A big roofing company tried to help me but quit on my family halfway through, I guess the insurance company was too much for them? I felt alone and tried to find someone else to help, someone who might know a way to win. I remembered her signs in my neighborhood and hoped maybe she was different because her style feels earnest, honest, and like someone trying to grab the American dream of making it their own way. When Renda and I were first texting about her taking over my claim I was quiet about my reservations as I was aware I was jaded and hurt by those who came before her promising us the same kind of care but I have been blown away and regret any doubts I ever had of finding an insurance specialist who could actually get insurance to pay like they're supposed to. Whereas others just promised me the water would stop coming in and they were there for us, Renda actually did everything. Every promise made was kept, and our roofing emergency was resolved and fixed in less than a couple weeks of taking over my claim. Renda actually got insurance to pay out on our claim, and we're in a much safer spot because of her and the local teams she works with. When she says she is all about teamwork she forgot to add the absolute depth of skill of those on her team. Nobody else even wanted to try to get done what her team got done in like not even two hours. When she says she's an insurance specialist, she truly means it. It was only after we secured Renda's services that we were able to get a claim approved. For the first time I actually felt like I was on a team trying to get my home taken care of instead of desperately trying to discern the behind-the-scene's nightmare machinations that is the insurance process on my own or trusting people who said they would stand by us and then fled with an "okey-dokey" the moment insurance said 'no' like Tommy Boy before he got his courage. I still can't believe she and her team finished inside of a couple hours and my roof looks better than ever. I have been waking up at 2am to make sure the tarp I had to put up was still there as my insurance sent a sub-par contractor to put a terrible excuse of a patch up but thanks to Renda I have hope I might actually be able to sleep through the night this evening. This whole ordeal was so overwhelming and so excruciatingly long and so taxing on my mind that when I saw my roof I wept with relief. I truly feel I only got this done because of Renda, and that Renda is the only reason we didn't eventually lose our home to insurances cruelty. I regret not calling her first.

Once the roof was done they picked up every lost nail, flap of cut shingle, swept the patio and driveway. It was as if nothing had happened that day. There was zero trace of the work they did. It was beyond amazing.

Throughout the process we had excellent daily communication with Gaetan, the field manager, and Bill, project manager. The quality of the design, materials, and workmanship was superb. The building site was kept clean and safe. Bill and/or Gaetan visited the site on a daily basis to supervise the project. Joe, one of the carpenters, saw an opportunity to improve the design and discussed it with us, Gaetan, and Bill. We all agreed with the changes and they were implemented. I would not recommend this company to anyone! Twin City Homeworks, LLC (TCHW) was recommended to me…read moreby my insurance agency to replace my roof due to storm damage. I also decided to hire them to replace my siding due to woodpecker damage. I thought it would be easier to have one company do both jobs. On their website they state that they maintain contact with their customers and I have found this to be untrue! Many times it was 2+ weeks after contacting the representative I was working with before I got any response from him either by phone or text, and at least twice I had to call the office before I got any response. This is BAD customer service and communication skills. They got approval from my insurance company and started work on the roof in June, 2018 and I paid them and they started work on the siding in August, 2018. As of today, September 4, 2019, neither job is completed, although they have sent me multiple final invoices asking for final payment. When I saw the initial invoices, I noticed a few items being double-billed (i.e. painting of fascia & soffit on roof job, replacement of fascia & soffit for siding, wrapping of 2 windows on roof claim, replacement of all window wrapping on siding job, etc...). I was told it would be straightened out. When I received the final invoices in October, 2018 those items were still being double-billed I had to go to the main office to get it straightened out myself. I went to the City to check on the inspections because I had not seen an inspector and I found out inspections had NOT been requested and the $100 permit that I paid for to do the siding had not been taken out by TWCH. The inspection for the siding was done January 4, 2019 and for the roof in June, 2019. Neither one passed. The City Inspector is requiring one correction for each job. I have spoken to 3 representatives from TCHW multiple times since January about the correction needed for the siding and a correction I have requested and no one has made any attempt to do any corrections required or requested. Hire this company if you want no communication, BAD customer service and a never completed job. Otherwise look elsewhere!

My next door neighbor referred me to Dave at Armor Construction, Inc. (armorconstructionpro.com.) Dave promised me this would be stress/hassle free... it actually was (unbelievable - I know.) They were on time, beyond careful, meticulous in their workmanship and respectful of my home/property/plants, etc. I got top-quality materials and expert workmanship at a reasonable price - rare these days. ​ This was the best experience I've had with a contractor by a country mile. They did what they promised, when they promised and did a meticulously beautiful job. There aren't many companies that actually refuse to use anything but top quality materials, can pull off impecable workmanship, come in on time and on budget. This owner and company clearly actually cared that the job was done right and that I was happy.
