Love this company…read more We hired them in March 2015 and they did a fantastic job. They were on time and on budget. No complaints.

"The Industry Leader". A bold statement for which Opus One Design Build deserves every letter…read more After a home accident my family and I were displaced in a hotel until repairs were completed. I posted a job request and was contacted by 4 different contractors. RJ from Opus One Design Build was not only the first individual to contact me, he made contact within 15 minutes after my posting. Other contractors made contact hours or even a day later. Not only did RJ beat the pack in communication response, he was also the only one demonstrate a professional composure. This composure was also demonstrated by Russell, our Project Manager, also by Stacie and Wendy at the home office. This well engineered team ensured that all communications were promptly returned by the necessary staff member. Thanks to this finely crafted team we were able to have repairs, upgrades, and an addition completed in an astonishing time frame. All work completed matches the existing structure and the quality has exceeded expectations. A number of neighbors were so impressed the work flow and finished project they have requested referrals for home improvement projects. I do not often review businesses, and when I do it's because they either struck out or hit one out of the park. Opus One Design Build unarguably falls in the category of the latter. My family and I are back in our home, and it feels like home. I cannot recommend another contractor for any project, large or small. They have certainly earned a customer for life.

Avoid Sheridan Nurseries at all cost! Fresh cut Christmas trees average $200 and they are…read moreridiculously skinny, have huge gaps between the branches, rarely have a "good side", stop absorbing water within days of being brought inside (even if freshly cut minutes before putting it in a stand full of water), last less than 10 days before they are totally dried up and dead, drop needles absolutely everywhere and there are very few trees left to choose from unless you are looking for a short Balsam. It is shocking to me that people are still being scammed into buying exorbitantly priced trees from them given how incredibly terrible they are. People might as well go to a supermarket and buy a tree for $50 since they would be getting an even better quality tree than they would get at Sheridan Nurseries. This sort of practice should be prohibited from continuing and the company should be called out for their false advertising (website and posts showing gorgeous trees, different types and heights and ample selection) when in fact they started letting customers pre-order trees starting in early November so when they receive shipments, the employees search through the trees for the nicest ones and those trees then go to fill all the pre-orders, leaving only the awful trees to choose from. They lie to customers to get them into the store and only then do the customers realize the trees that are left are nothing like the ones advertised. Sheridan Nurseries knows that many, many customers cannot shop around at different stores for a tree so they are essentially a captured audience who then feel compelled to buy a tree despite the atrocious quality and outrageous price tag. Sorry for my rant but I am so tired of businesses ripping off their customers, especially when discretionary spending for many people is now a huge struggle. Customers' expectations to get what they pay for are completely legitimate and they shouldn't even have to think about the possibility of receiving an inferior product or service when paying a premium or the top end of the market. I truly hope people will stop supporting them.
