I just had these folks come out to change out our upstairs HVAC system. Our 14-year-old unit was…read morelow/leaking Freon, and rather than Band-Aid it, I figured it was a good idea to replace it now instead of waiting for a summer emergency. Kelvin was very helpful and patient in answering all of my questions and laying out options from good, better, and best. Ultimately, we selected something in the Lennox Elite line. I did a fair bit of research, and it seems the Lennox products are some of the most reliable and they pair their brand with good installers. Our install date was set for about a week out from when we selected our system. We also qualified for 12 months 0% financing which I appreciated. Amanda was very helpful on the phone to get us setup with our financing options--they have a bunch of different ones. Communication was great in advance of our install date, too; they called the day before to confirm. I also wanted to upgrade both of our thermostats because we had basic, non-programmable ones that worked off mercury. Our new setup is digital, programmable, and accessible over WiFi through an app on my phone. This was an important feature for me, and I'm appreciative we found a way to make it work. The crew showed up shortly after 8 a.m. and was finished by 11! It was all-hands-on-deck when we had four trucks here at once. The guys were all courteous and friendly. They did a thorough, neat job, and didn't cut any corners. They added things like float switches and access points to clean the drain lines. Our thermostats are neatly installed, and they took time to show me how to work them. All the old equipment was hauled away; they initially forgot a piece that had been set aside in our attic, but they came right back to take it away. Now it's only February, and it's only been a few hours, but the new system certainly looks nicer outside and was noticeably quieter during the testing time we had it running. I hope to squeeze a little more life out of our downstairs system, but I won't hesitate to call Oak Grove H&AC when it's time.

They replaced all of my ductwork at a very reasonable price, and the quality of the work was outstanding. While working in my attic, they even removed and disposed of a dead rodent they found, which I truly appreciated. Accidents can happen during any job, and when a part of my ladder was accidentally broken, the owner, Mr. Kenny, immediately reimbursed me so I could replace it. That level of honesty and integrity speaks volumes. Mr. Kenny also took the time to point out other issues that needed attention -- things I would have never known about -- and gave me great pricing on those as well. They take no responsibility even though they drained the Freon to low causing the ac to over pressure and pop the pop off valve. Which in turn caused the compressor to burn up. This was confirmed by 2 separate, reputable, ac companies that we had come look at it. Climate control wanted to charge $1900 in labor to fix what they broke. The others would do it for $900. Why on earth was climate control $1k more? Because they're incompetent and dishonest. I strongly advise against using them.

But they said they "fixed that part" but the pop off valve is something completely different and they're not responsible. How can that be?? The ac was working fine just wasn't cooling fully. Now they have broken the ac and want to charge $1900 for labor on something that was working fine until they showed up. And then the supervisor has the nerve to say "my technicians have families to feed too" when we ask how they can charge $1900 in labor on something they did. Biggest ripoff with incompetent technicians. The technician was at the house over 5hrs for "this simple fix". Had the outside unit tore apart. No the ac unit didn't work at all. DO NOT USE THEM.

I called several companies but only Josh from Fleur de Lis could come out the next day . He was knowledgeable and empathetic and delivered the bad news that my HVAC was on its last legs . He instantly checked if he could get me something suitable as I care give my elderly Mother in a wheel chair . He presented two choices . I had a lot of difficulties choosing the correct unit as this is an older house with high ceilings and obtuse angles to heat and cool . I decided on the more economical unit but was apprehensive . I texted Josh several times worried over the choice . I did finally opt for the more costly unit . There were two units that Fleur de Lis put in over two separate days . They were on time , professional , and no problem was too much for them to address . Josh was concerned that my Mom had AC the entire time as she has a bad heart . The only recourse i know of is to warn others about him so they don't have to experience what we did. What a shame that companies like this exist and treat people this way. We tried multiple times to get him to even just reimburse us for the parts we need to fix HIS mistake and all he did was deny deny deny when we have photos to prove the damages he caused.
