He was very friendly and very eager to get us situated, going as far as walking us all the way to our room because he was worried it would be difficult to find (it was). Our room, despite being at the end of a very narrow hallway and up several flights of stairs, was very roomy and beautifully decorated. Everything looks like it had been recently refreshed, from the bathrooms to the furniture. All in all a good experience.

Location wise Puro has a good location in the old city, but it is easy to walk to another part of town from the hotel. Our room was comfortable but I chose the room with the bathroom up a flight of stairs and instantly regretted that. The bathroom seemed like it could use a little refresh as it was a bit run down. I did enjoy the roof lounge area, especially during sunset.

When we were departing, the crowd of people was very difficult to navigate. With lots of people and limited elevators and entrances, it created quite the scrum. I cannot recommend Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá based on my experience.
