I have been in Pawleys Island since 1992 and have been going to this location through all of its iterations since it's opened. It was ridiculous to waste my money going to a salon when all I was getting was a haircut. Everyone there does a wonderful job and I generally sit with Kandra. I have never had a bad haircut. I have never waited more than 10 to 15 minutes. The price is way lower than what it should be. And I like the barbershop kind of environment as opposed to a salon. You see people pull up driving jaguars. You see people pull up driving a pick up truck from 1985. Tall, short, young, old everybody goes here and I will continue to go until they take me out of my house horizontally. When I'm laying in the funeral home people will walk by and look at me and go. I have gotten my haircut here for the last 6 years. The staff is wonderful- friendly, funny, consistent with the haircut I receive. I usually get in quick but even when I wait, there's a list to sign in and you can pick who you want or take the next available. Each member of the staff is as wonderful as the next. My husband went to the Clip Joint and saw Tamika, on a friend's recommendation, after his regular barber relocated. He usually gets a "clean up"...nothing drastic...and that's exactly what he got!
