Below is complaint sent to the Better Business Bureau on December 16, 2024. Stanley Steemer ignored the BBB's attempts to contact them. However I learned they are NOT accredited with the BBB. That is who they are. On December 4, 2024, they came out to my house, were there a bit over 2 hours and charged me $2,200.00. To say the job was not well done is a gross understatement. My house is 1,200 sq ft. I have seven air vents. The air vents were to be cleaned and that was not done. I had to get them to come back as they were leaving to do the primary vent. All they did was hose it down. Clean to me means you take down the vents and wash and dry them before putting them back on. This was not done, not even close. I still have the lingering scent of the dog previous owner had. I was charged $899 for this cleaning service. Which leads me to say one size does not fit all. $899 plus tax for nothing. It's time Stanley Steemer to reevaluate/change pricing. Base pricing on the square footage of the dwelling. They also did the floors and grout. Because I was getting my furniture delivered on Dec 5 I got down on my hands and knees to tape down brown construction paper to protect the floor. While doing this I found dust and other left over vent debris on the floors. Being a conscientious consumer, I tipped the guys who came out. This was before I found what I just described. I expect a 75% refund from that service. Furthermore, since Dec 5 I have been trying to get a callback from the manager. I have called 5 times to date. I do not even know his/her name and contact info, so I have to keep calling. I do not even know if my message was received. I paid over $2,200.00 for this service. The actual cleaning was not done. I will not ever recommend using Stanley Steemer to anyone. Also, I tried attaching a picture but was unable to do so. And of course there is no email address to contact anyone at corporate. I do expect a call from a decision maker. Because of the inadequate service I received I canceled the follow-up service I had to clean my furniture. Regards, Michelle S

On the hottest day of the year the Air Conditioning quit . It was coming up to a holiday weekend and I was desperate for service . I called several companies but only Josh from Fleur de Lis could come out the next day . He was knowledgeable and empathetic and delivered the bad news that my HVAC was on its last legs . He instantly checked if he could get me something suitable as I care give my elderly Mother in a wheel chair . He presented two choices . I had a lot of difficulties choosing the correct unit as this is an older house with high ceilings and obtuse angles to heat and cool . I decided on the more economical unit but was apprehensive . I texted Josh several times worried over the choice . I did finally opt for the more costly unit . There were two units that Fleur de Lis put in over two separate days . They were on time , professional , and no problem was too much for them to address . Josh was concerned that my Mom had AC the entire time as she has a bad heart . I cannot put into words how wonderful this company is in general and Josh and his staff were to my Mom and our home in particular . They are the best !!

They are one of the few companies in my area that will deal with my complicated geothermal system. They have also worked on my mother's basic residential system, my hot water heater, and some plumbing repairs at both of our houses. They are always quick to respond, fair with pricing, and I have never had a problem with any of their work. At one point I had a home warranty and they even did battle with the home warranty provider to help get work covered. (Home warranty providers do not like covering geothermal systems!) The company stands behind their work and they have proven themselves to be an honest, customer-oriented company. My mother is in her 90s and I trust them completely to take good care of her even when I am at work. They are good people and completely dependable.

They tried to charge me 90.00 diagnosics and 254.00 for a float switch that is sold online for 19.99 and that i got through another A/C company for $46.00. There are a lot of other reputable a/c companies that will not price gouge and over charge. The owner of the company mike offered me a "deal" if I sign a maintanince agreement. He would give me 10% off 20.00 piece that he is charging $254.00 on. Then he proceeded to be very unprofessional and curse at me and tell me I'm a horrible person for being pissed off at his price gouging. This company is everything that is wrong with American today. Use someone else who won't take advatage of you.
