My family and i went here after moving us in to our new home in Norris, and WOW. We had an amazing time here - from the food to the service everything was wonderful. My dad could not get enough of his meal and said about a thousand times it was the best thing he's ever had. I can't wait to come back to try more items on the menu! I live less than 10 minutes from this place, so I thought I would give it a try. I walked in and asked Mustache Joe at the bar if I could sit anywhere or if I needed to be seated. He told me I could sit anywhere, so I sat at a table. And sat there. And sat there. And sat there. No one asked me if I wanted a drink or offered me a menu. Mustache Joe was happy to chat up other three other customers at the bar, but didn't acknowledge me further. It would have been nice if he would have even shouted across the room if I wanted a beer or a menu or to give instructions like "if you want anything you can order at the bar," but nothing from him. When you're in the hospitality business, I think you should be hospitable. It's such a small, basic thing to expect at a bar/restaurant. It's too bad. I could have been a great regular customer. But apparently they don't care much for their customers...or at least me anyway. read more

Went and had a beer and an appetizer next to the dam! Extremely friendly bartenders. Had a few different brews and enjoyed the fire pit. Also enjoyed the trout dip - which was delicious. Really good flavors and a nice tasting. One of the dips came in a paper cup thing, which was unfortunate because it was really really good and you couldn't really get all of it out of the cup. Great beers. Pete's pale ale. Belgian ipa and moyers maibock. Chicken ruben. So good. The jambalaya was killer. I mean, Louisiana good. The boudin balls were a miss. Texture. Seasoning. We love this place!! There is nothing that ever disappoints here. The staff is extra friendly and outgoing. The food is AMAZING. The view is fun. The drive is a short distance from Knoxville. The shrimp and grits are off the charts delicious. They are just the perfect amount of sauce and grits and yummy giant shrimp and sausage and toasted bread. My hubs loves their burger. On a chilly day after hiking Big Ridge, we stopped in for a beer and snack. My friend and I enjoyed the food and the COVID precautions. Had a wonderful afternoon lounging and drinking good beer! I got the clinch river tall, dark and Belgian and my wife got the regular @ night. Get the regular, it's half the price and both were excellent. Food was basically street food that came in a cardboard basket, and was deceptively filling and delicious. You need to get a beer though bc the wait was an hour at 2pm when very few others were there... beer garden has a nice pond and is friendly to smokers. I'd say if you're in the area it's nice to drop by, probably not worth a special trip read more

Had a nice time on a Saturday night. The porter was very good, complex flavors. Live music with a great guitar player added to the enjoyment. It is definitely low frills. The food was good. The drive to Clinch River from the house was scary! Was on street that ran parallel to river for bit then actually had to drive through the river! Thankfully I found a better route in the way home. We tried a few beers and I ended up with the 29lb brown. My friend got an IPA which was surprisingly good. I don't generally like IPAs but this one didn't have the hoppy after taste. The guy helping us tried educating us about IPAs but I can't remember the details. For snacks we got pretzels, cheese and meat platter and smoke trout dip. All the food was great. The smoke trout and the dip that came on meat platter were fantastic. I really like the pickled cucumber on meat platter as well. Atmosphere of brewery was also very nice and relaxing. We sat outside. Not a lot of seating outside. There's an lower and upper level inside. It's definitely a place I would recommend. I'm sure we'll be back next time we're in Norris Lake area. read more

I work at Norris Dam State Park and I've been driving by CRB all summer, dying to stop in. I finally did and I was not disappointed...this place is phenomenal! Laidback atmosphere, great brews, and the food....oh the food. I had a medley of roasted root veggies atop a bed of cheese grits crowned with a fried egg and arugula. My sister had a sandwich that was divine and we shared the trout dip appetizer. Apparently they have a rotating menu so there's always some different. My only complaint would be the lack of parking BUT there is another lot just across the street. Great place to relax after hanging at the park or being on the water. It is located in a former TVA education center and has an active runout pond in an outdoor courtyard. We sat outside near a fire pit and listened to a live 2-man band.
