Carne Asada, Carnitas, Lengua & wash it down with Jamaica!

Authentic Tacos.... So far the best we've had in Nashville. They have friendly service and food is prepped quickly. Just remember, CASH ONLY! My favorite is the Asada. I believe they're $1.39/taco - what a deal!! I get them w all the fixings : onion and cilantro. They also provide limes, pickled carrots, grilled onions and peppers. The salsa is key to a great taco and they have it! I didn't try the mild, but their spicy is legit! If you have a craving for great tacos, you will need to try Taqueria El Dollar!

This truck was right outside our knights inn hotel and it was fantastic. We ate here multiple times. Due to inflation the tacos are now $2 but still a deal. Tacos were fresh and very good. I tried every flavor except tongue. I also got the combo platter for $12 which was also great tasting. The green mild sauce has a kick to it. Really enjoyed this go to quick meal. People running the truck were also very friendly.

Great street tacos ... I am a 5 year resident of Nashville that transplanted (escaped) from Southern California. The only thing I really miss from Cali is real authentic street tacos, which we could find in so many places near LA. I was so happy to see the Orange Taco Food truck - Taqueria El Dollar #1 at a local corner (1st and Spring in Phillips 66 lot). Wifey and I stopped in to try a pollo, asada, and carnitas street tacos. $1.25 each. Meat in all was chopped small and had a good flavor, a bit crispy from the hot grill - mmmm. Add in regular onion toppings, hot sauce, a squeeze of lime and included pickled/spicy carrots and peppers and we both were in taco-heaven. We will be back to try other menu options but this truck is the real deal in Nashville!!!

I like this food truck, you may ask why the 3 starts then? I like it, I don't love it... Here is why: 1) Great location for me because it's close to my work without having to go too far for real street tacos at an affordable price. 2) The attendant was nice and very informative on their food (I ask FYI, he didn't offer). Very polite and willing to answer questions. 3) Food has good taste but it's way too greasy. I get it's street tacos but wow. Too much. 4) They are located on the parking lot of the Phillips 66 gas station on 1st and Spring st. by Crosspoint Church. 5) Depending on who you are location may seem difficult, I had no problem getting in or out on lunch traffic. 6) Their salsa definitely needs improvement. I only tried the green salsa and it was good but needed a bit more flavor. Space was good. Definitely will comeback and try the other dishes they offer and update on it.

This place is simply the best. I consider myself a a street taco connoisseur as i've tried nearly every Mexican place around and nothing has topped Taqueria El Dolar. The food is absolutely delicious, the people are always incredibly kind, and the price is very cheap for what you get. Seriously check this place out, you won't be disappointed!

Unreal. Seriously, bring cash and enjoy one of the best meals in town. I recommend four or five tacos. You can't go wrong with the el pastor and carnitas tacos, but I'm guessing it's all good

This taco truck is to die for. True authentic Mexican tacos, w/the best carnitas (marinated pork) tacos. $1.25 per taco, best deal in town!

Stoke Haus Brewing & BBQ is hands down the best BBQ experience of my life!…read more A few helpful tips before you go: parking is a little limited right in front and the entrance is easy to miss. There is additional parking around the side in an open lot that felt safe, was free (at least currently), and was super convenient. Once you arrive, walk around the left side of the building and order inside at the bar. They'll give you a pager, and when your food is ready, you'll head outside to the food truck for pickup. When we first walked in, I have to admit I thought, "What is that smell?" Then I realized it was the giant brewing vats and the smell of the beer-making process. Once I connected the dots, I actually started appreciating it and felt it added to the experience and the authenticity of the brewery. We tried their signature beer, a quality dark ale that paired perfectly with our meal. It had a great depth of flavor and was the perfect complement to the BBQ. For food, we ordered and split: Half order of ribs: incredibly tender with a crispy, flavorful top. They were packed with flavor and came with two dipping sauces. I preferred the BBQ sauce over the Carolina-style sauce, but both were enjoyable. Brussels sprouts: OH MY GOODNESS. I genuinely did not know vegetables could taste this good. Even my veggie-hating partner loved them, which honestly says everything. These were a standout. Mac & cheese: visually, this was beautiful and looked like it was going to be a favorite. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the way I expected and wasn't as satisfying as I hoped. THE BRISKET BURGER = THE STAR OF THE SHOW! I have never had a brisket burger before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was phenomenal. The Gouda cheese was incredible, and the combination of the mayo, pickles, and sauce created the perfect balance of flavors. It was everything you want in a burger and more. This is the dish I will be telling everyone about. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was fantastic. They have board games in the back, and it looks like they host karaoke nights, which gives the space a really fun, community-oriented feel. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. Great food, great beer, great people, and a unique experience. Stoke Haus is a must-visit and if you go, do yourself a favor and order the brisket burger. You won't regret it.

We needed to eat before beginning our 2 hour drive home. I wanted BBQ but not from a chain. Not…read moresomewhere with a shiny sign, rocking chairs on the front porch, a front porch. You know the places I'm talking about. No, I wanted somewhere authentic. In a neighborhood, not near the mall. A place most people would drive past. Stoke Haus is all this and more. Much more. 2pm on Sunday and the parking lot was full. (I'm sure a good handful was for the liquor store next door). The first issue - how do you get in?? There is no front door. There is a tall wooden fence on the side of the building. I peek through the gap between the fence and the wall. A long smoker, a pile of wood, a small food truck (what???). I see a couple leaving the building by a side door. This must be it. There is a sign taped to the door: order at the bar and pick up at the truck. Following instructions, we approach the bar. The couple next to me just got their food. OMG. That looks so good. I ask what they have...brisket, a pulled pork sandwich, German potato salad, cole slaw, fried okra and a little pile of pickles and marinated onions. I don't even look at the menu. "I want that" I tell the bartender. We each order a beer (I forgot to mention that this is a brewery too). We received our beer and a buzzer, found a table and proceeded to play on our phones until the buzzer went off. My husband went outside to the food truck and came in with a metal tray nearly overflowing with food. We didn't waste a second digging in. The brisket was incredibly tender with a most amazing bark. A little too fatty, even for brisket, but still a "must order". The sandwich was absolutely stuffed with tender, juicy pulled pork. Perfection. The sides, especially the potato salad were excellent (though the okra wasn't made from scratch, it was still worthy). The pickles? That final little "oomph". Our meal wasn't just a home run, it was a grand slam! I've written a lot of reviews. I've written a lot of 5 star reviews. I'd love to be able to give Stoke Haus 10 stars. This is definitely a don't miss!!
