Meeting with her the first time I knew I was going to be worry free on our trip. I was looking to hire someone reliable for daily visits so the cats weren't lonely, instead of having our neighbours just pop by. We've used their services twice since then. Tammy was wonderful and the cats were well cared for. She even sent me daily updates! Highly recommend HouseHawks. Excellent service!!

I focus primarily on cats & small pampered pooches who prefer the royal treatment and crate-free comforts of home over noisy, cold or busy centres where dogs often sit in kennels. If it is house sitting you need, during house checks, I oversee everyday tasks that make a home look occupied and lived in which increases security by deterring crime and unwelcome guests - your home is more vulnerable while vacant. This also prevents potential lapses in insurance that can happen in as little as 3 days when property is left unmonitored or vacant. Instead of hiring house sitters and kennels separately - bundle it all together in a simple customized package that will save you money and ease any worry about your home, your pets, and your insurance - allowing you to focus on your vacation or business while away. Even if you have extra long workdays, have a small pooch with separation anxiety, or simply feel guilty about leaving your pet alone and unstimulated all day, I can help - especially with the company of my wee Toy Manchester Cassi who loves playdates, walks and regular trips to the dog park. Now that this practice has changed ownership and the wonderful elderly Veterinarian, Dr. Riley, is…read moreno longer there; this practice has only your dollar value in mind. I brought my little dog to Carrington for 2 immunization updates (that was all we made the appointment for). And even though I stated this much when we arrived for care - we were placed in a examining room and we were met by one of the administration staff. This lady was prepared with a pen and noting board - asking me what issues I was dealing with and that they could attend to while we were there. I was asked about dental, diet and general overall health and were there any issues that the vet should be concerned about. I said that we were there for 2 shots and that this was all that was needed. She was at the point of explaining a veterinarian diet the I stopped her and said 'no more' - only shots please. Enter the Vet... who asked if there were other issues and that as well as the 2 updates my dog needed - that I should give my dog a parvovirus additional shot even though he is not around other dogs, 'you never no' - my dog is 4 years old. The Vet then proceeded to physically check my dog for other issues. I wound up paying close to $300.00 for the THREE shots plus a physical exam.... Whenever I had brought my dog in the past, this office was bursting with energy and usually the front office held 2 - 3 patients waiting for their turn. When I arrived to our appointment there was one lady being shown vet food for her pet ( being sold on it by staff); plus; there wasn't any other animal in for appointment (2:00 pm). If any other patient was being 'handled' the way I was (and by the way I did point out that my dog had an issue but was distracted and therefore left without an answer). I would think that the reason behind a 'empty' practice is because of the above - when did money become more important to Vet Care?? I am so sorry that Dr. Riley is retired - all of my pets absolutely loved this very caring human and will miss him very much. However, sad to say that we won't be going back to this practice unless there isn't any other veterinarian service available to us.

That's how amazing these people are. They listen, they care, and they don't steal my money. I've wasted tens of thousands on diagnoses/procedures/meds in the US-- Carrington figured out the problem in 30 minutes and it cost me a total of $82. The problem was too many meds by the way. My dog was being pumped with unnecessary medications. Very on-brand for America. Thank you Carrington!

Spoke to Australian man, so I'm assuming is the owner operator of this business. I just wanted to…read moreinquire about dogs socialization programs, if he offered them and how much it cost. Basic simple questions. He asked and I explained to him a few of minor behaviours that my dog was having and what I was looking for and hoping to gain from integration classes. At this point he strangely and unexpectedly went into Attack Mode. He started telling me that I didn't know what I was doing with my dog and that because of her breed she may never change. He accused me of not knowing anything about her breed. We actually I have two dogs of this breed and have done tons of research and purposely seeked out a 2nd dog of this breed. He stated that I should take her to school grounds to let her run around because not all dogs are going to get along and some of them will just never fit in. He also stated that because of my dog's breed there may be no hope for her. This is a well-known fact with any dog professional, or anyone that knows anything about dogs, to not be true. She's not at all miss behaved dog, she's actually very well trained so I'm not sure why he went off on that tangent. When I told him that you can get fined for having dogs in school grounds he became even more condescending and rude and stated....as long as you pick up your poop etcetera. NOT TRUE. He blathered on saying "people like me" call him to get free advice and was accusing me of this. Even though that's not at all what I was calling about but I wasn't able to get a word in edgewise. I was inquiring about putting my dog in an integration class. We have two dogs both very well behaved and trained but because we both work we wanted the younger one to go into a dog daycare of sorts where she can get more integration. he was very rude and condescending and he talked down to me the entire time, he didn't LISTEN to anything I said, he heard what he wanted to hear. Complete turn off. Not the kind of person you want to deal with when you're inquiring about amenities for your pets. Maybe he was having a bad day I don't know, but to lump all dog owners into a category and treat them in this way is completely inappropriate. I would strongly suggest against using this business, there are plenty of other dog facilities with more open minded kind people.
