I repeat do not book this company. I booked a party package for my daughter's 5th birthday and I receive no entertainment. My party was cancelled two hours before it was scheduled to begin and I was told to call to find my own entertainment. The owner of the company texted me at 8:39 am the day of the party to inform me that the 2 characters/performers I booked had covid and would not be able to attend. I proceeded to ask what options would I have so my daughter would still have some form of party. I sent a text message at 9:08 am asking what options I had. 9:08 am: I asked if I could choose another character and confirm if the other services such as face painting would still go on as planned. 9:55 am: Dashon (owner of the company) responded via text with the options available. I tried calling several times to ensure I would in fact be able to choose another character and confirm if the third person in the package would be able to do face painting and the rest of the services I paid for. Dashon finally answered the phone and ensured me that the party would still go on. Well fast forward to 12:00 pm I received a text stating that he did not have anyone to come out to my daughters party and to call other companies to see if I could find characters on my own. This company and Dashon in particular failed to plan for my daughter's party. During my desperate search to find party entertainment. I was told but a company Dashon uses frequently that Thursday evening Dashon was searching for Elsa and Anna performers and was not able to find anyone. But somehow his performers had covid. The covid story is very debatable but even if the performs/characters had covid Dashon failed to deliver with the other services included in the package. It's completely unprofessional to tell a customer two hours before their party to call and look for entertainment. I even had to threaten to sue Dashon for him to send me my money back. My event date was July 1,2023. The event was my daughters 2nd birthday and the entertainer for the event was Elmo. The package was a simple walk-through (basic) package and the duration was 45 minutes. Considering that it was a children's event, overall it was a successful experience because the kids were satisfied with the presence of the entertainer in and of itself. As an observer however there were a few things that I noticed: 1. The entertainer showed up alone. 2. The costume was dated and somewhat off-putting in its appearance (my otherwise overly touchy 2yo opted for a high-five instead of a hug) 3. My wife had to help the entertainer jerry-rig her costume as it was damaged and unable to zip up completely. Beyond my experience day of, I noticed communication grew more inconsistent as the even approaches. The "On-Call" dispatch manager hung up on me the day before the event when trying to resolve an issue. I left a voicemail immediately following and never heard back from anyone at the company since. All and all I'd choose not to retain the services of this company again based on the totality of the experience. My advice to the owner would be to invest in new character costumes, provide better communications with customers and try to utilize the same cashapp account throughout the entirety of the experience. I couldn't but feel like you guys weren't a legit business when I went to make mu final payment and the original cashapp address that I submitted payment through was unable to receive payments. A truly disastrous experience, avoid at all costs. There is a reason they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. After discussing our party details weeks in advance and paying a $250 deposit to secure ClownNAround, we were notified via email the afternoon before the event that the selected Princess would only be arriving and staying for the first 30 minutes of our 1.5 hour scheduled timeslot. This information had not been previously communicated even after we checked in three days prior to make sure we were all set for the event. In an attempt to make sure that all of our party guests could see the Princess, we requested a call to discuss and for the entertainer to arrive later in the time slot since an exact timeslot had not been disclosed prior. Instead of calling, providing, or even suggesting a solution, the owner of ClownNAround cancelled the entertainment completely (less than 24 hours to the event start time) and promised to issue a refund. To date, ClownNAround has failed to return the $250 deposit paid via Zelle despite assuring we would receive a prompt refund, likely by the next business day. I strongly urge anyone looking for professional and reliable birthday entertainment to look elsewhere. This is an extremely unprofessional and very dismissive company and staff! read more

Do not book this company. My niece had a party scheduled with them to include isla and Ann, face painter and party attendant. The owner reached out to say the characters had Covid at 7 am for a 2pm party. He told us other characters were available and then at 12 he said they were not. He did not provide the face painter or party attendant. To make matters worst as we scrambled to find characters for the party, several companies told us that he had been trying to staff my niece party since the Thursday. Today was my son's 5th birthday party and we retained Clown N Around services. Let me start by saying that I am utterly disappointed. First they were 90 mins late with no notice which impacted the timeframe of our party. Then the first person to arrive was a gentleman in regular street clothes whose job was to twist balloons. We asked if he was changing and he said NO. Then the clown finally got there and she looked and acted like she did not want to be there. I addressed that and her attitude only got marginally better. Later I found out from another parent that she over heard the clown cursing at the balloon guy. My wife and I are pissed and will be taking this up with the owner. I booked the Founders Package, which was missing the following: First the founder did not stay for the entire event There was no Bubble Machine There was no prizes for the games (I had to assist with facilitating the musical chairs as the founder DaShon Forrest left his staff ill prepared to manage the amount of children, which I advised months ago would be there...no microphone was left which was extremely tacky No Face Painting was included; DaShon returned back to the party 15 minutes before it was over and stated he was getting ready to do the face painting. It was impossible to paint 40 kids in 15 minutes. All of my guest were packing up to leave at this point. No Give Away Bags was provided as he returned when my guest were already leaving No Gift for the birthday child Arts & Crafts station was a joke! Popcorn was out and no one was there to assist to ensure all kids could have popcorn I tried to address my issues with the company but was dismissed and received excuses and blame projection. He never once acknowledged his faults and I later found out that he had left to go to another party. I was originally informed that he left to go to get arts and crafts supplies. To date, I have not received a call from him despite him agreeing to do so. I left several messages and have yet to receive a follow-up call. I really wanted to like the event. Tried to ignore the small details that i was not content with. However, at the very end they did it--it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I purchased tickets to the Royal Mickey Mouse Breakfast. The tickets were pretty expensive. $60 per person, being that 3 in my group are little kids who wouldn't even eat