With my barkada, whenever there are out of town trips or off-to-the-South events, our usual meeting spot is the Shell Station along Julia Vargas in Pasig. It's the easiest landmark and most convenient place to meet up before driving down C5. There are a few fast food chains and establishments to hang out in while waiting for everyone to arrive. There are branches of Jollibee, Chowking and Papa John's, and of course Shell's staple convenient store, Select. Amidst these restos stand a small but inviting coffee shop called Clover Cafe.
While I've been to this particular Shell station countless times, I have only gotten to try Clover Cafe just this morning. While waiting for my Uber ride to pick me up, I decided to check it out.
It seemed like a very chill place to hang out in. The entire glass wall which had the entrance door to the cafe lends natural light inside the venue. I think it's a pretty cool place to sit back and read a book at.
I got to try their Iced Mocha, which was recommended by the barista. I had it to go so I can't talk much if it was packaged in a nice way. BUT! The Iced Mocha was actually pretty good! It wasn't overly sweet and I could really taste the mix of chocolate and caffeine beautifully. To be honest, I was not expecting anything great. Glad I got pleasantly surprised by that drink!
Hey! I got lucky at the Clover Cafe! read more
