice something and don't take a picture RIGHT at the beginning, they charge €500 for everything!!! And that's why they won't supply a list of previous damages, because they'll have the same scratch paid for by who knows how many tourists. If they had a list, they would lose the opportunity to ask money from other tourists again and again. And here one has to play detective. And you have to be very carefull,.. because when taking over the car.. it looked exactly like the lady who was checking the car... she immediately went to the least visible places. They exactly know where the least visible damages are hidden on the car. They are high level frauds. And you can't help yourself.. they don't respond to complaints and e-mails!!! ,.. SCAM - Be Aware They take your credit card online, but then don't accept it as a form of payment. Although it said FREE CANCELLATION on the booking you can't cancel it as it "states in the terms and conditions". Unfortunately their level of German or English isn't even close to conversational so you're just lost. Called support of DoYouSpain.es is non existent, meaning they just say they can't help and hang up. Important note: This happened to everyone in there but one Spanish family. VERY BAD EXPERIENCES WITH CLICK RENT MALLORCA!!! It all started with a very bad experience when I showed up for pickup the car at 26.07.2019 in the office of Click Rent in Palma de Mallorca Airport. I rented a car with a voucher of BSP Auto, which is a rental broker. The rental contract number is CON485327M / BSP AUTO. Booking number: CR485327M. The Car was a blue Audi A1 with the plate Number: 2066 JXW. Agent Name: LORENA MARI G. During the rental process the Agent draw an amount of 1.700,00 EURO from my credit card as a deposit / pre authorization. After that she asked me to sign blindly the handing over document of the car. In this document were 7 marked previous damages. I explained her that I would like to see the condition of the car and check all damages by myself before I sign any document. It was a long discussion with her. Finally she admits that she has no time to come personally to the car. She offered me, that I can directly go to the returning department and ask them to check together with me the car and add more visible damages on this document. She kept one copy of this document and gave me the original. And literally I found 30 + damages after 30 minutes of my precious vacation time on this car, which were not stated in this handling over document. The person in the returning (dropoff) department added these damages and signed/stamped them. I was really upset about this method and the condition of the car. It seems for me that this is systematically and illegal done by this rental company in hope that they find enough stupid persons who will fall in this trap. I took pictures and a video of the car at the time of pickup in front of the returning department and an employee. You have to understand that I am in vacation and I am not a car expert by profession. So I did my best and hoped that I have discovered all damages of this car. I drove the car carefully and no accident or damage happened to me within the rental period. On 31.07.2019 I showed up at the dropoff point (returning department) for returning my car. I handed over the key and the original handling over document. She was irritated that there are so many more markings of damages then in the copy, which she has in her rental dossier. She was also speechless about the general condition of the car and talked loudly to herself "how could they give you a car like this - in this condition - for rent? And immediately she looked at the document and went to the co-driver side (right side of the car). The first thing she looked at was the rear door at the right side of the car. She opened the door and looked at the upper area of the door, which is next to the roof of the car. This irritated me pretty much. Why is she directly running to this explicit door? Why is she leaving the rest of the car disinterested? I guess that this will remain a mystery - because this seems to be a set up scenario. She called me next to her and said: "Here, look at this. Someone forced the door and tried to open the car at this position with a tool". I saw minor scratches of the length of 3 cm underneath the rubber sealing of the doorwindow and beneath one tiny dent of 0,5 cm. She said that I have to pay for this (or my insurance) damage. I explained her that the car is allover damaged - and especially the roof showed many damages which are marked already at the document. I explained her that this must be a previous damage, which we haven´t seen upon pickup. After a long discussion (and the possibility that I miss my flight) I decided to sign this returning document. Otherwise their employees would not let me go away. By contemplating this allover situation It feels like this company has found a "clever method" to rob peoples money with criminal methods like gangsters. Meanwhile I have seen that they have charged my credit card 1022,50 EURO without any explanation or invoice or detailed damage report with quotation from a authorised and qualified repair centre. I totally disagree with this method and am not willing to pay any amount for this rip off method. I advised my credit card company to refund me the money. Seriously not impressed; when we collected our car the keys wouldn't work, one of the guys fiddled with the battery in the key ring and sent us on our way. Replacing the button battery straight away would have been so easy, but no, we were sent on our way! We got to the hotel and the keys failed again. Rang the office but they were closed! Rang the next morning and no one would help us because we asked for an English speaker. We waited 50 minutes and were just put on hold. They wouldn't speak to the hotel receptionist because they weren't the client. Appalling service. We went to a supermarket and bought our own battery but shouldn't have needed to, a very simple thing to do caused huge stress! We will never use them anywhere again. read more
