But more important, really welcoming owners who great you with tea and coffee, maps of the environment with lots of walks and the best spots for watching puffins and such already pointed out (literally, with big arrows) for you. What a disgusting way to do business! To add insult to injury they sent me reminders prior to my incorrect check in.I am a great believer in carma and today I found some, we had lunch at the Crofters Kitchen where the chef who previously worked at that hotel has now set up business, a great loss for them but a win for all NC500 adventurers. I am now staying at the Eddrachilles and boy do they know about customer service.

Our room still has some original wood paneling and antique furnitures. It's like living in the past. We hiked the Varrich Castle ruins. The restaurant food is okay nothing spectacular. They serve a big Scottish breakfast with local, quality foods. Angus and ET were very friendly and helpful. Angus made several suggestions for places for us to explore and hike. We found them (thanks to his maps and good directions) the places he suggested were beautiful. I'd be happy to go back to Scourie Lodge.
