Had a fabulous day at this very quaint and inviting winery. Sits up the mountain overlooking beautiful scenery. We were welcome by the owner (found that out later) where we were offered a sampling flight. Served by a young lady (wish I remembered her name because she was great) who explained each sample and where the grapes came from. The wine is delicious and tastes very pure. It was a lovely fall day. We sat out on the patio and shared the cheese and meat board plus the spinach artichoke dip. Gluten free was an added bonus for our celiac friend. Meat and cheese board was good but it's not fancy. No special cheese or meats and grocery store crackers. Loved it...just be prepared. So happy we made the trip from Andersonville. Owners a great person and has wonderful stories... but the wine is legit! Worth the drive

Our family visited this lovely establishment yesterday evening and loved every minute of our experience! We started off with two tastings (allowing us to try 10 of their different wines). Each tasting is only $5 and they waive that fee if you end up buying a bottle to take home (which we absolutely took them up on once we realized how many incredible wines they have!). My favorite part was that the owners guided you through the tasting at the counter so we had an opportunity to learn about each wine as we tried it. Once we sampled all the wines (and their two delicious wine slushies), it was almost too hard to choose, as there were so many we loved! We were particularly fond of the Concord Grape, the Pinot Noir, and the smokey Shiraz but the Sweet Grigio and both Rieslings were also quite a hit. We enjoyed sipping our wine outside on the patio, overlooking the sun sinking over the mountains. We also indulged in their charcuterie board, spinach & artichoke dip and pulled pork sliders. Every single one was a winner! Overall, we already can't wait to return! We are vacationing just down the road at Deerfield Resort so it's almost too convenient. If you're anywhere close, this is without a doubt, worth a stop. Hands down, one of our favorite parts of our trip thus far! read more

So I decided to go to Chapman Hill as a study break and I am so happy that I did. My group of friends and I got there around 1pm and the experience at Chapman Hill was just amazing!!! I got a flight of their white and sweet wines for $5 and they also offered a flight of their reds for $6. Our group also got the charcuterie board which was amazing especially the goat cheese with pineapple jalapeño jelly on it. The owner was extremely nice and answered all of our questions and made us feel extremely welcomed! The winery itself was so cute! So spacious, I could have sat there for hours. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area or even if you just need to get away for a bit. I will definitely be coming back! read more

So many positive things to say about this place. My wife called because we were planning on taking our son, but wasn't sure if he was allowed. Not only are kids, and four legged kids allowed but they also have treats and games for them to keep occupied -- How cool. He didn't want to come so we arrived without the little man shortly after they opened. We were the first customers here and decided to do the wine tasting. The owner was super cool and explained each of wine in detail. We ordered a couple glasses of wine, a bottle and a charcuterie board to enjoy while hanging out in the back patio. It was a really cold day. Even though the outdoor patio heaters were going it didn't help much when the wind hit us. My wife and her grandma wanted to take a tour of the wine making process. I decided to go inside to watch football on my phone with their Wifi. We stayed for a couple hours and really enjoyed ourselves. The wine tasting was comped when we purchased a couple bottles. This place seems to be family run so I'm sure it can get overwhelming here with a lot of guests but I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the area. read more

My husband and I stopped in last Sunday evening and enjoyed a wonderful cheese plate and a bottle of their 2018 Cabernet Franc. As we were talking with Chuck Compton who owns the winery along with his wife Sherry, we asked if they ever gave tours. Chuck said of course and was delighted to show us around and share the process of how they make their delicious wines. We had a great visit and learned quite a bit. Came here today with my husband for the first time ! We arrived shortly after the winery opened ! We did the five wine tastings and the wine was delicious. The only thing I need to say is that the tasting was hardly even a pour - kinda stingy in my opinion! We also enjoyed a wine slushie and a charcuterie board which was beautiful looking , hearty portions and very tasty! We also had our wine tasting waived because we bought a few bottles of wine ! I also need to add that we brought in our charcuterie board - knife glasses ect when we were done and ready to pay and the owner said snidely , your not getting a discount for waiting on your own table - didn't expect a discount , just expected a little kindness - the wine was delicious, the charcuterie board was hearty and delicious but we will not be back ----- kindness means everything to me !! read more

My family and I have a condo at Deerfield and drove by this cute place last year when they opened and didn't get a chance to go. This year we decided to go before dinner and it was so worth it! Cutest husband and wife owned winery. You can tell they put a lot of love into it. They have a great patio that faces the road and rolling hills. This is a really cute spot. We went during music and catered food so their own menu items weren't available until after those were done. We were excited to try their food so we waited until we could get some. We kept asking when we could order and they seemed super overwhelmed by it. You'd think on a Saturday night they would already have stuff prepared and ready to go for after the music ended but I guess not? The food and wine were good other than it just taking a while. I don't think they anticipated the number of customers who came in at the same time. We waited for a bit where we were seated because we were told to have a seat and someone would be with us shortly. Eventually, we decided to go to the counter, where we were again told to continue waiting where we were seated, while others were served at the counter. We tried to be understanding, in that the few staff present were obviously overwhelmed. So we waited, until eventually Chuck came to the seating area and let us know that they currently couldn't accommodate tastings (which was the purpose for our visit), but did offer individual samples and asked that we wait until another staff member arrived~~understandable, but I don't recall him ever smiling, despite our party's attempts to humor him & de-stress the interaction, given that he was obviously overwhelmed. Fine, grumpy Gus. At one point, he observed that I had in my possession a vape , and took the opportunity to let me know that "we don't allow that in here". I was shocked for a second by the rude and snooty manner in which he said it, then I was annoyed. I hadn't, nor did I intend to use it indoors, because I'm not an idiot. I don't know why he felt the need to chastise me when I'd committed no offense. It's was off putting and offensive. We found Chapman Hill on a recent trip to the Norris Lake region. We stopped by for a tasting and ended up taking several bottles home with us. The winery is a lovely visit-- a beautiful porch to look over the landscape and comfy indoor chairs for chatting and hanging out (including for the kids!) We especially loved the Riesling and the Bourdeux style red. This place is worth the visit and will give you a chance to be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wines Chapman is producing right now! read more
