Closet Case Thrift is a fun shop for a great cause. I learned about it watching the Lowcountry Live show a few weeks ago and stopped in on a Saturday morning. It's a short drive from the Park Circle area of North Charleston. When I walked in, the employee, Jonathan, greeted me and asked if I had any questions. This is quite a change from most of the large thrift stores. He let me browse uninterupted, and I saw quite a few cute finds in the store. The prices were cheaper than Goodwill, the merchandise was in good shape, and many pieces were brand-name. Most of what is for sale is clothes, and I'm currently trying to downsize, so I didn't buy any thrifted items. Although Closet Case Thrift is listed as a thrift store with thrift in the name, they do sell brand-new pride and We Are Family merchandise. I'm loud and proud every month, but June is National Pride Month, so I bought a new rainbow puka shell necklace. I've been looking for a pride necklace online, but why shop Amazon or Ebay when you can shop local and benefit a great cause? Plus, there's no wait for shipping! I also picked up a few buttons for myself and some friends. Jonathan explained that We Are Family has an after school program, and the students make the buttons. I think it's neat that the kids have a safe place to go after school where they can be creative and have buttons they've made in the shop. Proceeds from shopping here benefit We Are Family and their various programs for education and the LGBTQ+ community, so check it out. read more

Great Thrift Store! I came for a Yelp event and ended up finding some great items! I love the sweaters I got and I was able to finish my Harry Potter Book collection. Closet Case Thrift sometimes gets donations from boutiques, so they're not a regular thrift store. Highly recommend! read more