what 1 adult could consume. Nonetheless, I willingly paid because it sounded amazing... mickey and minnie and elmo and cookie monster!! My kids would have a blast. Well, the day came. The venue was not designed for kids, especially the targeted age. (It looked like a bachelor's pad Loft with very dangerous stairs that we had to go up and down in order to get to our table and then get the food from the buffet on the lower level. Being I paid such high prices, I was also not too thrilled with the amount of advertisements throughout the event. I thought I paid for the ad-free version!! There were no activities for the targeted age other than when the characters walked around. Or did their final dance show at the end.The best entertainment was the hula hoop dancer. My heart was changong towards the event by this show time. I can see they put a lot of work and dedication.......and then.......as it ended they placed a cotton candy machine by the exit door and announced over the microphone that it would be $5 each!!!!!!! I booked with clown n around for my daughters 10th birthday party well in advance to ensure that there were no hiccups. Dashon came with a skeleton crew consisting of 1 other person to entertain 30 kids. On top of that the hula hoop entertainer cancelled the morning of, due to a family emergency. Mid party, Dashon left, leaving the only staff member to twist balloons, make cotton candy, popcorn, face painting and serve icecream All at once. The poor kid was overwhelmed and my party entertainment fell short. At some point my friends had to step in to entertain the kids because Dashon left without as much as a heads up. At the moment, I am still waiting on a refund for the hula hoop cancellation which was almost 500 dollars. Dashon has ignored all attempts to reach him and has essentially stolen my money. Do not be fooled by the cute website and pictures. Dashon talks a great pitch but lacks the professionalism and care for his little clients. There were two performers, and while one was decent at best, the other was down right horrible. No energy, not engaging, late, bland, and honestly just a waste of time and money. I called the owner to inform him of the issue and he wanted video documentation of the party to "prove" that services were not performed. I dont have a video of the ENTIRE party start to finish, not that it would have helped because things were so staggered because they were LATE! We had my son's first birthday and Mickey Mouse came and partied with us. The character and the coordinator were very much on point and kept the kids entertained from start to finish. The face painting and balloon animals was also very well received. The only thing that didn't work out as well was that the sound system was very faulty during the dancing part with Mickey. I hired this entrainment company for my children's joint bday party ages 1 and 3 and we were so impressed and delighted by what they delivered. Not only did they arrive promptly but they set up quickly with full backdrop, lighting, and audio; as well as had an awesome Chase from Paw Patrol Character, balloon puppets, music. The only conclusion that I can come to is that the 5 star reviews are written by friends of the company. I have called four times and emailed twice about the LivingSocial/Groupon deal asking questions and have not received any response to my inquiries. I spoke to someone twice and was told they would respond to my e-mail when they got to their office at 2:30, but never got a response (this was my 2nd e-mail after waiting 24 hours for a response to the first one). I normally dont leave reviews but after my awful experience today I felt like I needed to. I cant say much about the Spiderman we hired for my sons 2nd birthday party because he NEVER showed up. I had a home full of family and friends for a full spiderman themed party and he never showed! He was scheduled to be there at 4pm and at 4:10pm I called the booking company just to be told he was on his was. I was told this every time I called back from then until 5:40 pm at which point I finally gave up and relented and asked for a refund of my deposit. I hired Clown N Around Entertainment for my daughter's first birthday party about a week ago and they did an excellent job. They showed up on time and were prompt with the set up. They did a little bit of DJing to get some energy in the room, there was some balloon twisting, and they did a puppet show that everyone really enjoyed. The crowd was thoroughly entertained and engaged with their performance. I think that the biggest thing that most of the guests at the party commented on and appreciated was the positive message in their act. In particular, there was one act that centered on respect for others and another where the theme was anti-bullying. The gentleman that runs the company is very entrepreneurial and business-oriented and I do not regret hiring this company. Based on my experience, I would recommend them to others. read more

I had an awful experience with this company. The performance was not too bad, but they made a scene at the end of the party. I paid a deposit upon booking and agreed to pay the balance by cash or check. On the day of the party, they had a new app and wanted to enforce new rules even though we already had an agreement. I already had the payment prepared so the party could flow smoothly, but that was not good enough. Of course I did not have time to deal with that because I had over 40 guests, but they persisted and made it very uncomfortable. Then, it took 10 minutes to pull up the app and it did not work properly at first. I even asked them to simply send me a PayPal link or invoice and I would pay right then. Their "follow up" took 30 minutes away from a 2.5 hour party. It was unfair to the guest of honor, our guests and me. The communication from start to finish was a disaster and they single handedly ruined my son's first birthday party. They were suppose to be the entertainment! I never received a courtesy call the day before the event and when I tried contacting them the day of the party, I was directed to email them! The founder/CEO emailed me back "confirming" everything was all set only he confirmed the wrong time! After I emailed asking for a phone call, the entertainer called 15 minutes after the scheduled time and said she was 15-25 minutes away. She blamed traffic as her reason for being late. An hour later (after I called her back three times and emailed twice) she finally called me back and said she was still 20 minutes away! I don't even know where to begin. The experience was horrible beginning to end. I didn't receive a confirmation when I booked with them (even after speaking to someone on the phone). The entertainers were LATE. When they finally did get there they were in a rush. They didnt even stay a complete hour! Additionally, the dance party was extremely off base and not age appropriate. When I was informed of a dance party, I believed it would be something the kids could relate to, as this is a party for a one year old. However, this was not the case. The music and dance moves were extremely inappropriate even for the older children who were present. Furthermore, my instructions/requests for the party explicitly stated for there to be NO balloon animals or anything made with the rubber/latex balloons. This was no just an inhalation issue for a one year old, but also happened to be an allergy issue for a party guest. NONE of the flow or presentation was the way in which it was presented to me at the time of booking. The only conversation the clown had with me was asking when he would receive payment.
