Most recently, I was at Reunion with some friends grabbing drinks, and I found myself so grateful New Berlin was open. Everything is fresh and full of flavor - it's extremely craveable. It's important to note that the bread is also as close to authentic as possible in the States - their team made sure of that! The truck owner noted that she sometimes adds other dishes to the menu as well, such as kimchi fried rice with smoked bacon. For drinks, the Bop offers sodas, Korean specialty drinks, and peach tea. I was lucky to find the Bop near my workplace to test out the food. I ordered the japchae with spicy chicken, which was short-cut sweet potato glass noodles cooked perfectly in a tasty sauce with a variety of vegetables. The sauce is more cooked into the noodles than it is poured on top. It had less sesame oil than what I was used to in japchae, but it was still quite delicious. The spicy chicken was not very spicy at all (I asked for it that way). I imagine if I had asked for it to be spicier, she would have been able to make it so. The peach tea, which was a black tea that seemed to be sweetened and flavored with peach juice, was the perfect companion to the meal. A coworker ordered the bibimbap, and it looked delicious as well! If you have the good fortune to stumble upon the Bop, definitely give it a try!
