I have visited Lee Douglas designs twice in the last six weeks looking for a cabinet for my living…read moreroom. Both times people in the store completely ignored me until I indicated I wanted to make a purchase. I purchased a cabinet for $2300 a week ago and again I had to go and ask for help. Behavior like this I could understand if they were busy but I was the only one in there. I needed to have the item delivered so $110.00 later delivery was scheduled. My cabinet was delivered on time by two very courteous men. I haven't heard anything from the sales person to see if everything was correct. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone nor will I be shopping there in the future.

Lee Douglas Interiors memorialized our request and selection in writing with the 'granite' product in our 'Countertop Selections'. Instead, marble countertops were installed, contrary to our request for granite selection due to an apparent incorrect identified countertop product. Being in the design business, Lee Douglas Interiors have the expertise to identify the difference between granite and marble. We attempted to discuss the issues with Lee Douglas Interiors to no avail.

I told the designer at Interiors by Joan that I wanted designs on a budget and that I'd be…read morepurchasing my own retro furniture secondhand and doing the work myself. I was happy to pay for her design services. She didn't listen to what I wanted. Every time we met, she tried to sell me furniture and very expensive goods. She gave me absolutely no DIY ideas, which was what I asked for. Each time we met, she was rushed and looked like she had just thrown together some fabrics and wallpaper rather than considering my wishes. She would also forget what she suggested in the previous meeting. The designer also tried to hustle me into buying Mary Kay products from her. It's just bad business to try to convince your design client to purchase goods for something other than design. I did have her reupholster a chair for me. The price was exorbitant ($2000 for a small armchair). She made a big deal of telling me that the fabric was so expensive that she wouldn't tell me the cost. This fabric was nothing special. She had my chair for MONTHS. I called to follow up on when she would deliver it several times to no avail. Then I called and said that I insisted on getting my chair back that day or I'd withdraw my order. Suddenly, the chair was done. I would NEVER recommend this company, and I'd never recommend the designer I worked with.

The employee placed the order back in September 2016. We received no word before Christmas and inquired again. We were told that there was a delay. Then back in March 2017, I stopped into the store. The employee didn't recall what we ordered and then gave me another excuse as to why it wasn't in. We just stopped into the store one last time and of course they don't even know who the employee was that helped us. I refuse to spend anymore money at this business. They have completely blown us off. I know this is a higher end store, so maybe because we didn't pull up in a Mercedes or Lexus, we weren't considered worthy of their help. Either way, not again!

Not only did we get help with window coverings, but their designer helped us with wall paint color. What we had initially picked out was all wrong--had a pink cast that would have been a disaster!! After following suggestions and after the shades were installed, our rooms look so beautiful that I cried. The measurements are scientific; installation was fast, working with everyone was fun, and even our yard looks more beautiful through the shades!
