There are no salepersons! no one will try to sell you any personal training packages, fitness assessment, peronalized fitness programs. They do provides them if that's what you needs. There are no initial fees, membership promotions on the radio, the prices are the same year round unless you want to join the 3 months summer membership which is at a discounted rate. All the rates/fees are posted so there are no hidden fees. Memberships includes: A comprehensive fitness appraisal and counselling session A personalized exercise program Supervision by highly knowledgeable fitness professionals Aerobic classes townwide Use of all Town-owned pools, including Aquafit, lane swim and recreation swim Use of Thornhill and Centennial Fitness Centres The equipment room is nice and open with big floor to ceiling windows. The equipments are clean and up to date. There is at least 2 fitness trainers supervising and they are more than happy to show you how to use the equipments or the machines. The changeroom has 4 showers, a sauna, a whirlpool and tons of day lockers for use. And the use of town wide swimming pools for lane/recreation swim and aquafit classes is a plus! All you need is to flash your membership card and you get in for free! The only thing is the fitness classes, you do need to enroll online every terms. So I ended up waking up at 6:30 AM to register in order to get in some of the classes! Fitness members are put on waitlist if not enough non members are enrolling then members got a spot. I usually have no problems getting into the classes I want because they are mostly non prime time classes! The monthly fees are charged every month to my credit card around ($43) and you do need to renewal every year if you do want to continue with your membership. There are specials for seniors, full time students and financial aids are available with proof of income.

The place is kept pretty clean, and the amenities are pretty good - plenty of showers, code combination lockers, and a fair range of hair dryers and freebie lotions and toiletry products. I found the price VERY reasonable, maybe partly due to the fact that I had qualified for a corporate type membership, but I also have to say that I was very pleased that with the passing of the years that I was a customer, I wasn't subject to any rate increase. There are several staff who have been here for years, and some of them are truly great instructors - I remember mostly Gillian (sp.?) for her spin and aerobics type classes. I would end up usually just making use of the machines to fit my schedule, and found them adequate - your usual treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines, stair machines. They were generally all in good working order and well maintained. There are plenty of specialist staff if you want additional services. You do get the sales pitch for those when you get your complimentary services, but it's not too high pressure and the complimentary services are a good start to your membership. Most of all, I have to give this gym 5 stars for their service and integrity - including that point where you cancel your membership. (Not to mention, it was great having a stint of many years without the place going out of business, as gyms tend to do.) When I came in to do the final deed, it was the most painless experience (pun intended) a gym could offer - they promptly, efficiently, and with a smile, processed my paperwork, confirmed dates and amounts, and reassured me with an official slip in the event that there were any glitches with payments ending (there were none). I can't believe it, but it was a sad good-bye to this gym. I hope and pray that I can find a replacement that can fill its shoes. I would go back in a raised rate heartbeat.

Both very clean, which was something I always disliked about other gyms I have had a membership at. They have a treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine and stationary bike so I can switch up my cardio. They have a lot of different equipment for various exercises. I signed up for some personal training, which I was apprehensive about at first but the studio manager and my trainer had such great energy, I couldn't help but be excited to start working out right away. My first session was free and started with a really relaxed conversation about my overall health, not only physically, but mental as well! My trainer is great. He pushes me every session and we've never done the same workout twice. I've never felt this great, mentally and physically. I have attended one of their yoga classes. I don't personally enjoy yoga, but it was still a nice activity. I would recommend this studio to anyone who wants to simply get active and just feel better. Similar with other broken gym equipment, took way too long to fix . My 13 year old son also had a membership attached to my account as a family member and paid by me. But when I cancelled my membership it apparently didn't automatically cancelled his eventhough he is a child and not paying for it. Not only that, they changed his membership without the family discount automatically , no notification to me the account holder . The manager could not even record my complain instead gave me a head office number to call. So if you considering to join a gym, go to LA fitness across the road instead , much better facilities and customer service for half the price .
