If I could give this place a zero stars I would this place is a joke and if more than one person saying it think about it stuff that has tags on it. Please do not buy any designer handbags from this store. I'd like to tell you my story. I purchased a Louis Vuitton from this store on July 1st. The handbag was price for $1,300, which was priced way to high fro what I was getting. This was my first designer handbag and I wasn't knowledgeable on the date the bags are manufactured. Do, I asked the manger of the store what year was the bag made, she stated that is was made in 2018. So white it being fairy new, I was comfortable with paying over a grand for this bag. I knew I should have Dont my research before buying. However, the store is know for checking when the bag are made so they can prove them accordingly. To make a long story short, my friend came by my home and saw my bag and asked how much I paid and I told her. She almost fell on the floor because she knew they lied about the year the bag was made. We then did our research and found out the bag was made in 2006 and it was only worth $450. I then took my original review and handbag back to the store to see if I could get my money back or the remainder of what of what I paid for the bag. The manager Kristina, said I could return the bag for a full refund and she told me to come back the following day to get my money. I didn't believe her so I asked her to write it down on a piece of paper. And so she did. However, when I returned the next day she retracted her story and said she didn't say that. I have pictures and documents all corroborating my story. She then called me racist slurs and called the police on me and stated that I was being a disturbance. This was not case, as I have it all filmed on my phone. I just want to warn others to NEVER buy from this store. Especially designer handbags. They are not knowledgeable on how to price bag accordingly. You might end up paying $500 for a bag only worthy $50. Please be careful!!! Look out for Kristina she is a complete fraud and a liar. I wouldn't trust my dog in her care. She called me Nigger and told me that she hopes I was dead. I have this filmed on my phone. After reading some of the reviews I'm, to say the least, surprised! Ive been shopping here for years because the selection is diverse and the quality is great. There are times they are overpriced on some things, but you experience that everywhere you go. I have never sold items to them as I prefer to sell online because I feel they don't pay enough for the items. As for the friendliness of the staff, I've always had good experiences. I actually visited the CM location in Fort Wayne expecting a similar experience as I normally do I'm Perrysburg. Man, was I wrong! Not only was that place crammed, ill organized and dirty but the staff was HORRIBLE. Not to mention that they'd rip off the tags as they checked you out so you couldn't return any items if you wanted to! read more

Although their selection is very good usually at the Perrysburg store its true that they will give you pennies on the dollar when you are selling them quality name brands. Also the owner/manager is rude and contrar. They do not honor sales sent to your email. She will hold items for a day for one customer but not for another. I am a very big fan of Clothes Mentor. Some items are way over priced, but majority are very good deals. As with any thrift store, be careful for damaged items. I love that the layout has everything color coded and laid out sm-2 or 4x! Staff was prompt in opening a dressing room and in checkout. read more

Firstly, I would like to say that I have always had a great experience with the staff, they are kind and helpful. The store's selection of clothing to shop through is fairly good as well. So if you're visiting purely to shop, it's a great place to go. HOWEVER....do NOT try and bring clothes here to sell, unless you're trying to get ripped off. Or unless you literally just bought the item less than a year ago. Actually, not even then... because they probably STILL won't want to buy it from you, and if they do, it will be for far below what it's worth. I'm certainly not the only one who feels this way if you read the other reviews. I have tried selling multiple designer items here in great condition with original tags still on. For example I have been offered less than 20 dollars for a designer suede jacket with tags still on, originally worth over $375, and had a beautiful black authenticated CHANEL suit turned down because it was "out of style". And yet they can justify wanting one of my old t-shirts from the GAP? Iv'e wasted far too much of my time trying to consign clothes here....please do not follow in my footsteps. read more

Wow. I've read other reviews saying how rude the store clerks in the Sylvania and Perrysburg Ohio area are. I though they were exaggerating. No. Maybe it's a good place to shop, but to sell- not so much. I am an upscale savvy gal who likes good and well made clothes. I offered a now too large for me $300.00 Blue jean jacket that I bought at an exclusive New York high end Boutique last year. The clerk stared at the jacket label and said "it's a nice jacket, but it's too old of a label". I am sure she never saw this private label before. And if declining my offer, she could have used decorum in her refusal. Another time, and a different clerk at another Clothes Mentor told me "we don't take any pants that have any elastic in the waist". So as a joke I asked how much I could get for my Coach hand bag that I was carrying?( It was 2 weeks old!) Clerk responded that it was "soiled and too old" and "we prefer Michael Kors". Do not sell anything here. Tried to sell an authentic Louis Vuitton purse and Christian Dior purse with nothing wrong with either and yet they claimed "they couldn't authenticate it" which is insane. Good luck trying to sell anything there read more

Great store! Convenient location with plenty of parking close to the store. Items are always in excellent condition and reasonably priced. Fair compensation for items brought in to sell. Sales people are friendly and very knowledgeable about name brands. Crystal is personable, especially helpful and has a great sense of fashion. Inventory changes quickly, so shop often. read more

So, you might want to call ahead and see what this location is "overstocked" on at the moment before you take time to launder, steam, and fold the clothes you take in. I didn't expect my full bag of recent JJill clothes to be purchased, but NONE of it? Not one item? The salesgirl quickly mumbled a string of reasons--too old, out of style (let JJill know that because none of this was more than 1 year old), and "wouldn't sell." Ok, but when I asked about a couple of specific like-new items that were purchased earlier this summer, she kept repeating "we're overstocked in that area," "we're overstocked in that area." So, before you waste your time, effort, and gas, you might want to see if they have sufficiently depleted their inventory of pants, dresses and summer sweaters first. If you are selling clothing or purses, be aware they are super-picky. I mean SUPER picky. I submitted womens clothing and two very nice and very expensive leather purses. They rejected the purses and went for some of the clothing. Hard to tell what they were thinking. And the amount of money they offered me was not that much. I have sold items at consignment stores and gotten better prices for my stuff. And at Goodwill, when you donate items they give you a receipt so you can take it off your taxes. It was a drive for me, and I am not sure I will bother going to Clothes Mentor again to sell anything. Certainly not purses! read more

Looked around at what they had to offer before cleaning out my closets and was not real impressed. Some things were pretty cool, but most looked like garage sale items and the store smelled like an old attic. Took my "gently used" clothing in only to be made to feel like I was bothering them on a really slow day. They were dumping my clothes out of the bins as fast as they could and looking at nothing but the labels. I was asked if everything had been purchased within the last year because otherwise they don't want it even if it has the tags still on and is beautiful. the gal who helped me carry things in was really nice and seemed to be a bit embarrassed by her co-worker (probably the boss) attitude. Overall it was an unpleasant experience that I don't want to repeat anytime soon. Will donate my clothes to someone who will be appreciative and thankful. That will feel better than any amount of money Clothes Mentor is willing to give me for being treated rudely. read more
