I would caution anyone away from this hospital - especially from Cardiologist Rody G. Sy MD, my Ama…read moredied under his care several years ago from multi-organ failure, in fact, she died under excruciating pain, screaming from her hospital bed for a head physician who was rarely present. If not medical malpractice, this was a case of outright negligence, she checked into Cardinal Santos after sustaining a blood clot from a head injury and subsequently died due to liver poisoning which affected her other organs. What an absolutely useless team of doctors she had led by the incompetent Dr. Sy who failed to perform the proper medical examinations and carelessly prescribed anticoagulants with fatal repercussions. While the doctor was away, her organs were slowly being poisoned until it had spread to her liver, causing irreparable damage. All together my Ama's death was a direct result of the failure to exercise reasonable medical care, a lack of a thorough and accurate diagnosis, along with an unnecessary delay of proper treatment. As my Ama's primary physician, it was incumbent upon Dr. Sy or any capable members of his staff to recognize symptoms requiring further testing and treatment. They ALL failed to do so. This hospitals combined failure resulted in my grandmother's suffering unnecessary liver damage.
