I've visiting this catering center a few times and I'm always impressed…read more This place is Beautiful The food is very tasty. The staff is friendly Hopefully I'll be back for another event BNL

We stayed at the 5400 Ferne Blvd location in Drexel Hill…read more The GOOD : the lobby is big, the eating area is also very big; they have an outside eating area; the buffet is decent: pancakes, premade French toast; eggs(scrambled), bacon, potatoes, no decaffeinated coffee, no water (have to ask for water), yogurt, etc.. The room is large, with small fridge, large shower stall, plenty of soap options, quiet a/c fan, room darkening shades are nice, tv. Is decent with a good selection of channels, free WiFi, THE BAD: the shower stall is slippery as ice. It's almost impossible to stand in it without slipping and sliding. This situation was extremely disconcerting. It's impossible to wash yourself while holding on to grass bars so as not to fall. I went to the front desk and asked if they had shower stall floor mats to help with the slippery floor. They did not. The bath, hand and face towels could not have been any rougher Almost like sandpaper on our the skin. Very cheap towels. The breakfast was reasonably priced. The big issue for me was the 18% gratuity they charge for the staff to do nothing but pick up our two dishes after we were done. When we received the bill, I saw that at the bottom of the receipt was a selection of tip options, 18%, 20%, and 22% gratuity. Other than try to confuse the customer in tipping again, why would you include a gratuity option if you already added the tip??? The booth we selected was right next to her station. While she was charging my credit card to pay for breakfast, she ignored me while she was speaking to someone on the phone. There were only 2 other tables being used, so the morning was slow for her. We sat at the only booth that was close to her, there was a cup of coffee and some coffee spills on the table that were ignored by her. We chose that booth since the booth was the more comfortable choice for us. When I went to my room the house maid was almost done. She let me in after checking to make sure my key fit that room and let me in. She was done in about 2 minutes. As she was leaving she said "thanks for the tip". I said "what". She repeated herself and said "thank you for the tip". I said ok. I texted my wife and asked her if she left a tip for the house cleaner. My wife said no, that we always tip on the last day of our stay. What I do remember is leaving $5 on the tv stand with a lot of other items. So she either took money from the tv stand, which I found odd or she was thanking me in advance to tipping her later. I found that her thanking me in advance for her to was unusual. Then I remembered the $5 I left and it was now gone. I found it to be unusual that she would thank me in advance for the tip. Either scenario was not correct. I expect that money I put down on a table be left alone and that I should not expect the cleaners to pick up money lying around and assume it's for them. If that's the current procedure then it's my fault. Overall there was some good and some bad. I'd give this One star for the shower, towels, and restaurant tip and house cleaner tip confusion. Five Stars for the quietness, cleanliness and the comfortable bed.
