The best way to describe this Goodlife location is "well loved". The facilities and amenities are…read moreoutstanding compared to other Goodlife locations, but the gym is run down and in need of renovations. You can park for free in the underground lot, but they require a $20 deposit for a pass. On my visit, they had run out of passes so they gave me a validation card instead. The change rooms are downstairs and there is no elevator. Everything was in working order, pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and bathing suit spinner. The showers were well stocked with soap/shampoo and conditioner. There is a small sitting room in the change room area and stations with mirrors and blowdryers. The change rooms are pretty smelly and the general atmosphere is dark. There are lots of lockers, but they are rusty. I overhead a couple of women discussing what the health department would think of the place, it was clean though and I didn't see anything that seemed unsafe. The pool is open for general use for most of the day and into the evening. Aquafit classes are offered mostly in the mornings. The pool has four lanes that were politely shared by 5-6 members on my Friday afternoon visit. There are a variety of floatation devices on the pool deck to borrow if you like. I did not get a chance to use the upper gym area and will do so on another visit. It didn't look too busy. There is a café beside the Goodlife in case you are looking for a pre/post workout snack.

I tried the free introductory class at Club Pilates in August 2024 and immediately knew I wanted to…read moregift myself a membership. The class was enjoyable and left a strong impression. I did have a few questions about group and private sessions afterward. Although my interaction with the front desk felt a bit rushed--understandably, as they were trying to assist the next person--I chose to look past it because the class itself had been such a positive experience. I officially became a member in September 2024. I waited a bit before writing this review because I wanted to understand the overall culture of the studio, especially after that initial front desk encounter. I'm happy to say that since then, my experience has been consistently great. The instructors are knowledgeable and attentive. I also appreciate how the class schedule accommodates my irregular routine, with classes available every day of the week. Each class feels fresh and different, which makes it not only a full-body workout but also a great mental reset. Pilates has significantly supported the other physical activities I do. I no longer feel the same level of soreness after skiing, swimming, or even playing badminton. My massage therapist even commented that my muscles are noticeably less stiff. Movement really does heal. Pilates has helped improve my fascial health, posture, body alignment, and overall physical well-being. There are many places where you can try Pilates, but for me, this studio has been both convenient and genuinely enjoyable. Is it worth it? Absolutely. I'm joyfully investing in my health and well-being through Club Pilates.

I am so happy to have a true reformer studio in this part of North York, and I think the classes…read morehere are really impressive! The studio is a welcome and much needed facility on our neighbourhood. Make note, the visitor parking is tricky to find as you have to go into the underground lot of an adjacent building. On the plus side, parking is free. I recommend calling first to get directions to the lot before you go. Also, it's hard to find information online about pricing. I don't blame the studio for this, as it is a franchise and this is probably a corporate rule, but you might consider calling ahead to find out the details about pricing as well. I think the management of this location is fabulous, friendly and welcoming and the classes are fun and engaging. Definitely worth checking out (and they offer a free intro class!).

I attend this location solely for the Lesmills group exercise classes and for Jimmy's classes only…read moreas he is by far one of the best instructors out there! He cares about his students & takes his time to make sure that we are doing it correctly so that we don't waste our time and to ensure that we do not injure ourselves. He is very high energy which feeds off to the rest of us & we feel energy moving through us while doing his Combat & Pump class. Even before entering the group ex class & upon entering the gym, I am always greeted with a friendly and warm smile from Prabhjot! He always makes me feel welcomed, listens to any questions or concerns I have with care and he is just such a nice person to be able to see and interact with the moment I arrive at Goodlife. I love my chats with him! The one small complaint I have is the Recovery Room that has a couple of very good massage chairs in it. That room is always busy and it is very difficult to get access to one of those massage chairs. People don't care and will keep it on repeat even though they can see that others are waiting for the chairs. It would be cool if there can be a scanner attached to it somehow to start the machines based on your membership and can only be scanned a specific number of times within a certain time. I can't speak for any other areas in this location but I do notice that it is an extremely busy location during prime times such as after work.
