What a disgusting way to do business! To add insult to injury they sent me reminders prior to my incorrect check in.I am a great believer in carma and today I found some, we had lunch at the Crofters Kitchen where the chef who previously worked at that hotel has now set up business, a great loss for them but a win for all NC500 adventurers. I am now staying at the Eddrachilles and boy do they know about customer service.

But more important, really welcoming owners who great you with tea and coffee, maps of the environment with lots of walks and the best spots for watching puffins and such already pointed out (literally, with big arrows) for you. I especially enjoyed the breakfasts in great company with the yogurt with fresh fruits and 'Christmas slices'. Will definitely stay there again!

If the owners read this, I would say that their dishes are delicious and sophisticated in their own right - tasty fresh fish, great potatoes, flavorful meat - and there is no need to add pathetic little olives or package haggis into a pakora! Their food is great and doesn't need these unnecessary "embellishments". Anyway, I have been texting my friends about how awesome food in NW Scotland is, and this little gem is a great example!!

Our room still has some original wood paneling and antique furnitures. It's like living in the past. We hiked the Varrich Castle ruins. The restaurant food is okay nothing spectacular. There was a complimentary sherry our room. I do recommend this place.
